Collecting trading cards at this location isn't necessarily bad, but there are certain people that tend to ruin the fun for everyone. One dude named Angel, you may or may not know him, he is ALWAYS first or ONE of the first 5 people waiting in line. This dude always gets cards even if he's purchased the set already. The downside on this target location is that it's limit 2 per SKU, so this dude get multiple of EVERYTHING and he's known to be reselling as well from what I've heard. Today 05/08/26, there was an issue between 2 gentleman waiting in line about spot saving, because Angel left his chair in line and was apparently gone for hours only to show up 30 minutes before the store opened. Then what appears to be a friend or family member of Angels, shows up 15 minutes before opening. Then one gentleman, I don't know what the name is, but he's big, waddled his way into line and sat down on the ghost chair that he apparently left in line the night before, he always seems to be one of the first 5 people as well. I don't know what the name of the guy was that was defending Angel but this dude reeked of weed, looked like a bum wearing a black hoodie, facial hair indeed looking all bummish, and was also saving a spot in line for his wife that showed up like 20minutes after the store opened. It's crazy that chairs for whatever reason it be, can "save your place" in line without you even having to be physically there because as a collector myself I'd be pretty mad too that the first 5 people in are buying multiple of everything while everyone else there is trying to get something as well, especially after waiting HOURS and you can't really get anything because ANGEL and his buddies are spot saving and not PHYSICALLY present in line. This store needs to ban Angel from shopping at this location and they need to change to limit down to 1 per customer because limit 2 per customer especially when it comes to Pokemon cards is wild. It's a kids card game, and we got grown folk arguing which in this case is valid, IF YOU ARE NOT WAITING IN LINE LIKE THE REST OF THE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD NOT BE FIRST IN LINE AT ALL. read more

4/25/26 I have mixed emotions about Target, overall. Service is fair, some associates are helpful (Yvette at Returns is a trooper--YOU ROCK!) some not so much. I suppose it depends on the individual staff & their willing go above & beyond. Firstly, I went it for Charmin Ultra Strong because Costco does not carry it (as far as I know) and mains lighter (longer stick?) I always do price check/comparison with Amazon since Prime does free delivery. In hindsight, I should've gone with Prime. I saw the promo, but 3 mix/match & get $10 Target gift card. The sticker clearly states "laundry additives" worth $8.99 & up. So I bought 2- 8 roll packages of Charmin & and Oxiclean ("add to detergent). When I paid, the cashier said it is not a qualifying item. I was directed by this cashier who couldn't afford a smile to go to Returns to dispute it. Another 20 minutes ensued. This whole experience was a lesson in patience that I not need at the end of a long day. Yvette at Returns explained that if I had the App, it would have registered that the Oxiclean is actually worth $8.49. She was patient & resolved the issue-- applied the $10 off instead of giving it as a gift card. If it were not for her, I would have given this review either a 1 or 2 star. Darlene working the cash register was absolutely rude and not helpful at all. My daughter came to use her gift cards she had received as a gift. She was excited and nervous as it was her first time. Darlene was not only uninterested in helping. She was irritated my daughter handed her gift cards not opened and not scratched. She refused to take them and was completely bothered she had to wait for the cards to be opened and scratched. We have never had a cashier refuse to help, she handed us a penny and just kept repeating just keep scratching. Needless to say, the gift card was illegible and couldn't be used. Darlene was not only indifferent she simply replied now you have to call because I can't read it. I asked for her to call a manager to help and he made more of an attempt to help them she did. I'm constantly reminded why we avoid this target. Management needs to speak with Darlene about her customer service, basic humanity, she was a child who was excited and you couldn't even be kind. read more

This store has been at this location for around 40 years and it's still super popular to this day. I usually find all the things I am looking for and then some. The prices are always reasonable and competitive to other mega stores. They were supposed to remove the self check out stations since there has been an increase in theft, but they are still there. read more

