Ordered the fajitas. Mix of chicken/beef. Asked for corn tortillas and so did my personal guest. The 3rd in our parry ordered a different meal and asked for flour. They brought one small container of mixed flour and corn tortillas so we're not two separate for each meal. Tortillas were not fresh and seemed reheated. Food was almost bland but meat was fresh. Great atmosphere but employees seemed to not care and I had to get up twice to go get our server in 1 hour as she never checked on us until the end with the bill. Didn't ask if we needed anything else. Should have went to the more authentic places close by. A shame this place could be so much better with raising the quality, taste, cooking care, customer service, care of customer experience. Not going back. I love hole-in-the-wall places, which this place definitely is, but the food and place in general was poorly done. Walked in and it looked like they may be closed/moving out, but they weren't, there just was no one around for the 1st ten minutes (we came in at noon). Menu was small and the food came out with no utesils on styrofoam plates. I am fine with styrofoam, but the food needs to taste better than the plates, which this food did not... Hate to make it hard on family owned places, but not worth the trouble to find this place. Need to step up their game or close the doors. read more

Everytime I am in FW, I try to find time to get tapatíos here. It is like flautas on a different level topped with shredded cabbage, sour cream and slice of tomatoes. To lessen the overload creaminess, you gotta enjoy them with three kinds of salsa that are all good. I personally like the deep red pepper ones. Selling by 1/2 dozen to dozen, you get to choose among 3 different kinda: regular, regular with extra salsa loaded on top/more queso! Then the combination of two! This is why I fell in love with tapatios. This elusive truck was the highlight of my drunken nights. My sister introduced me to these after a night of dancing and libations. We needed some delicious food to soak up the dranks before heading home. She had been swooning over the thought of tapatios and I happily agreed. The truck never had consistent hours- it just sort of appears sometime after 830 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and stays until all the drunks have had thier fill of tapatios and tacos. I honestly have no idea if they are there any other time or days- but they are here when I really need them What is a tapatio, you ask? Think of very slender flauta made with corn tortillas and stuffed with shredded beef (desebrada), then smothered in finely shredded cabbage and crema. Toss sliced tomato and jalapenos on the side and everything is good in the world. They can be ordered by the "media" or half dozen- but just get a full dozena and hate yourself later while you cradle your food baby. They have a limited menu at the truck, but I know you can get tacos and maybe a torta there as well. They recently extended the store front hours to stay open as late as the truck- so we tend to just go there so we aren't eating in our cars. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I have been to this place before, tacos tapatios were delicious.... However, I went Friday afternoon with a friend around 6ish they were not busy. We were not served.... I ordered 12 tacos tapatios, that is all. At first I assumed that perhaps they were probably short staffed and they would get to us when they could. Then I noticed that the family of four siting nearby received their food, they arrived about 15 minuets after us. When I asked the lady about my order she simply asked me if I had ordered up front, and I informed her I had ordered with the other waitress (there were only two waitresses working). She said she did not know where my food was and she would check. She had no sense of urgency, she seemed like she did not care at all and totally just blew me off. She went to speak to the waitress that took my order, & they both looked at me and then the lady that went to "go check" went to the back and did not come out. I gave it about 7 minutes before finally getting up and leaving. I was there for about 45 minutes total. I do not recommend this place and will NEVER go back. Service was terrible, the place did not look that clean & they clearly did not want my business. read more

This little restaurant has some awesome food for an excellent price. We shared the beef and chicken shwarma, and both were outstanding. I liked the chicken better, but there was nothing wrong with the beef for sure. The whole place smells wonderful when you walk in, and the owner is friendly and inviting. Still coming here for the BEST barbacora tacos at 2, 2:30am and STILL loving it. Never been anything less than 110% satisfied with the food, the value and the service. We always get the tacos to go and once we arrive home (approx 15 min drive), change into pjs & climb into bed- the tacos taste AMAZING, still warm, and are the perfect end to our nights out. One of my coworkers and her husband took me here after a fun night of hitting the stockyards many bars. Her husband had grown up in this neighborhood of the taqueria and promised it would be the best Menudo in town. As I had never experienced menudo I can only agree with him. We got to the JB juniors at 2:00am and the place was packed. As I do not speak much Spanish i had my hosts order for me and when they served the food I had a large serving of menudo with a side order of flautas. Both were some of the more authentic Mexican food I have tasted in the area and cannot be beaten by anything else nearby. The menudo has the right texture on the tripe and the flavor and spice was on point. I started learning Spanish for the sole reason of me wanting to go back to this place badly. read more
