This is by far my favorite Target location! I use the Drive Up service constantly, probably six times a week, which sounds a little crazy, but it's just so convenient. There's always something I need, and being able to place an order and have it ready within a couple of hours is a huge time saver. Compared to other stores where pickup times can be limited or take much longer, Target makes the process quick and easy. The Drive Up team is absolutely amazing. They are always friendly, welcoming, and professional. A few of the team members even recognize me and take the time to chat, which makes every visit feel personal and appreciated. I've never had an issue with my orders, they almost always get everything right. Everyone at this location is incredibly kind, and the customer service is consistently excellent. The convenience, accuracy, and outstanding staff keep me coming back again and again. Highly recommend this Target location! Target is my go-to store for practically any item as they are consistently clean and well-organized. However, for this particular store, I came in here to use their restroom. Thank goodness they were opened at 7 am as I had just driven into Apple Valley from about 1.5 hours away and it was time to go. I was at the deli purchasing meat when I observed two serious sanitation concerns from the employee assisting me: 1. The employee did not change their gloves after returning from the back area, creating uncertainty about what they may have handled beforehand. 2. The deli meat was placed on a food preparation surface directly adjacent to trash can lids. When I brought this to the employee's attention, he stated that the trash can lids had been sanitized. However, this still constitutes cross-contamination, especially given that the area was clearly marked "food prep area only." He did not seem to understand the severity of the issue. When I asked if he could step aside so I could take additional photos, he quickly removed the meat. I have included a photo documenting the violation and hope that this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. read more

After I confronted him, he immediately took it out and walked away. I reported it to management, they asked me to explain the story and excused me. This place will hire anybody. I was looking to purchase a Nintendo Switch and Mario Kart. When my wife kindly asked for assistance, a female employee helping out a fellow employee in the gaming area obtain a video game flippantly radioed for another associate to assist us walking away stating something along the lines of "all these customers, asking questions all day" while walking away... She is blessed. Anyhow, I am not one to complain but I was so upset with this comment and I have no idea really why, other than it could have been kept to herself... I get it, totally. Placing myself in her shoes, it must be exhausting dealing with thousands of questions all day. However, opening her big mouth and stating something disgraceful within ear shot in front of customers is a total (****) move in my opinion and I believe it is not in line with Targets customer service policy. I would imagine... I will get over it lol let me continue though: When the associate arrived, I explained I was very upset about it, she apologize for the girl in question, I asked to speak to a manager, the manager was polite, kind, courteous understanding, courteous enough to offer me a 10% percent discount on the switch and game but at that point I felt like I do not even wish to shop here anymore lol... I will still give this Target a 5 star, for cleanliness, professionalism in handling my petty grievance against a disgruntled employee... If it was not for Targets serious 5 Star reputation and because my auntie is High up there in their chain of command in Los Angeles. I would have given them a 1 star and stopped shopping there lol but I love Target I mean who doesn't? This round I took my business elsewhere and purchased the Nintendo online from Best Buy... Waited for a looong time before a worker walked by and I had to ask her to get someone at the desk. That took 5 minutes.... Not the first time this has happened. This target has gone down fast. I needed to use the ladies room and Target came to the rescue. Thank you Target! Of course, as I was in the store, I said what do I need to buy since I'm there. I thought of white out or correction tape and motor oil for my upcoming road trip this summer. I also swung by the board games area to checkout Wavelength and Tetris. I ended up not buying anything after all. Store was really clean. However, merchandise inventory was low in certain aisles. There was a really nice gentleman who directed me to the motor oil. Today I visited this target for the second time as it's the closest department store from my grandparents house ( I live in LA). The store was well organized and easy to get to. However, this location is not following of COVID- 19 regulations. They were not limiting the people inside the location and security was not informing the mask state law. Although all employees were wearing mask I wondered if only Southern Californians are following this rule. It was shocking to know that not all targets are follow g the same state law. I almost didn't feel safe walking around while some people were coughing and roaming around. Not sure if I was over reacting but the law is the law. read more

Went to this location around 4;30pm on 6/17/2024. Store visit was good overall until it came time to checkout. I opted to use self-service register. An overweight, middle aged woman with a brunette bob haircut approached me as I was headed to the register. She curtly told me, "Card only, no cash at register." .... She said it as if I don't belong in "her" line...No problem because that's how I intended to pay. I only had 4 items to scan. When I got to the last item, which was a watermelon, there was an issue with the barcode. The same woman told me, "Wait, I have to do something". She went to her terminal, chatted with some other girl.. them walked around the store, came back.. & didn't say a word to me.. then she began talking to others in the area.. I'm still standing at the register waiting to be assisted. I took my few items & got in line at a regular register to pay for my goods. Mind you, I walked right past her and she still didn't acknowledge me. Ironically, I witnessed similar behavior from another store clerk towards my daughter at the Bear Valley location recently. For reference, we're both black females.. We've only been to these locations a few times, yet we've had less than favorable service... Sounds like Target needs to ramp up DEi training. I've spent numerous dollars at Target over the years, but I won't spend another dollar there if I continue to receive service like I did today. read more

