Hands off the best mexican el pastor tacos and carnitas tacos!!! We love stopping at this while in a wall when we return from Tampa. You want authentic tacos, check out this place! They even have the good bottled Coca Cola from Mexico!

Chips and salsa were very good, as was the guacamole. I ordered 4 carne asada tacos as well. When I got them the meat did not appear to be carne asada. I tasted it and it was bland and had an al pastor consistency. The meat was crumbled up. I am from Chicago and I know carne asada when I get it. I asked a worker and she said it was carne asada. This is not carne asada at all. Customer service was excellent and this is nothing against the staff but the tacos lacked for me. If you want real carne asada I would recommend urban cantina in downtown Tampa. Las papas fritas y la salsa estaban muy buenas, al igual que el guacamole. También pedí 4 tacos de carne asada. Cuando me los trajeron, la carne no parecía carne asada. La probé y estaba sosa y tenía una consistencia de al pastor. La carne estaba desmenuzada. Soy de Chicago y sé reconocer la carne asada. Le pregunté a una trabajadora y me dijo que era carne asada. Esto no es carne asada para nada. El servicio al cliente fue excelente y no tengo nada en contra del personal, pero los tacos no me convencieron. Si quieres carne asada de verdad, te recomendaría Urban Cantina en el centro de Tampa.

The restaurant might be small but the portions are far from that. I had my Al pastor torta for 2 days. The torta was clearly freshly made and did not take long to prepare. Solid slight crisp on top of the bread and well distributed ingredients. Al pastor was a little fattier than I'm used to, however, it was prepared well. This place is more of a take out place as there is not a lot of seating inside and the parking lot only has room for a few cars. But service was quick and smooth

Great selection of tacos. It's a small taco truck on the side of the road easy to miss but it's definitely worth the stop. Their menu is small but they offer so many different types of tacos from steak, chicken, ground beef, shredded beef, al pastor, beef tongue, and shrimp. I tried one of each and they were all great. Their house made hot sauce and guacamole sauce were so good.

Brooooooo! Are you kidding me! New to the area and we saw this gem on the side of the road. It's definitely a must try. It's a legit food truck with shaded seating and a place to wash your hands. Yes it's still outdoors so you will have to deal with other outdoor elements but when you savor your first bite. Oh it makes you forget everything else in that moment. In fact all else in the world is fine when the flavors hit your taste buds. It's time for self care and this place will heal your soul.

Amazing tacos, if you love traditional Mexican tacos and love the spice, this is the place, 'my boyfriend got the chicken and absolutely loved them, I got the marinaded pork (Al pastor) and it was extremely juicy, was quite surprised some people said they were dry. This was my third favorite truck out of ceasers in port Charlotte and as well as another restaurant in fort myers. Only thing is I wish they gave bigger slices of lemons. Other than that 9.7-10!

Ordered two shrimp tacos and a steak one. The steak one was very bland, no seasoning, but fresh. Also got three carnita tacos and they tasted very good. Lastly, tried the tres leche cake and it was pretty good too. The ambiance is a food truck but it has seating in like a lanai. The service was pretty good. Amazing off the beaten path Mexican cuisine! You can tell the owners put a lot of care into their food and it is really good quality for the prices! I have a gluten allergy (not celiac I want to be clear just avoid gluten) and I asked them to make a burrito but with no tortilla in a box for me and they did it perfectly! I got the barbacoa with beans lettuce and rice. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Mexican but don't wanna break the bank! read more

Recommend the Menudo, which is very tasty and well prepared. Tacos are authentic and good. Prices are a bit higher than comparable restaurants of similar quality. It's not really a standout, but it will not disappoint. read more

We had the Al pastor tacos with a side of rice and beans and they were ok. The tacos were a bit dry and very greasy. The beans didn't taste fresh. We also had the elote en baso and it had too much mayo/crema. Again, it was ok. The place was not very clean or welcoming. No screens on the enclosure, dirty tables and the cook touched the sliding door with his gloves then proceeded to turn around and cook with those same gloves on. This place is my new favorite taco spot in the Brandon area. I've been to it 2-3 time a month for the last few months. I definitely recommend this place over the other toco spot on 60 and kingsway as that place has gotten to mainstream and has lost quality. What separates this spot from others is the size of the tacos for the price, and the tortillas. I recommend the tacos de barbacoa, I can eat a lot of tacos but 3-4 tacos is definitely plenty to fill me up. One last plus about this place is that they also take card, and are not cash only! read more

This place is amazing! I love a hidden gem that is humble and amiuthentic and this is all of that and much more. The corn tortillas are perfectly hand made and sustain all the meat they add to it. We tried 5 Al pastor, 2 asadas, 1 chicken, 1 ground beef and they are all very good but the asada is definitely our favorite. The al pastor is very and has chucks of pineapples. Let's take it from the start. It is an authentic Mexican taco truck. The seating was limited and the table where we sat was infested with ants. That was pretty rough. But, there were a TON of people there. We waited nearly an hour for our small order to arrive (4 burritos) so that wasn't fantastic either. But... the food was outstanding. It appears you can call in your order to avoid the long wait too!I didn't give it a 5 because of the ants and ridiculously long wait time. Most restaurants I would rate a 1 or 2 if I had this same experience but the food was outstanding. We will be back for sure! read more

Hidden gem in Brandon for tacos and quesadillas. The staff/ owners are very friendly. We love the chicken quesadillas extra crispy and the rice is top notch. The tacos are delicious too. Looking forward to trying a huarache next! It's a taco stand on the side of the road on Parsons ave, so don't pass it up. It's worth stopping for a meal. read more

I absolutely loved this place! It's a local mom and pop place and the food is absolutely delicious. the tortillas are made from scratch and they're hands down some of the best I've had. I told him I was a vegetarian and the owner was super accommodating and made me tacos with veggies inside. They also have a variety of drinks available which were great too. I would definitely give this place a shot if you're looking for some authentic mexican food. They're also extremely fairly priced too which is always a plus! read more

The food here is so delicious. All the food is FRESH. The the tortillas you can tell that they are definitely made from scratch and the edges are nice and crispy. This taqueria was delicious! As a family we tried the carnitas, camarones a la diabla, pollo, y bistec tacos. We purchased two plates that included rice and refried beans. We were impressed with the meats but not 100% with the rice and refried, it was a little bland for my taste. The people were super friendly. I rated a 4 because of the rice and refried beans. I plan on going back to try different items on the menu. read more

The staff checked on me while I was eating, genuinely wanting to make sure everything was right. It felt less like a restaurant and more like being in someone's kitchen -- that comforting "grandma making sure you're fed right" kind of energy. Warm, welcoming, and personal. I've traveled extensively in Mexico and lived in Florida for years trying to find a place that hits the mark for real Mexican flavor -- and this place absolutely delivers. I was wrong...it was better than I expected…read more I wasn't familiar with this restaurant, but I noticed it a few weeks ago while staying at the hotel next door. At the time, I chose another spot on the strip, but this time I decided to give them a chance. The place is average sized, nicely decorated, and the tables are well spaced out. Even though they were busy, everything was clean and well kept. You can tell the locals love this place. And now, so do I. I ordered the carne asada bowl with extra grilled onions and peppers, plus an extra serving of shrimp. Yup, I went all in, and I have zero regrets. The carne asada was juicy and tender, the rice perfectly cooked, and the grilled shrimp was delicious. This bowl was a winner, and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the Tampa area.
