I'm leaving this review from Kingston Hospital, live from the ER. I thought i was simply getting a takeout dinner but I got a huge helping of food poisoning instead. I won't disgust you with all the deets, but I'll use the phrase "Double Trouble" and let your imagination fill in the blanks. It was my first visit to this nearly new place. After i noticed that the floor is filthy and the tables are dirty, I should have canceled my order. I saw other patrons coming in and out so I gave them a try. The employees don't wear gloves and the cashier touches the food to wrap it up. Ewwww... money is the greatest carrier of bacteria and germs. I didn't see anyone sanitize the eating area either. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth a trip to the hospital! read more

Amazing authentic Mexican in Kingston. Yelp led me here, and it was so fresh that we talked about coming back as we were scarfing down our tacos! I didn't expect anything extraordinary and I must admit that the first couple of bites of a taco seem to be ok until I saw the pubic hair in the taco, it's the most disgusting experience you can have. I had this place recently recommended to me by some local friends and I'm so thankful. This is REAL Mexican food. Food is cooked to order and is fresh. I have so many new dishes to try. So far, it's all been amazing, so flavorful and -- best of all -- affordable. Don't bring a large party with you. Seating is sparse. But take-out is encouraged. Every time I've stopped in to pick up my food, there have been local Spanish workers having their lunch/dinner. A very good sign. This is where we go almost every week for our takeout. Kingston has only a handful truly decent places to eat and we chose to support this place with their kind people and truly good food. I only wish they made posole more often. Having lived in the Mexican food epicenters of Oakland, CA for years and very near The Mexican heavy adjacent to Washington D.C. town of Hyattsville among others, I can say this does match up. Really authentic little place. We stopped in for take out and we were so pleasantly surprised. We got the caldo de pollo - chicken soup. GLASS IN FOOD! I've eaten lunch here several times and it was decent. However I've gotten food to take out and several times it was crunchy. I thought this was some kind of spice but today I discovered GLASS in the food. Just horrible. I would have given it a few stars until today when I chewed down on the glass, removed it from my mouth and it was a sharp piece that could have done a lot of damage to my insides. The real thing. No booze, not fancy, but great Mexican food. Some Mexican friends took us and we had different kinds of tacos ($2.50 each) and a delicious chicken tamale. My friends drank horchata, which is an easily acquired taste. Don't expect chips and salsa, and the house hot sauce is tasty but not very spicy. Absolutely fantastic, fully Mexican restaurant with excellent tacos---large ones. I liked the Taco Chorizo and the Taco Enchilada (spicy pork inside). My wife was very happy with the Taco Pollo.
