Picture when we left. See the menudo is almost untouched and I have almost my entire plate left.
    Erin N.

Wife wanted to try this place, "everyone says it's so good" she said. Went over this afternoon, Saturday before Mother's Day. Service was fine- the two stars are for that. We were three adults, two children. We sat outside, they have three patio tables, kind of close together for my comfort but others may be fine. The children had chicken strips and fries, they were fine but it's hard screw up "fry & serve" type food. The adults shared: Camarones ajo Camarones diablo Tacos de birria Tacos de asada Menudo We also had several bottles of sodas & horchata. Nobody enjoyed the menudo, shrimp Diablo was 'alright', shrimp ajo had an obscene amount of garlic- the already minced from a jar kind. I literally could only taste the garlic. I love garlic, but I couldn't even finish my plate. Tortillas are homemade, probably, but bland af. Literally tasted like nothing, possibly because the garlic was so overwhelming. Tacos were bland, nothing flavorful. The dog actually got most of that dish. We probably will not return.

Best Chilaquiles!! I've ever had! if you are looking for friendly staff and Great food you have to try this place! Located on a four way stop. You'll get good size portions and they have little treats for sale at the counter as well.

found this gem while heading home from Sequoia & Kings Canton National park! the food was delicious and so flavorful. we ordered birria tacos and quesadilla and they each came with consume, it was exactly what we needed. super quick to get our food out and helpful with any questions we had! hope to stop by again in the future.

This place was pretty good. Decent food, decent price. Nice that it was on our way to see Sequoias! It was also fairly busy when we stopped. We had a little trouble ordering as the young man at the register wasn't as familiar with the menu posted outside.

We had a work meeting in central valley and since there aren't many restaurants around we decided to try Los Arbalitos and I'm glad we did. I had their shrimp taco and grilled chicken quesadilla. The shrimp taco was outstanding! The shrimp was super fresh and such a good combo with the other ingredients. Same goes with the quesadilla, perfectly cooked meat and just good food. I'm usually not big on Mexican food but I would definitely go back to this restaurant. I would also like to bring out that the service we received was beyond great, helpful and genuine.

Not a fan of the ambiance--loud music. Food was not great, just basic. Service was okay but took a bit of time to get our food.

I eat a lot of taco trucks and Mexican food. Their burritos are small and over priced.

Coming back now, I wanted to see if it still lived up to the five stars I gave it back then, not out of nostalgia, but out of curiosity. The menu has grown into a wide spread: sandwiches, salads, burgers, chicken fried steak, even pasta. It's the kind of menu that makes you realize this place is built to feed everyone, no matter what they're in the mood for. I started with something simple, a water on a hot summer day, and it arrived with a lemon wedge. It's a small touch, but one I haven't seen in a while. The kind of detail that tells you someone still cares about the basics. It was lunchtime, so I waited a bit to be seated, but that's just part of dining in a small town. The waitress was kind, patient, and attentive in a way that stood out. Before I could even ask, she refilled my water multiple times, noticing the half‑empty glass and taking care of it without hesitation. That kind of service goes a long way. I ordered the jalapeño burger, and it came out faster than expected. The fries were lightly salted steak fries, my favorite, and cooked just right. The burger itself was a mixed experience. The bun was grilled, which gave it good flavor, but it also made it collapse into a thin, flat shape the moment I picked it up. And while I ordered a jalapeño burger expecting heat, the jalapeños were thick, grilled slices from a large pepper. Every bite was dominated by jalapeño, to the point where the burger itself got lost in the background. I love spicy food, but the balance was off, more jalapeño than burger. Still, the service was warm, the goodbye on the way out was genuine, and the menu has enough variety that I'd come back to try something different. I'm not handing out five stars this time, but I'm also not writing this place off. Pete's Place is part of Exeter's rhythm, and revisiting it felt like checking in with an old spot that still has plenty to offer, just maybe not that jalapeño burger again.

On top of that, his own burrito was missing three ingredients that he specifically requested. When he politely tried to address the issues, the owner of this location was very disrespectful. Several customers who witnessed the interaction even commented that the owner should not have handled the situation that way. Instead of trying to resolve the problem or simply remaking the burritos, they refused to serve him, even though we had already paid $51 for two burritos and two drinks. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values its customers and is willing to make things right when there is a problem. By far one of the worse restaurants I have been too.

I was told I could not order food, which was confusing considering they close at 10 PM. If employees want to stop serving that early, maybe update the closing hours to 9:30 instead. The speaker system is outdated and so staticky you can barely hear anything being said. The employee taking orders was rude from the start and acted irritated when I had to ask multiple times what she said because she was mumbling. I ordered a Reese's cyclone and was handed an Oreo cyclone instead. When I politely explained it was the wrong order, I was basically told I would have to take it regardless of it not being what I ordered. When I pushed back, things got unnecessarily escalated instead of being handled with simple customer service. Bringing over two other employees while remaking my cyclone made the situation even more uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. After all the drama and attitude over such a simple mistake, I honestly didn't even feel comfortable eating it and ended up throwing it away because I wasn't sure if it had been tampered with. If you don't like your job, maybe you shouldn't work there, or at least take some customer service training. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way. Save yourself the trouble and drive a few extra miles to Exeter for Frosty King or Burger Express. Much friendlier employees and far better service.
