    Tacos

I been going here for years and it has gotten even better then I could have imagined. Prices are great. Services is fast. It's literally like a taco truck but a restaurant which is the best part. My favorite is the tacos, they are hot and fresh.

2 tacos missing the cilantro and limes just meat and onions and a whole lot of blah!

Gross disgusting and inedible are first words that describe this place. The lady taking orders and delivering food was absolutely lost she kept bring out the wrong food to everyone. The tacos were just tortillas, meat and onions no cilantro no limes no grilled onion or grilled jalapeños. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla that was so greasy that it was inedible (see pictures). I love taqueria food and this place is a huge miss. I just hope it doesn't make me sick. On the plus side they had real nice napkins The owner here had contacted me saying I don't know what I'm talking about. The proof is in the pictures that I uploaded Mr. owner Edit: After many trips to the bathroom last night I learned they also don't practice safe food handling methods. La comida me hizo mal :( To Mona M: No I'm not mistaken on where I'm reviewing This place is the converted old gas station. And yes I have also been to Dos Reales you can also read my review on that. The pictures I added are from here that is why I gave it 1 star if it looked like the others maybe it would have gotten a better ratting from me.

I've driven by several times, and finally decided to stop and try. I noticed the prices had changed slightly from the picture of the menu posted here, so I wanted to add an updated photo. I had a tamale (chicken is the only choice) and taquitos. Both were fine. You get 5 taquitos in the order, and come with a bit of sour cream and avocado across the tops. I think the tacos are the main feature here, however, I was in the mood for something else. Authentic Mexican food, although I would say I like Taqueria el Rincon better.

Their tacos are awesome. 1) Their tacos aren't just tortilla and meat. They absolutely come with limes, radishes, onions, cilantro, and 2 types of hot sauce. Look at the other picture someone has posted vs. his picture. (and, the tacos are AWESOME. Especially the carnitas, which they do not have at Dos Reales) 2) They have crappy, cheap napkins at this Taqueria. (Seriously, I order here twice a week, I could pick them out of a line up. LOL) 3) When he says the owner contacted him and was defensive -- Read my review on Dos Reales-- sounds like the same guy. 4) This isn't a sit down establishment with waitresses taking orders and delivering them wrong. It's more of a to-go place. Sounds like the 1 star reviewer is reviewing the wrong place.

Carnitas Tacos complete with radishes, cilantro, and lime.

Loma Bonita has delicious and inexpensive tacos...my personal favorite are carnitas. The homemade salsa are great. The rojo is super spicy and the verde is a little spicy and my personal choice. So good! I am not sure why a couple reviews say they don't get radishes and limes etc. We've always gotten them on our tacos. We eat here at least once a month and have never been disappointed.

    Carnitas Torta and Chicken Taco

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered a Carnitas Torta and a chicken taco. They both exceeded my expectations. The tacos are street tacos. The lady at the register said all their stuff is served "taco truck" style. The torta was huge and only $4! It didn't have onions or sour cream like most tortas do (from my vast torta experience, that is!), but it was still good! My wife ordered cheese enchiladas and a chicken gordita. The enchiladas weren't very good...rather disappointing! The picture on the menu of the gordita is quite deceiving. Its served much more like a sandwich and the bread is some insanely thick bread that I haven't had before. It was good but chewing it was a chore! They have salsa to use in the fridge inside ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles. The ketchup bottle is some totally flavorless "salsa" that really just includes a slight kick. The mustard bottle has salsa verde..nothing special. As with most hole-in-the-wall mexican places, they only have bottled/canned drinks. Sadly they didn't have ice or anything but tap water but we survived with no drinks. I was definitely satisfied because I LOVE tortay, they offered carnitas (among many other meat options) and it was only $4 for that huge sandwich!

I have been eating here since they opened. Tacos are the best in the area. The menu has gotten bigger in the years it has opened and everything is great. Really love taking people to try it out. They all love it as well.

I have spent much of the day on the toilet. My butt is literally bleeding. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant.

Burrito Ranchero with added jalapenos, verde sauce, hot sauce and extra cheese. Always good, always satisfying!

Good food overall, best tamales I've ever had from a restaurant, don't tell my grandma but they rival her tamales.

In long I definitely miss the awesome Thai place that used to be here, but Luna offsets that nostalgia. They're doing a great job. There's a cool courtyard, with iron fencing and gating that seems to suit the Mexican decor even better than it did the previous tenant. There's a good-sized winding dining room indoors too. Brightly-colored paint, nice matching tables and chairs, some big screens probably tuned to the game. Service is right on point, cheerful and low-key, ready to make you feel right at home. You get a menu right away, water with chips and salsa in a minute or two. The drink menu isn't the main focus, but you get basic versions of most anything. I had a Luna Margarita with lots of fresh fruit in there--even had to clear the straw at one point. The chips and salsa are generic. Just pico and tomato sauce stirred up. Would be nice to see them make something in house, but not too many places do that (fewer than you might think). The carne seems to be the star of the show, and it was tasty. Ordered medium and came out closer to well, but still fully tender and juicy. Tortillas were fine, the roast corn and scallions were good, and the rice and beans held up their end of the bargain. Little bit of guac and fresca in the middle of the plate. They're working hard for your Mexican food dollar, and if you're anywhere nearby, they're easily worth a stop.

Me and my girl friend's husband ordered the Mar Y Tierra, thinly cut steak with garlic shrimp and mushrooms on the slide with rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and choice of corn or flour tortillas! The steak was my favorite -- so juicy, tender and flavorful! They have a great variety of drinks! I got the watermelon basil margarita. They also have Jarritos soda which, my girl friend tried the guava and it was good! You have to get here before peak or you may not get a parking spot. They do have parking at the back but I bet if it's a peak night, it'll be crowded. We will definitely be back next time!
