Went for takeout on Friday night with my wife picking up for us. My wife chose the enchilada dinner while I went with my usual street tacos, tongue and cheek meats were my proteins I also had a pork tamale. We both had beens and rice as our sides. When my wife got home I was pleased that the food was still hot to the touch, nice job on preparing the order for transport. Now the tacos are a real bargain at 1.50 which is a little bit cheaper than a couple of the other places I've been to. They are pretty typical meat onions and cilantro on 2 tortillas you can garnish with radish slices if you want, I wish that pickled carrots were included but sadly not. The red and green hot sauces are nice the red is the hottest of the two I went Christmas style on my tacos. The pork tamale was also pretty typical nothing fancy but tasty and not too hot, the beens and rice again nothing fancy but good and filling. So to be honest this was a good dinner for on the go I would oder again if we are in the area but there are a lot of options so we'll see. read more

I had a very big taco order and called it in an hour beforehand. It was ready when requested and everything was packed and separated as I asked. The carnitas and chicken tacos were really good, the steak was ok. The rice and beans were standard but good as well. read more

Tuesday Tamale Tour stop 2! (Visited 8/31.] Tried a pork tamale and a corn tamale. 2.85/ea As per the rules (made up by yours truly,) one tamale was pork. One can be anything. In order to compare fairly, only the pork tamales are rated. Pork Tamale 3.6/4 Appearance 3/4- Looked like a tamale! Average size, nicely wrapped in corn husk. Masa- 4/4. Delicious! Moist and flavorful. Filling 4/4- Pork was nicely shedded and moist. No big chunks of fat. Good flavor. Well spiced but not spicy. Corn Tamale- this was good!! I'd never had anything quite like it before. No real filling, rather kernels of corn spread throughout the masa. It was very sweet, but I think the sweetness was from the sweet, fresh corn. read more

Stopped in here after my son was discharged from Providence. It was takeout only because of covid-19. We got an adada and a pollo burrito, mine was the asada. It was very good and a great value. The rice was exactly the correct consistency for the burrito and not too dry. The red salsa was deliciously piquant. Service was friendly and efficient. Gross disgusting and inedible are first words that describe this place. The lady taking orders and delivering food was absolutely lost she kept bring out the wrong food to everyone. The tacos were just tortillas, meat and onions no cilantro no limes no grilled onion or grilled jalapeños. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla that was so greasy that it was inedible (see pictures). I love taqueria food and this place is a huge miss. I just hope it doesn't make me sick. On the plus side they had real nice napkins The owner here had contacted me saying I don't know what I'm talking about. Good food overall, best tamales I've ever had from a restaurant, don't tell my grandma but they rival her tamales.

I've driven by several times, and finally decided to stop and try. I noticed the prices had changed slightly from the picture of the menu posted here, so I wanted to add an updated photo. I had a tamale (chicken is the only choice) and taquitos. Both were fine. You get 5 taquitos in the order, and come with a bit of sour cream and avocado across the tops. I think the tacos are the main feature here, however, I was in the mood for something else. Authentic Mexican food, although I would say I like Taqueria el Rincon better. read more

Their tacos are awesome. 1) Their tacos aren't just tortilla and meat. They absolutely come with limes, radishes, onions, cilantro, and 2 types of hot sauce. Look at the other picture someone has posted vs. his picture. (and, the tacos are AWESOME. Especially the carnitas, which they do not have at Dos Reales) 2) They have crappy, cheap napkins at this Taqueria. (Seriously, I order here twice a week, I could pick them out of a line up. Loma Bonita has delicious and inexpensive tacos...my personal favorite are carnitas. The homemade salsa are great. The rojo is super spicy and the verde is a little spicy and my personal choice. So good! I am not sure why a couple reviews say they don't get radishes and limes etc. We've always gotten them on our tacos. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered a Carnitas Torta and a chicken taco. They both exceeded my expectations. The tacos are street tacos. The lady at the register said all their stuff is served "taco truck" style. The torta was huge and only $4! It didn't have onions or sour cream like most tortas do (from my vast torta experience, that is!), but it was still good! My wife ordered cheese enchiladas and a chicken gordita. The enchiladas weren't very good...rather disappointing! The picture on the menu of the gordita is quite deceiving. Its served much more like a sandwich and the bread is some insanely thick bread that I haven't had before. It was good but chewing it was a chore! They have salsa to use in the fridge inside ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles. The ketchup bottle is some totally flavorless "salsa" that really just includes a slight kick. The mustard bottle has salsa verde..nothing special. As with most hole-in-the-wall mexican places, they only have bottled/canned drinks. Sadly they didn't have ice or anything but tap water but we survived with no drinks. I was definitely satisfied because I LOVE tortay, they offered carnitas (among many other meat options) and it was only $4 for that huge sandwich! read more

My absolute favorite asada tacos and pork tamale. Tacos are fresh and meat flavor marinade and juiciness is unbelievable. Mmmm lime & radish & sautéed onion & jalapeño pepper. I have been here quite a few times since my last review. And I can say they have consistently good food and service that is worth stopping in for every time. They are like a gem hiding in plain site :) Come here if you want a really good taco at a really good price. The adobada taco is my favourite! They have other options on the menu of course and a wide variety of bottled drinks. They have delicious churros to choose from if you are craving something sweet and a bit indulgent. The worst carne asada I've ever seen in my life! Burnt chopped beef is not carne asada! And whoever thought burritos should be filled with cabbage and open faced is just plain wrong. This shouldn't be allowed to be called Mexican food and definitely isn't primo. This place is so terrible I took one bite of my excuse for a burrito and took it back. The "cook" gave me so much attitude for being upset about my inedible meal that I had to walk out before I lost my temper. read more

Tried this place three times. First time I got a burrito. It was bland and filled with rice.. where's the meat? Second time I got tacos and I saw them warming something in the microwave, fine, I know a lot places do, but in styrofoam?! No. Third time, I ordered a supreme quesadilla with adobada. Took it home and started eating it. Pretty flavorful, but then oh wait... that's not meat... that's a wad of paper towel or something!!? Ugh. So done with this place. I'm originally from San Antonio and Barbacoa is a staple. Barbacoa in San Antonio is the meat from the head of the cow and it's slow cooked to perfection it's also primarily eaten for breakfast with eggs and beans. Well in this restaurant barbacoa is lamb meat so the nice lady explained they call it carne de cabeza. Well after trying a taco of the cabeza it was pretty darn good. 3 stars because the salsas are good and fresh and are kept refrigerated. The flavour on the food, meet, chicken, tongue etc. Is not bad plus the servings are generous. We went there for dinner tonight me my wife and my 2 kids. My wife told me that THE RICE WAS RAW and there was a small hair inside the burrito I. Saw the hair but wasn't sure if it was human or from an animal but it was curly and white. Then she showed me smushed raw rice and realized that it was indeed raw. Then I took a bite of my daughter's burrito and at that point I did confirmed the RICE was RAW :( I told the owner lady and she did not seem like she was concerned at all, she told me OK Thank You!! My husband born and raised Californian approves this place! He is picky about his Carna Asada and his chips and he loved both here. Our boys eat everything. I faux with the SPICY PORK GORDITA's when I come there. They are $3 something and let me tell you the corn is fried RIGHT, the greens are dark+slithered and the QUESO is FRESCO.