Let me get one thing straight: I LOVE TARGET! It's my absolute favorite store where I can wander the aisles for hours! The cleanliness at Target is just unmatched with other stores. So it really hurts me to write this review: My fiancé and I recently bought a "GoPro" like camera (can't remember the name for the life of me!) and it didn't fit our needs and we saw online the Target website they had the Pro version, perfect! Let's go grab this after work on a Thursday evening after work (12/11/25) After we arrived we went to customer service to ask what the process was when it came to exchanging a product for a higher priced one. This girl seemed annoyed that my fiancé asked this question and told him they don't process tech returns here and that he needed to go to the tech department. Fine no big deal, seems like it makes sense. We go back and it's pretty busy here at Target - everyone shopping for the holidays (makes me giddy!) and then after waiting in a long here (only 1 person was working the register) and when it was finally our turn and he explained the situation, the guy told us we needed to go back to the customer service to work on the return and exchange! Ah so much back and forth! We went back explained the situation and the girl started the process and was giving my fiancé such a rude interaction. he noticed that there was a price error and asked her why was the price showing incorrectly? (Online the price showed a discounted version) and she said she can't see the price on her side (???) Fine - we don't want to rock the boat, we waited and got priced out and paid and noticed our we were charged much more than listed price! She didn't try to hear us out when we asked about it initially and now we have to get this fixed. We went back to her and she said we had to go back and stand in line once more (we were already feeling anxious going back up to ask her about this since there was a line) and we went back in line. Once we made it to the front another girl helped us and she started telling us we can't make any refunds since we used a Target gift card. Uhm - HELLO??? Target Gift card is their equivalent to cash! Not sure why they're not treating it like so? We had to push this back because we were not going to pay more for something when we could've bought it online for much cheaper. She finally fixed the problem and we got it resolved but not sure what is going on with the customer service people at Target. It's the holiday season, totally understandable - you're working long hours with people of all attitudes all day, I totally get it! But we were so patient and tried to be understanding but can't you at least make the effort rather than just saying something can't be done when clearly it can when they tried? Maybe it's those seasonal hires and they weren't trained properly or maybe they're having a bad day but trying to make it sound like we're trying to inconvenience you when it's your job at customer service to help? My friend and I arrived at this Target location at 8:00 AM and waited in the virtual line alongside other Pokémon card collectors in an orderly and respectful manner. The process went smoothly--until checkout. That's when we witnessed a cashier named Leo allow his friend to cut the line and make a purchase ahead of everyone who had been patiently waiting. This policy disobeying customer bought way more than the allowed amount of product (almost 5 full bags of Pokemon tcg product). We immediately reported the incident to both a manager and another employee, but unfortunately, no action was taken to address the line cutting, disobey product limit policy, or hold the cashier accountable. This behavior clearly goes against Target's policies and reflects unfair treatment toward loyal customers. A formal complaint has been filed through Target's customer service line at 1-800-440-0680, and we've been informed that the corporate management team is currently investigating. We sincerely hope that Target addresses this issue seriously and takes the necessary steps to uphold fairness and integrity for all customers. read more

