Ordered a super burrito de asada. Tastes great. I usually stay away from chips but this burrito got me in the mood for some while I eat it. The lady behind the counter is nice. I am giving this place 5 stars because the Al Pastor tacos here are amazing! i never order anything else, although i have tried the chicken mole taco and it was very good too. But the Al Pastor is just too good to stray away from. Salsa is also delicious, but the chips aren't anything to really talk about. im really disappointed honestly. i ordered a super burrito with no salsa and no cheese. at first i was thrown off because there was lettuce in it which wasnt on the menu but that was fine. i got farther into it and there was a ton of salsa. i went inside to ask them to either take it out or make me a new one and the girl gave me an unbelievable amount of attitude and refused. very poor customer service. i wouldnt recommend this place. read more

Really good food! And the lady who works the counter is really nice. Only downside, last couple times I went the got my order wrong - asked for a side of rice and beans, just got rice. Ordered a torta asked that they add cilantro, no cilantro. Asked for regular beans not refried and got refried beans. But still the food is good enough and well priced to keep going! read more

Service is pretty quick, food....not bad. I'm not a burrito person so I always order plates of food or tacos and so far everything I've eaten is fine. The people that work there are nice, place has been remodeled, and they also offer outdoor seating which is nice. The only complaint I have are the prices.....too high! I live in Watsonville and tacos for example range from $1 to $1.50 compared to Tepeque @ $2.50 a taco!!!!!! read more

I used to go to Tacos Moreno as my go-to burrito, but after a friend took me to Tepeque for a chimichanga, my life was changed for the better. The alpastor and pollo asado are better, especially if Francisco is cooking it up. I LOVE the nopales breakfast burrito like hipster loves kombucha..."Its sooooo good for you!" Has a wide menu. We love the burritos and refried beans. Their refried beans or enteros ( whole beans) don't use lard, aren't too salty. You get a choice of regular, whole wheat, spinach or tomato tortillas. I also like their salsa fresca. It's an informal place to eat or get takeout with tasty food. read more

Anywhere else has better burritos. As a taqueria, your burritos should be the first thing you want to perfect, and none are made right. So many better choices than this place, plus they over price everything, and the family workers aren't that nice either. Me and my mom stopped by this place on our way to the beach. We ordered some tacos and tamales. My mom was getting impatient with the wait time because we had our dog tied up outside. My mom started asking what was the hold up since there were only 2 customers inside. One of the female "cooks" started talking back to my mom in spanish and had no customer service skills watsover. We waited like 30 minutes for our food and had horrible customer service. The tamales I ordered were obviously from a frozen bag which was not was I was expecting. The tacos and the rice and beans were ok but I will not be going back to this place again. Staff was unprofessional and rude. read more

Had a $4.00 shrimp taco, they use small bay shrimp(probably canned). Had a stomachache for rest of day.

I ordered a regular burrito with lengua to go and paid $8.43 for it. I didn't know there was a one dollar up charge for lengua until after I was charged. Then, once I left and I took a few bites I realized they put goat in it, not the lengua I was charged more for! The burritos are also quite small. Pretty lame.
