Taqueria El Rey truck in Saars parking lot.

CASH ONLY. I stopped by here actually thinking it was a different taco truck that accepted cards but this place didn't. It was a good burrito though! I had a chicken burrito for $6. I don't think there was cheese in it, which is fine for me. At least it had lettuce because the basic chicken burrito down the street at Taco Time doesn't have lettuce. It was good! In Saars parking lot. It was also very fast, so it's convenient for people on lunch breaks.

Taqueria El Rey is a great taco truck located in the parking lot of The Tukwila Trading Company located on the corner of S 114th Street & Tukwila International Boulevard. They have very affordable standard Mexican dishes with no frills. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Some other taco trucks sell ginormous burritos that instantly put me into a food coma. El Rey's burritos are a bit more understated, and usually consist of only some lettuce and a healthy serving of meat! While the carnitas I had today was fairly greasy, I wasn't exactly expecting health food from a taco truck, and neither should you! Best part was, it only cost me four bucks! I will definitely coming back here.

They have tons of Mexican candy and other treats!

I love taco trucks and Taqueria El Ray does not disappoint. I have been there twice now for lunch and ordered al pastor and steak tacos and they are delicious! The tacos are also pretty small but packed with flavor: onions and cilantro! They also provide small containers of their red and green sauces which taste homemade and are amazing. 3 tacos and a horchata is $4!! What a deal for such good food! They also sell a large assortment of Mexican candies and other treats! I was so excited when I saw the candy! Try the tamarindo con chile. Yum! Definitely going back!

The cash register area is where you look at a menu on a screen on the wall or a physical menu and place and pay your order with the cashier. We both ordered the Queso Birrieria. It comes with two tacos and a small bowl of consommé. It was very tasty. This restaurant is located kitty corner from the Riverside Casino. There was ample parking in parking lot.

I decided to give it a try after 1-2 years or so because I woke up craving good birria. This was honestly super disappointing. We ordered the trio - which stated it comes with chicharrones (usually includes fried pork belly of some sort not just fried skin, which is what I was imagining), chips, and tostones (plantain slices) - plus guacamole salsa, sour cream, and pico. We got chips, French fries??, and basic plain pork rinds (like from a gas station) - with no guac salsa. The service was ok, if anything I felt bad because there seemed to only be two people working the entire restaurant on a Saturday evening. Just the appetizer was 18$ and it was all types of inaccurate. I ordered a guacamole side in addition and the small little side was nearly 5.00$. The tacos itself were decent but nothing amazing like they use to be. Probably won't be back, not worth the price & it's unfortunate the items reads differently.

The bolillo roll that was warm and soft. It seemed like it could be made in-house. It also had ham, cheese, lots of pickles and mustard. The sandwich was simply delicious and filling. The chips were hot and made fresh. Should out to the accompanying salsa. At first taste, it started off sweet and then had a little bit of heat. It tantalized the taste buds. The decor was nice and had Latin murals. They also had a small store in the corner that offered Latin goods like chips for sale. Service was great and friendly. Stamp your passport and check this place out. I look forward to trying the chicken mole on a future visit.

They were like short ribs with a homemade BBQ sauce. We cannot wait to go back and try their other menu items.

But just as I was convincing her to give it a moment the staff came out from the back with orders, saw us, and we were quickly seated by the window. The space has been converted and feels that way, like the fingerprints of the previous tenant has not been erased. The menu is extensive with all the typical dishes we see in Mexican restaurants with very reasonable costs. They offer a few alcoholic drinks including margaritas, which I found to be splendid and perfectly balanced. The food also was tasty. I ate the enchiladas especial which seemed like fairly typical enchiladas and I mean that in the best of ways. The service also was great. Our waitress checked in on us often, was super polite and friendly, and was prompt with our bill. All in all a wonderful lunch!

I ordered a mimosa that was mostly OJ. I didn't take a picture. I had machaca, the flavor was ok but the food wasn't hot. Wife had huevos rancheros which she said they were ok. The service was bad. I had to get up to get my tortillas from the buffet isle. Waitress never came back to check on us after bringing our food. I had to get up to ask for my tab and pay at the counter. Their focus on the weekend was obvious, they focus on their buffet. I'll be trying other places near by. This is definitely not the place for me.