Go to Apple valley/ bear valley bad customer service here and always a hassle. Went in cause they were the only place in stock for gingerbread house. Figured I could fix a simple price adjustment on something I bought online and they refused to help me. Saying it was passed 2 weeks. Went to a different target and they fixed it right there and then didn't even have to get anyone else involved. I don't understand how customer service is ran here at this target. So I asked the employee that did the adjustment a question and she said they should have been able to do it because returns are extended thru the holiday season. So then again LAZY people work here. You can never go wrong with Target. Yes, they're all pretty much the same. Same aesthetics, same layouts, same products. The only difference between this location and others are the employees. We stopped by Target around 4-5pm on Sunday. This trip was mainly to take our kids "family secret santa shopping" which was a little difficult since each of us had to accompany a kid while they shopped for their secret santa and not have their secret santa see what they bought. First employee encounter was when we snuck away to check out at the tech counter. I believe the employee was newer and he was awesome! He helped us make a quick purchase after hearing it was a secret santa present that we were hiding and even went to grab some tape and taped up our bag for us, to ensure no one could see inside of it. Second employee encounter was at guest services when we forgot to do a price match. The employee quickly refunded the amount we overpaid, it was as simple as that! Other stores would have like said you're SOL. Third employee was the Starbucks worker. She was super friendly to everyone that stopped by for a drink. read more

I would never come to this target again. Several times that I have came I have been negatively impacted by privileged individuals. One of whom was a customer and two of whom where employees. Often when I come and check out at self check out near Starbucks, an African American elderly lady literally stands by me and my children (EVERYTIME) while I'm checking out but will allow all the white and Mexican folks to checkout in peace. I am not a thief and I've spent soooo much money in this store that I could pay for her salary. It just sucks because I am black too but I'm a way lighter shade than her but because my husband is a darker complexion and my children skin color ranges from light to dark that we are being stereotyped. Keep in mind, I've never been approached by security or anything. Some of the cashiers even adore me. The second incident occurred when I tried to return diapers from my target baby registry. I didn't have the boxes but the bags were unopened. When I approached customer service and saw the two YOUNG and IMMATURE looking and acting associates, I knew there was going to be a problem. I explained that these diapers are on my target registry (meaning they are traceable) and I do not want my money back, I just need to get more diapers that my baby can fit. They both looked at me with VERY HIGH SUSPICION and called a manager. The manager "KARA" or "SARA" (I don't fully remember her name) but she looks middle eastern with a darker skin tone proceeded to tell me that she can't prove that I purchased the diapers from target. I said, they are up and up brand diapers. These diapers are only sold at target. Then she kept cutting me off mid-speech by shaking her head and saying no. I tried to explain that these diapers are on my registry and she proceeded to cut me off in the same manner previously stated. Long story short, I went to the target on bear valley and I did not have an issue what so ever because most importantly, the diapers were traceable. I will NEVER spend another dime in this store. I would typically go out of my way and drive further to come here, yet I should have listened to my husband the first time when he said this particular target store employees and even the customers stereotypes which is strange because it is in the worst of areas. I just liked it because it was newer and felt fresher. Never again! No!!!! You know when your being judged, and this was one of those moments. Me and my boyfriend went inside today to get 2 Carmel frapps, and the girls first mistake was getting the name wrong, no big deal. But then she forgot to make my boyfriends drink AFTER SHE TOOK THE ORDER , she seemed like she could of been new, but had no training experience. and there was another loud rowdy girl working, being unprofessional and people were caught off guard looking at eachother in disbelief with how she was acting and by her being so loud. We waited for my boyfriends drink after she handed me mine, and she never made his so we got fed up with the service we just walked out and I regret going to this Starbucks and having that girl make my drink. Clean store and great selection. It's a super target so they have basically everything a Walmart would but the prices are obviously more which is fine. Only down side is they are always limited with the cashiers that are open so can take a bit to check out if not doing self checkout. read more

First time coming to this Target location. A pit stop on our way home from Nevada. Thank you to Natalia working the drive up. I bought shoes for a gift and when she brought my order out they were not in a shoe box just in the bag. She noticed the wrapping paper and gift bow and asked if I was gifting them, once I told her yes she offered to go back in the store and find me the proper shoe box for them. Went in to do a baby registry and the kid working the registry counter had no idea what we were talking about. Couldn't help us, so he offered to get a manager-great. Turns out he doesn't go get his manager, he asks a fellow employee who obviously knows nothing about the registry either. We end up trying to figure it out ourselves, download all the necessary apps just to learn these apps aren't supported by target any longer. Nothing but kids working there not knowing how to do the jobs they're hired on to do is extremely frustrating. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. So the Store Manager (Jose) of this location is such a lazy manager, walks around the store glued to his phone or just hides in his office. What kind of good example is that showing for his employees/guests?. Anyways my wife and I were there about a month ago we needed to talk to the manager but literally excuses after excuses of "how he was busy". So finally Danielle Wright the HR employee comes out and is down right a complete bitch, NEVER have I felt so disrespected in my life. I went to super target - Apple Valley North 20288 us Highway 18 March 25, 2023 at 10:06 am to buy cat litter. First, it was hard for me to find any employee to load a very heavy box into my cart. I finally found one and she did help. She explained that once I pay, an employee will find someone to help me get the box into my car. When I went to self check out and couldn't reach the box with the scanner and asked for help, an african American female employee looked and said I was scanning a wrong barcode. She didn't even move to help me, just ignored me. A customer helped me move the box, helped me to scan, and helped me load the box into my car.
