    Birria
    James Y.

The location was right down the street from the hotel so very convenient. I saw that they had birria which I like. I do have to ask if the consume is spicy for I had one which was way too spicy. Was told it was not so ordered it. Their consume seemed more tomato based so on the sweeter side. The restaurant has a good number of tables to eat in. You order at the counter but they bring food to your table. Pretty good food.

Ordered the carne asada to go and the portion is so big and food is super delicious! Amazing service here! And the inside is nice. There is a sauce bar available to take sauces to go. Highly recommend!

Tried their signature Quesabirria Tacos, the portion is good, food is freshly made. The price is a bomber tho

Tacos starting top left to right. Carnitas, Carnitas, Asada, Chorizo, Pastor, Pastor

Ordered from here on DoorDash for Cinco de Mayo and was honestly drawn to this location from the positive reviews and their LARGE amount of meat options for the tacos. I wanted to try them all, but I didn't. I did however end up getting 6 tacos which included Carnitas, Chorizo, Asada, and Pastor. Needless to say I devoured them all and will be ordering from here again. All of those tacos were delicious and I think the Chorizo and Pastor were my favorites. The Carnitas was good but felt a little dry with very little juices. If you don't like pineapple then don't get Pastor. They had a large slice or 2 on top which I'm okay with and it adds to a very juicy bite of pineapple when biting into the taco. Another thing to take note of is these tacos are CORN TORTILLAS. YES CORN, I don't know many places around here that so corn tortillas so it was a nice change of pace and I can say I actually enjoyed them. More so than flour tortillas? That will have to be answered another day. Tacos also come with green and red sauce! Both are delicious but boy does red have a kick to it. Made me cough after the first bite so be warned.

Best Mexican food & I'm from Southern California! The flavors were authentic & delicious, reminding me of home. The customer service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home in this cute, family-owned restaurant. Blessed to have found this gem--can't wait to come back!

Small place with good service, I love the way the lady hands you your food and says your dinner is ready. Can be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for! My food was delicious and very tasty! I highly recommend stopping by and supporting this small family owned restaurant!

We were in the area to eat somewhere else but the place was closed so we came here. We experienced great customer service. The carne asada fries weren't amazing but they did the job. I do regret ordering the pineapple agua fresca as it wasn't great and had a faint tap water type after taste. We were the only ones there so the food came out quickly.

Our flight got canceled and we were trying to find something close by our hotel. We came across this place and glad we did. The food was great. I'm a critic when it comes to chilaquiles and these were PERFECT! The server who was also the cashier was very friendly. Overall great experience and great food.

Still a good place to get your mexican food fix in when you're in this area. I tried something different besides their burrito. Had the chimichanga and enchilada combo. It was still good but not five stars. But worth stopping by while you are here.

    Found rubber/plastic in burrito
    Soyoung K.

Found rubber/plastic in my burrito, my husband found hairs (plural!) in his burrito. The food was not spectacular. I had a green chicken burrito and I found the chicken very dry, my husband ordered a green al pastor burrito and found it was very heavy on the rice. We tried on whim after a trip to federal way and I'm always down to try a new spot but I'll pass on coming back here again.

The food was fantastic, the flavors were on point, and the place was full of energy. There were giveaways like T-shirts, sunglasses, and keychains, though we didn't receive any, which felt a bit selective. We came back on May 12th during happy hour and sat at the bar. Once again, the food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. Alex and Jason took care of us at the bar, and they made us feel so welcome. We even ordered the entire happy hour menu and left completely satisfied. However, we've also visited several times since, including Father's Day. Unfortunately, our most recent visit wasn't as good. We sat at the bar again, and Edwin served us. My wife ordered her favorite margarita with Tajín on the rim and a shaker presentation, but it took three tries to get it right. Each time, there were errors, and we ended up being charged for one of the incorrect drinks. Service was slower than usual--no refills on my drinks, and we had to keep asking for salsa. It was surprising since the place wasn't even busy. Overall, we still love the food and atmosphere at Moctezuma's, but this last visit was a letdown. After all the great experiences, we're dropping our rating to three stars for now and will explore other options next time.

Wait started probably around 6pm although there were still empty tables then. They provide garnishes for your water and also provide 4 salsas/accompaniments for your meal. I got the 16 oz ribeye served on hot stones. They cooked it slightly less than what you want, so for my medium rare, they cook it rare. It also comes with chimichurri and molacete(?) which has a more refreshing flavor. They season with rosemary and even light a branch on fire for more aroma. I tried a bite of my friend's filet mignon which was good, but my preferred cut is the ribeye or NY strip. We also shared the papa loca (worth it - so good) and the cauliflower (not as good, but I'm comparing it to a version made by Cuerno, a Mexican steakhouse in NY). I had a glass of the pinot noir and the garzon, and both were good, slightly tannic and 'juicy'.

The first time I got the Wagyu tacos which were sooo good and I love the variety and flavor of the sauces. I loved how simple the taco Wagyu is as the meat is high quality For my second visit I got the Vacio Wagyu which came in a sizzling hot stone plate and it stayed hot for me to cook all of my Wagyu. It didn't really need the accompanied sauce but it was nice to have. I felt the large rock salt was a little bit nub and would make it too saucey but I found the rosemary a perfect combination with the Wagyu especially as one was cooking underneath. Excellent service as well - our server was attentive and timely. I've only gone here for lunch and we did not have to make a reservation as it was not too busy!

Instead of enjoying the game, we ended up leaving early because of how we were treated. My wife uses a wheelchair and relies on a trained service dog. From the moment we walked in, the owner, Hilda Ramos, was hostile and made it clear that our service dog was not welcome. We explained that the dog is a trained service animal, but she repeatedly came back to our table to question us, making us feel uncomfortable throughout our visit. By the end of our visit, she told us that our service dog would not be allowed back. The dog was calm, well-behaved, and under control the entire time. We had reserved our table in advance to enjoy the game, but because of the owner's behavior, we didn't even get to finish watching it. We didn't even finish our food or our drinks, yet we still paid our entire bill and left because we no longer felt welcome. As a fellow Mexican, and my african wife, it was especially disappointing to be treated this way. I left feeling disrespected, unwelcome, and deeply disappointed. No customer should be made to feel like they don't belong, especially when they're simply trying to enjoy a meal and are accompanied by a legitimate service animal. I hope the owner takes the time to understand the rights of customers who rely on service animals and treats every guest with dignity and respect.
