The setup in the parking lot of a Citgo station more than a few months ago. The truck has the same colorful yellow exterior as the other two, with the number 3 on the front. The lunch hours are from 11 - 2, not sure if there are dinner hours, as well. Same fare as the other 2, street tacos, sopes, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and gorditas, and the same meats are available - carne asada, pollo, pastor, chorizo, lengua, tripe, carnitas, barbacoa, and pig skin stew. The tacos are $1, and a pretty good taco it is, especially for that price, though I didn't find them as tasty as the ones I've had at the W. Gate City Blvd location - and no radishes here either. Only got the red pepper sauce here, and it is good, and quite hot. Still, this is solid, cheap food on the run. The folks working this truck are no more friendly or engaging than the other one, but I came here for the food any way.

However, I was going to my car mechanic and remembered passing the cutest storefront before. Since I was headed that way again, I decided to stop in at Taquería La Oaxaqueña #2 (pronounced La Wa-ka-que-nya) The menu is beautifully displayed outside and inside the building, and my menu modification questions were also answered quickly. The service was quick and professional. The waitress spoke perfect English and was very accommodating. Since I didn't know it was mostly a meat-based menu and they currently only serve fish as a chef's special, they put together a giant, DELICIOUS vegetarian burrito for me. They wrapped it in two separate portions (one portion pictured here because I was so hungry I ate the first half). The cook told me the beans were cooked with lard if that was a problem for me as a vegetarian. They even considered some of my tips for adding vegetarian options since I told them about the new trends with "foodies" and health-conscious people looking for options like fish or leaner cuts of meats. The cook said she is open to changing dishes if she has it in-house or gets enough requests (like more vegetarian dishes or beans with no lard), etc. The establishment is immaculate, and there is a lovely group of seating for dine-in customers to sit and enjoy an excellent authentic Mexican meal made by cooks who are from Mexico and know how to create DELICIOUS Mexican flavor in every bite. My burrito was fresh, the rice was flavorful, the pico was bursting with cilantro, and the avocado made everything come together just right. They made it like it was in their home kitchen. I felt like family! Although there are many things I don't personally eat on their menu because I haven't been a meat-eater since 2017, I would recommend this spot to ANYONE jonesing for a taste of Mexico.
