We had the Carne Asada Quesidilla. They were unlike any quesidilla I've ever had in comparison to DC- Northern VA area. They were huge! It was almost like a burrito. Great flavor, fresh, and satisfying. You order your food at a small window. They tell you when your food is up and you seat yourself at the taco stand. Plenty of tables for indoor/outdoor dining. I ordered an asada quesadilla and was surprised to find it came loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, and other toppings, with very little cheese. I've ordered quesadillas from many places and have never received one prepared this way, so I brought it back to the counter to clarify. I explained that I was expecting a traditional quesadilla with cheese and meat and that this wasn't what I wanted. The employee told me that's how they normally make them, which is fine if that's their standard, but it wasn't communicated when ordering. What disappointed me was the lack of effort to resolve the issue. Rather than offering to remake it or correct the order, I was asked if I wanted to purchase another one. I wasn't looking to buy a second meal--I simply wanted the item I originally expected. The service was very quick and friendly . The set up of the property is great with all the shad going around the building which is outside seating . The food was AWESOME. I ordered three asada tacos , and they were absolutely delicious . I also ordered an asada burrito as well . The burrito was pretty heavy in weight and very generously filled . It had been many years since we have been here. We used to get burritos but after a long work day we decided on shrimp cocktail and tacos with orchata. I enjoyed the Al pastor it had a real good flavor and the shrimp cocktail was loaded with big shrimp amd juice had Worcestershire sauce which gave it a kick and was different than your usual cocktail. Stopped by here after our first dinner choice had a waitlist of over an hour for Mexican food. This place has a cute small town island vibe, with all tables outdoors. Very casual. Prices were very decent. The carne asada super burrito was really good, wet, and full of flavor. The carne asada tacos were good but you can barely taste any cilantro or onion. The carne asada quesadilla was really yummy and I loved the bites that had plenty of melted cheese. (I didn't realize I ordered all carne asada!) I also had the tostada with octopus and shrimp and it was good but it was too fishy for me. I don't know if I would come back but it was good enough while I was there. read more

Ugh not really happy with my recent experience. So I've been coming 2 la costa since forever. I've been 2 all locations. Now I went today to pick up 2 super burritos 1 pastor & 1 chili verde and 2 tacos regular . Cost me $35.63 cuz I added cheese on the burritos. That's crazy prices. 1st off super should come with avocado n cheese like most taquerias n taco trucks. I had to buy an avocado n add. Tacos were small n had literally onion and a little tiny bit of cilantro on it. Meat had some chewy pieces . Chili verde was dry. Not sure if I'll be back to this location. They are the only la costa left in the 209 lthat does chili Verde. I just went to San Francisco I bought two super burritos that comes with avocado and cheese for $20. The food was mediocre, I've had better at the food trucks here in Manteca. Noticeably the service was the worst. The cashier had no experience working. I ordered nachos for my little girl and when I told them to hold the toppings so it's just cheese and nachos they said they can't do that. I went ok, and asked if they could just put it on the side. The worker then said they would charge $9 MORE to put it on the side. Incompetent worker, I then talked to them in Spanish and only then they were understanding and helping out. This is a walk-up taqueria off Main Street that is cash only. Hubbs had a burrito from here and said I have to try it. I probably would've liked it better if I hadn't stood in a long line in the sun with a mask when the car thermometer read 105°!!! Like the name implies the food is more coastal with a variety of seafood options. I asked the very nice kid at the register if they had enchiladas and was told they do not. Asked for recommendations and he let me know that their carne asada and shrimp were very popular. Said their carne asada was done differently so I got a carne asada and shrimp burrito. We were ordering for the family so we also got 2 carne asada burritos hold the sour cream and add cheese, carne asada super taco, carne asada taco and a carnitas taco. Got home and our order including changes were done correctly YAY! My burrito was big with large shrimp that were plentiful but were only on one half of my burrito, the carne asada was good but I didn't detect anything different about it. We asked for the tacos to be plain for the babes and they definitely had plenty of meat. Prices are cheap, $7 for a burrito and $2 for a street taco. Extra shrimp was only $1.50 but extra cheese was $1 per burrito. That seemed expensive compared to the costs of everything else. Can't complain only $1.50 for shrimp is a great deal and all our food came out to $35?!?! Definitely some cheap tasty bites. Both the hubbs and I could only eat half our burritos, warmed them up the next day and they were still tasty. This place is busy so the food is fresh. If I lived nearby I would definitely go more than I should. I would give the place 3.5 stars but since that's not an option I rounded up to 4 stars since our order was done correctly and the staff was helpful and nice. read more

We have been in a few times now and each time our food has been great. We call ahead so we don't have to wait once we get there. The food is always ready and everyone who works there is so nice. The parking lot is a little small. There are some outside tables, but it does get cold at night. The Camarones Empanizados are delicious. Their rice and beans have great flavor. We have also had a veggie burrito and a shrimp burrito. If you order the oysters, just know they are the very large one, not the one bite smaller ones. What the happened to this place? The food came out faster than Taco Bell and tastes worst than Del Taco. I have no words. This use to be my go to since High School. And today's meal sealed it's fate...I will go there no more. Ordered a Burrito, Torta, 2 Tacos, Quesadilla, and a Cerviche de Camaron. With a line of people...the order was done in 2 minutes....along with everyone else's. Ok fine fast food that's not made to order...but it was horrible. Pretty good tacos and insanely fast service. I came with a group of 6 to stop by for dinner and we all ordered something. I would say it only took around 3 minutes before our entire order was ready. I got a cabeza taco and carnitas taco. The cabeza was flavorful and I enjoyed the toppings as well. The carnitas weren't as well seasoned as I usually like, but was still good especially with some hot sauce. For the price at $3 each and no tax, I can't complain too much. First time here and I wish I would of took a picture of my Asada Torta. No lie it was so good and had so much flavor. It was a bit messy but nothing napkins can't fix. I went around 10am and there's was a few people waiting for their food but service was so fast and great. Literally ordered and took no more then 5 min to get my food. Also not sure if your supposed to ask for salsa when ordering but I didn't get salsa. I just went back and asked and they gave it to me with no problem. Order and pay at the rightmost window, pick up on the left. If there were signs, I didn't see them. I was down here before 10:30 and while they may not officially opened, they were most definitely open for business. I looked for a menu, and it was high above me. Well, not that high, but I'm short. :-D They didn't seem to have breakfast items, so I suspect that people know each other so well that there is no way an outsider would come to order breakfast--or something like that. In any case, I don't eat by rules. Carne asada tacos and Mountain Dew--check! They took a little while, but the service was efficient and they were friendly. Everyone seemed happy to be there, staff and customers alike. The tacos were great, although I like to have lettuce and tomatoes in the mix.