The employees here are so rude (so are most of the shoppers who push by you without an excuse me) and incredibly unhelpful. I was purchasing an item that was half off, but it didn't ring up that way and self check out. I called over the associate who then asked me to prove it to her with a picture like I was supposed to know that it wasn't going to ring up correctly and take a photo of the sales sticker... She then proceeds to look at the item online and price match it to the wrong price again and then walk away... When I corrected her, she said that's what it is online and wouldn't change it to the marked price in the store. I didn't have time to go back and get the sales sign because my toddler was about to throw a fit and I had to leave, but it was pretty annoyed that she wasn't willing to help me and mark the correct price. She was also pretty rude about it. I am so done with this location. They also lock everything up so you have to run around and find an employee and nobody knows who has the key to anything. I stopped buying anything that's locked here and I'll purchase it elsewhere. I'm also not going to return to this location. The dollar deals aisle is a trap! and its always right by the entrance! Target is hands down my favorite convenience grocery store that is always open late. It is clean, organized, well lit. The best part is Drive Up. What a wondrous addition to their services and a relief during the pandemic years. I've always loved Target bec they have competitive, Walmart-like prices but with quality items: well-curated goods like Costco without the need to bulk-buy. Pound for pound (oz for oz?) the cost is the same. And does anyone remember Target designer collabs? I've gotten Jason Wu, Rodarte, and Alexander McQueen pieces I would never have been able to afford on regular days (I'm just really frugal like that). The team members (staff) are very polite, and helpful. Not just in this Target, but other Targets they have people who have given me items for 0.99 when they didnt have price tags or couldn't find them in the SKU. Sometimes you don't see team members, but you could also just help yourself. This has a big lot, some people park here and walk to Costco nearby. Lots of disabled parking. There are 20 (20+?) bays for DriveUp. I've always considered Target as my shopping Disneyland, and even with this branch in the super busy Alhambra area, I don't think that fact will change. read more

4 days ago @ 9:08PM The cashier Andres charged me for 2 pillows when I only had 1, then continued to tell me I had to wait in an extremely long customer service line in order to get a refund. I understand that they cannot process refunds at that register but when we asked multiple times for a manager, he kept stalling. When he finally flickered his aisle light, another cashier next to him (not a manager) Yvette responded asking what we needed. All he said was "we can't process refunds here right?" And she said "no they have to go to customer service" in a very dismissive way. Then Andres just said "See? You have to go over there. The line goes pretty fast." while also continuing to not call for a manager like we requested over 5 times. Finally I walked over directly to the customer service desk where I spoke to a manager (Maggie, I think) and she helped me instantly. Thank you for that Those two cashiers have literally no sense of customer service. I understand that there are lines, but I (the customer) should not have to suffer because of the mistake of an employee. Will not recommend this Alhambra store if they don't improve their phone service. 1st time use the In Store pickup feature of the app. It didn't ask me the pickup time. Since my order contains perishable, I tried to call the Alhambra Store to let them know my desired time. Called the pickup counter (selection 2) and operator (selection 9) each 3 times. Also on their web in app it says this target closes at 12, and they actually close at 11pm. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! NEVER AGAIN DOING THE DRIVE UP. I don't understand what the 2 hr wait is for !!!!!!! Like cmon, it seriously takes someone at target 2 hours to gather up 4 items ? RIDICULOUS! HORRIBLE AND UPSETTING. Should probably change that too. Value for the toys were extremely fair and cheap, and on top of that they had a 30% sales going on so we were able to snag some toys along the way for my niece's 5th birthday. Additionally we also got a bag of candies from the halloween section. They had a bunch of different assortments, but we had to get the Haribo gummies since those are our favorites. What surprised me the most is that the self checkout area of this store was way bigger than the other targets I had been to, and despite the line being long, it was going by really fast. On the other hand, customer service was what I was expected, nothing was lower or over my expectation. If you have to do a drive up avoid this location at all costs. I go to different targets around the area for drive up and this is the worst one and the only one is incapable of doing it. Would I recommend this specific location? Probably not. I came in earlier trying to get something specific for a project I was working on with my kid for school. I tried to get help, but the person working here was not helpful at all. I ended up having to do it on my own. As for their small food selection, I went into the bread section, and noticed on the bottom right that there was a pack that was a few weeks overdue. Went earlier in the week to pay my statement. A non-english speaker was trying to return something and the employee was rudely and blatantly ignoring him. I eventually translated for him. The employee stated his return had to be made at the Rosemead location since that's where he bought it from and its formula. When he left I inquired whether this location had Chinese speaker employees and she said no. She further vented that she already explained to the customer thru his phone app that translates for him. I found it very unsettling witnessing her treatment towards him. She was very extremely dismissive. This location is in a heavily populated Chinese community.
