Overpriced food.

Phone order was estimated for 15-20 minutes. It took nearly 40 minutes from placing the order to receiving it. $15 for papas and eggs is insane. They are thieves for charging that much. Never going back again. Overpriced, slow service, cold food. Rateros por cobrar un plato de papas y huevos a $15.

Tacos al pastor, really good flavor! Generous with the meat.

I called to order lunch and posole sounded good on this cold rainy Saturday. The girl was very friendly and helpful and when I asked if they had posole she said "Yes! We have it every day!" We've been coming to this place for years and I never knew this. I was so happy hear that because I love their posole and now we can get it any time, not just weekends like most places. We also got tacos al pastor for my son and a carne asada torta for my hunny. Of course I told them I needed to taste everything for research purposes and I'm happy to tell you guys everything was delicious! They gave us lots of different salsas and some pickled veggies on the side. This condiment addict was super excited to see all those goodies. They were all delicious. Give this place a try if you haven't already. It was clean inside and they're well known for their amazing carnitas. We will be back to try more of the menu...and on a weekday perhaps, for that delicious posole!

Burrito of asada. So much flavor in this thing. It is filled with carne asada, beans, cabbage and pico de gallo.

This is another gateway to "Flavor Town, USA". So much flavor in everything that comes out of their kitchen! Asada, BOMB! Carnitas, BOMB! Lengua, BOMB! Tripas, BOMB! Burritos and tacos executed to your liking! They do everything right. Their service is top notch and restaurant is clean! The burrito of asada has so much flavor in this thing. It is filled with carne asada, beans, cabbage and pico de gallo. It's rolled up and put back on the parrilla to crisp up the tortilla! Wow! It isn't a huge burrito, I would say medium size, but doesn't cost a whole lot either. It's less than $4 for great quality! If you have a big appetite, pair with 2 or 3 tacos and a drink. You'll still walk out of here spending less than $12! Delano has a lot of gems, but don't skip this place when you're looking for a great meal! !!!!IT'S A MUST TRY!!!!

Tacos: 1 Al pastor, 1 tripas, 1 cabeza, 1 buche.

Another day on my taco quest led me to Taqueria Janitzio, not to be confused with the Carniceria next to it as they are both from the same owner. As I walk in I finally feel a hint of an AC unit, really cool and small place with 4-5 tables. As I ordered I was greeted by Mayra, and we talked about the menu. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and asked me about my past experiences in Mexican restaurants. She assured me today would be a great experience. I ordered 4 tacos, 1 tripa, 1 al pastor, 1 buche, and 1 cabeza. To my surprise Mayra made sure my taco de tripas was just the way I like them....a little fried but with chew and softness as opposed to the burnt so called tripas in other places. She also explained why I couldn't get my favorite lengua taco (which had to do with market price of tongue) and to my surprise, I did not miss the lengua taco bc the buche taco was a good or even better. It was soft and chewy with beefy flavor in the back of the palate. The Al Pastor was chunky, which was something that caught me by surprise but in a good way. The meat was tender and the spices and citrusy flavor came through. I'm sure to be back to try something new on the menu, or just to say hi to the ladies at the restaurant. Especial thanks to Maura because she was very welcoming and carried a fun food conversation with me during my visit.

We came here for lunch while waiting for our motorcycle. Not knowing what to expect by the mixed reviews. First of all when we walked in we were not sure if you order then sit since there is a menu up on the wall and a counter, until we were greeted and asked if it was for here or to go. So we took a seat and she gave us menus and took our drink order then brought us chips and salsa. Man they have the best salsa!!! My husband ordered the chili verde and I ordered two mini carne asada tacos. I was amazed how quickly the food came, like 3 minutes!! I know most everything that we ordered is pre-cooked but wow that was fast and the food was so fresh. My husband said his food was really good and my tacos were too. I don't know about any of the other reviews but we had a really good experience here and next time we are in Delano we will definitely come here again.

Amazing service. Stopped in this small town on our way home to San Diego and what a !!! Food is incredible.

Too bad I didn't take a pic before I ate ! They give a generous amount of rice and their tacos are filled up!

Ate here years ago and wanted to come back. I ordered their 3 asada tacos w/rice and beans dish & wow they really fill their tacos and rice given was generous! The complimentary chips and salsa that we got was delicious too! The salsa had the perfect heat, it was tasty! Our server was awesome (she had glasses on-forgot her name) she provided great customer service, will definitely come back again.

Update: Ok came back and the food came out very quickly. I was super happy with my plate. Fresh tortillas and great Chili Verde! I liked the chips and salsa. Both we fresh and yummy also. This is good spot for affordable and good Mexican food. First review: Good food but extremely slow service. Only come here if her have over 35 to wait for food. Good daily deals but not worth it if you are in a hurry.

The birria

I just placed an order today asking for a torta, a plate of birria, an extra side of beans, and a large drink. Instead of getting the plate of birria they gave me a big container of it with no rice and beans and the birria tasted disgusting. It tasted like it was made days ago. It was literally mostly juice and bone. They gave us another big container of salsa and no chips? Makes no sense. The only thing made right was the torta. When placing the order the woman who "took" the order seemed in a rush. Nobody should be given food like this or your employees need to pay better attention.

Sandra L.

The salsa was too salty here and we weren't offered refills like you would at other Mexican restaurants. I had the torta. It was plain without many toppings. The bread was burnt and the meat was was a bit fatty. I don't think I'd eat here again.

Taquitos de papa. And yes, they were good!!

Great service and great place to come and eat at any given time . They have delicious options and…read morerefreshing house drinks to enjoy on a hot summer day. They are playing the FIFA games all day here too.

This place is down the street from one of my offices and I decided to take a walk and pick up some…read moreceviche for lunch. I was really impressed with the decor and layout of the restaurant. There was some road construction out front and assumed the place would be empty, but I WAS WRONG! I was greeted immediately by a kind gentleman who worked with me in ordering exactly what I wanted. I couldn't decide between a tostada de ceviche de camarón or a tostada de jaiba (imitation crab meat) so I asked if I could have a bit of both. He agreed. I payed and waited probably less than 10 minutes for my order. They even set my tostadas on the side so they wouldn't get soggy! I did dock a star because once I made it back to the office, I opened my plate and it was a large portion of food, but the jaiba was not marinated in lime nor seasoned at all... Just dry. The camarón ceviche beneath it was perfect. I did try my best to mix it up best I could. It wasn't bad, the food was flavorful, I'm sure had I made a choice of one or the other there probably wouldn't have been any issues. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the extra limes, salt and Valentina packets that came with it. They thought of everything: fork, plate, napkins. Loved that. The menu looks super appetizing and I will definitely be back to try more off the menu.
