Choripollo and tinga tacos on Tacos Corn Tortilla

Easily if of my new favorite spots the taco Tuesday deals are so good I got the choripillo, the tinga, and piccodillo were all so flavorful make sure you get the green sauce. The steak nachos were also delicious the service was fast we got our food and drinks quick and the ambience felt authentic like I was part of the family

Tacos, Carne Asada with corn tortillas Tried to get this angle so you can see how much meat is in these tacos.

Prices are awesome!! Service is phenomenal, they're always there to help! But most of all, they are THEEE BEST TACOS around the Tampa area so far, since being back home in Chicago. They are the same, they are nostalgic, they are so good! Unlike a certain "bus" that serves tacos, the amount of meat they give you is definitely generous and all good, no bones, sometimes a little fat of course. But not as much junk as they put in other places, like with only a 1/8 cup of meat. My family and friends love it all. The restaurant they have does not add up to the bus they have on 60. But I'm sure they will. Great hibiscus water and horchata. Go here! They also take phone ahead orders. Closed on Sunday

Soaking up some local flavor -- really excited.

Elotes-- amazing! Loved the tacos. Our Tinga was a bit dry to be honest. Otherwise, it was fantastic. Some of the protein portions were way too much compared to the toppings, but it's a weird thing to complain about too much protein. Would definitely come back.

The location and the staff were very friendly. Nice ambiance was nice as well! The lady that took my order was very welcoming and friendly! They had a variety of options as well as a well stocked dink cooler. I ordered the Carnitas burrito, I was super excited based if if they reviews and the line! The lady said it will be ready in 10 mins. I was like great food and fast, perfect! I figure the food here must be fire!!! Well that was NOT the case!! I was terribly disappointed, despite the friendly service my food took more than 20 mins. The best part of the burrito was the tortilla and the hot sauce... the carnitas was bland. It had NO flavor. It tasted like they boiled the pork with maybe one or two onions and a pice of garlic. 1/2 of my lettuce was wilted, there was no cheese in my burrito. There are so many Mexican Restaurants, food trucks, and pop ups in the Tampa area that put their heart and soul in to their food and you can taste it. You can taste the hard work the process. This was not the case with this meal.

The family and I just came from MyGym for a birthday party and we were hungry, so we stopped here before heading back home. The decor is so authentic, the people were so friendly, and they were bumping Tejano music like it was 1980! I felt like Selena Quintanilla was going to pop out on stage. I originally wanted tacos, but then I saw Menudo and Shrimp Tostadas on the menu! I was torn. I ended up getting Menudo because it was more unique and I could make tacos or tostadas any day. The Menudo was so tender and flavorful! It came with the herbs on the side for me to add to my liking. It was nostalgic because it made me think of the Mexican boy band. I felt old because I asked if my daughter knew Ricky Martin and she said no! Anyways we also got elotes (Tres Amigos) as a starter and it came with 3 full ears of corn. The queso and tajín combo I could have eaten by itself! We couldn't forget dessert, so we got Tres Leches and ChocoFlan to go. There's a display case if you can't make up your mind and need a visual.

Decided to try their fajitas on this round and WOW! They are so freaking huge!! I ate two fajitas n was full! It's literally the tacos but way bigger n comes with the rice, beans n a couple tubs of stuff to put on them. I will definitely order this next time. 1 dish is big enough for two people. Good size for couples of single parents. U could easily feed the fam for what you'd pay for 1 meal in a sit down restaurant.

    Torta

Winner winner Torta for dinner. I was driving by saw a little neon and a truck behind some lattice and a line of people. Had to stop, glad I did. Chips and salsa for a start and The Cuban Torta for dinner. DO NOT DRIVE BY--- STOP AND EAT!

I would eat here again, I enjoyed the shrimp taco and the green sauce that comes with it. I wasn't really a fan of the red sauce kinda cause it tasted like marinara sauce which I don't believe belongs on a taco but everyone has different taste buds. Also saw two cute kittens under the taco truck so they were cute, if anyone sees them give them a good home! (I have enough animals as it is)

Where did they go I drove by today and it's like they were never there?

They moved to the Lighthouse parking lot. They reopen on Monday the 24th. Then are closed on the 25th. Only to open again for their regular schedule on the 26th. Hope this helps. I found it on their Facebook page. :)

The murals bring me right back to summers spent with my family, full of color, warmth, and tradition. Even though my abuelos are no longer with me, there's something really special about this place that keeps those memories alive. We ordered zucchini tacos wanted to try squash blossom but not in season yet. We also ordered the steak chimichanga. My squash tacos were good but thought price was a bit high. The chimichanga was also good. We asked if they made the carrot cake and the waitress said she couldn't say, we were feeling adventurous and tried it anyway, it was great. They must bring it in from a bakery. Again thought 9$ for a piece of cake was a bit high. Overall food was good but our lunch was over 50$.

I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

We have been coming to Gran Agave since the opening day, and are usually in frequently. But lately every time we visit, Sonny is our server and makes us feel so uncomfortable that we don't want to come in as often as we used to. This evening he greeted us by saying that none of the other servers want to wait on my mom because she's such a pain. He thinks he's funny and teasing, but it's highly inappropriate to treat a customer this way. He always mispronounces fajitas in a way that sounds like "vaginas". He knows what he's doing with that. He also frequently invades personal space by sneaking up behind you and tapping or gently stroking your shoulder. These are just a few examples of the many unprofessional and inappropriate ways he has spoken with us and treated us. If it wasn't for my mom loving this place, I would have stopped coming the first time he served us and acted this way. I would have given him a piece of my mind that same day. Eating here lately leaves me tense and upset. I'm not sure we will be coming back any time soon, unless I hear things have changed. I truly hope you take this seriously and address it promptly.
