Their agua fresca de pepino y limón was refreshing, their restrooms are clean, and you can even purchase other wares from their store. The one they gave me seemed like a salsa de chile de árbol -- spicy with good flavor, but I wished I had an extra salsa option that leaned more on the smoky or tangy side to balance out the richness of the gobernador. The place was quiet, comfortable, and relaxed -- no loud music or chaos, just a good spot to sit back and enjoy your food. Definitely worth a visit again. The restaurant was closed at the time as it was night time, but we were attracted by the bright lights of the food truck! We enjoyed the tacos and horchata and have been raving about it since. Knowing we'd be in the area once more on another sequoia trip, we knew we had to re-visit. Our Airbnb was located in Visalia and it looks like they have another location there as well, however, after calling, I confirmed that it isn't the exact same menu and it's owned by different brothers. Knowing this, I knew I had to go back to the exact location we went to last. This time around, I opted for 2 carne asada tacos and 2 Al pastor tacos. The tacos each come with raw finely chopped onion, pico de gallo and guacamole, with perfectly grilled onions and jalapeño on the side. The carne asada meat was perfectly cooked per usual and it had a delicious smoky flavor and the al pastor was just as delicious! Horchata - not too overpowering and perfectly sweetened. If I ever find myself in central cali, I'll be back in a heartbeat!
