We were traveling during the dinner hour and were hungry when we landed at DFW! My brother stopped here on the way to his house and picked up four orders of tacos. They were SO good! They're the kind of tacos you think about eating again while you're still full from the ones you just ate. It's an order at the counter place. The guy t who took our order was very pleasant and we didn't have to wait long for our food. This place is not fancy at all, but it was very bright and very clean. I was craving tacos and found Tacos La Banqueta on apple maps. Service was good! They welcomed us as soon as we walked in. The girl at the counter was really patient with me, and answered all the questions me and my partner had. We got the gordita al pastor (marinated pork), nopales (cactus), suadero (thin grilled beef), and chicken tacos ~all with flour tortilla. It was my first time trying nopales and this place set the bar high. Everything we got was so so delicious and perfectly seasoned. I loved the red sauce!! There are several of these locations but my first experience was at one over 50 miles from home. I'm glad there are a few somewhat closer. For this location, it is still take out only. So my coworker and I decided to order away and dine in the truck. The cashier was so welcoming and friendly. He talked us through the menu and their popular items and gave us suggestions on what to order. My coworker ordered the biggest torta that was full of tender beef. I convinced him to let me try it (when he wasn't looking) and I'll definitely order that next time. However the tacos and Gordita I ordered of suadero and cachete were outstanding too. They had agua fresca and I recommend the agua de jamaica. Great service, great food, outstanding tacos! read more

**Restaurant Review** The food was just okay. First, let me say that the waitress was very nice and helpful, but beyond that, the experience was disappointing. The corn tortillas fell apart right as I bent the taco, and to top it off, the Sprite was expired by 2 months. How is this even possible? The cleanliness of the place left much to be desired, which solidified my decision not to return. Additionally, I recommend using cash if you decide to dine here. They impose a 3% upcharge for credit or debit card transactions, which is not from your bank but their policy. This extra charge is ridiculous. Went for lunch on Friday afternoon. We will be backs. There are so many options, it is authentic and everything is delicious. On this visit I ordered a Bistec taco and fried chicken quesadilla. Parking is easy, there is social distancing and the staff wears masks. Everything is super fresh and I'm never disappointed when leaving with a full belly. The prices are spot on as well. Fresh and good ingredients, I really like the bistec and chicken, but the barbacoa and lingua are also good if you like these types of meat. What in the world. I never reviewed but I go here everyday? Disappointed in myself. BEST TACO PLACE POR MI. I've been going to the Dallas location since it's closer to work and it's amazing. The tacos are so cheap but so much quality! My ultimate favorite is the steak quesadilla for only $2.50. I usually get 3 tacos and 1 quesadilla and it will fill you up. They are not cheap on the cheese and toppings. I recommend the pastor, steak, cactus is pretty good too if you're into bell peppers/okra. Please try this place out! YOU WON'T REGERT. read more

This place has seen turnover and the rise in demand has the food quality taking a hit. Used to be a go to for visitors we had come into town. Now we scarcely will even come here. The team takes very long to greet or clean off empty tables - Instead standing grouped behind the checkout or by the food window. With food sitting in the window. Still so good the second time around! I regret not getting another torta but I did get the pambazos this time with chipotle sauce on the side and OH MY GOSH. The chipotle sauce is SO GOOD. Whatever you do, make sure to get some on the side and you wont regret it. The sandwich itself has potato, chorizo, lettuce, and cheese. I couldn't really taste the chorizo, over the potato but the green hot sauce and chipotle sauce really made it better. I also had a couple of gulps of the horchata and it's more on the sweeter side with a tinge of cinnamon but nothing really over powering. Overall good but tasted too much of condensed milk. My dad and I strolled in when I was visiting my hometown from Pittsburgh, PA, on the recommendation of a friend. When I come home to FW, I always try to get as much good Mexican and BBQ in my body as I can without severe intestinal damage. Anyway, I got 2 gorditas: saudero and pastor. Both were dank. My dad got the Pambazo. He was thoroughly impressed. They had 4 different agua frescas going. I'm telling you. This place is the jamz. If I could give this place 10 stars for best tacos in the DFW area, I'd do it without hesitation. This is my favorite go-to place for authentic Mexican-style street tacos. Not only the tacos, the gorditas and tortas are delicious as well. Keep in mind, the tortas are massive and as big as the plate! My coworker introduced me to this place, and I wish he hadn't because I now go here once a week to stuff myself with these amazingly delicious tacos. The tacos are only $1.50 each. The three I always get each week are the chorizo, bistec, and suadero. They grill them perfectly and usually give a generous amount of meat in each taco. I've had the pastor too which is really good as well, but the aforementioned three are still my go-to's. And always make sure to include cilantro and onion (unless you're not a fan of either). In regards to the sauces, they have two. I'd say the green is spicier than the red, but I always add both to bring about that extra heat. If you're yearning for some truly authentic street tacos, please do yourself a favor and go here! They also have locations in Dallas, Arlington, and Plano. I've yet to try the other spots but if I'm anywhere nearby, you best believe I'll be sitting there devouring them tacos. My favorite taqueria simply because they make the best sopes I've found in the DFW area! The masa disks are generous, thick, and hearty, and perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender and full of corny goodness on the inside. Get two of them with a tasty meat topping and you have a solid lunch. As for which meats, I always end up getting the pastor, which makes me want to cry because of how good it is and is full of stewed pineapple goodness, spices, and love. The carnitas here are unlike those I've had elsewhere in that they're more solid chunks of pork instead of shredded braised pork. I'm a wimp and I haven't tried the cow head yet. Minor note, but I love that they give you ice water that's been permeated with sliced limes when you eat in. So refreshing! read more

Both were filled with flavor but the steak in the burrito was more like an explosion of flavor. I highly recommend it. We ordered more and got a horchata and pastor tacos. The horchata was creamier than most I've had but it was still good. The pastor tacos were okay. I prefer the pastor gordita because it had more juice for the meat. All my friends order the alambre and they loove it. The food is great here. The service needs some work. The food comes fast but it takes some time for them to take your order and if you need anything after receiving your food, you'll have to get them and it will still take some time. Thought this place was gonna be amazing but they put very poor quality/quantity of food. It is not authentic DF food. The huarache was missing half of the original ingredients. Panbazo had very little chorizo and potatoes , it was more potatoes than chorizo it loaded with lettuce, sour cream, and cheeses to cover up the poor amount of meat it had.
