This target is the worst I've ever been to! Nothing is ever stocked. They consistently get my online order/ in-store pick up wrong. The associates literally run around the store playing tag with each other and can't be even be bothered enough to know where to find or how to activate target gIft card. I recommend this Target over Walmart and I will return when I need something. This Target sucks. Never has anyone. There is stuff all over the floors. Sometimes you can't even walk by. Don't make the mistake and go there when they first open because you will be tripping over pallets. Some of the employees don't give a damn about their job. This location is always clean and fairly quiet- just what I look forward to when shopping at Target. This is the first Target I have visited with a self serve "price check" which informs you which aisle the item is located. Nice! Only draw back, when you use the self check out, the machine does not allow you to scan your Cartwheel Bar Code. You have to manually key in the number. Target, please fix. Target has been a staple of my weekly shopping rituals since I was a little girl. Moving to Baltimore from California, I was excited to know I had a Target nearby. Little did I know it was a complete nightmare. This Target is a total mess and upset to the entire company. I have come here for various things to decorate and stock up my new home, and every time, I leave disappointed or upset. I always see staff just standing around doing nothing or "stocking". God forbid I need help getting something from their unstocked shelves. I have experienced this 3 times where I have been rudely turned away when I have asked if they have everyday items in stock. The WORST Target I have ever been to. I have had a better experience in the Walmart in Dundalk than at this so called Target. I am an avid and loyal Target shopper, but this Target in Canton has changed my mind entirely. They either need new management or new staff. I am so disappointed. read more

Just moved into the area and have stopped into this Target at least 3-4 times. Every visit the stock & shelves are scarce in product! It's multiple departments throughout the store too, I don't get it. In addition to the lack of product, the store looks a mess with every visit. I'll be venturing out for another location. read more

Convenience for those of us who live in Canton make this place a win. Always very clean and pleasant to shop. BUT, there will be empty shelves. For some reason they have sections that do not seem to get restocked for weeks at a time. *The Starbucks inside is one of the worst for speed and accuracy. You'll wait in a line of 5-10 people and watch them throw away about a half-dozen drinks because they made the wrong item. Skip it. read more

I live 2.5 miles from Target and 2.5 miles from Walmart. I choose Target each and every time. The Canton Target is, for the most part, well stocked and always clean. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I never get "road rage" inside the store. read more

EJ was stocking the grocery section when I walked into his aisle looking for pudding, and he immediately asked if he could help me find whatever it was I needed. I mentioned pudding and he promptly walked me over to the fridge section where he pointed them out and then asked if there was anything else he could do for me. He was SO pleasant and so helpful! At this target specifically, the environment was very uncomfortable. A security guard kept following my Mother and I throughout the entire store. Literally keeping tabs on our every move. On the otherhand, the workers were using profanity and are not welcoming. My Mother and I went into target for "workout gear" in which they always have the best peices, however they took away "Champion" apparel and now they another designer, who pieces are not that appealing. This Target is a great addition to the area. I feel a little bad about the sudden influx of chain big-box stores into Canton but it is extremely convenient to have a Target nearby. In the past the closest place to buy random household items was the Wal Mart out in North Point and that store is awful. This new store is clean, appears to be well stocked and the staff members that I've dealt with so far have all been friendly. read more

My bf just bought a pack of sodas, and as we got outside we realized one had exploded in our cart. He went in to return them and as I'm standing alone here outside, a target employee who was collecting carts starts LOUDLY making fun of my boyfriend outside of the store. Compared to the other Target in the city, this location is the BOOM DOT COM!!! The staff is plesent, the shelevs are stocked and you don't have worry about your safety so much at this location. The store is clean and the surrounding area is nice. I am so glad that this location was built in the city. read more

I felt the need to review this Target because the employees here are friendlier than the ones at most Targets I've been to. I was at this location on Tuesday 10/08/2019 with my infant daughter and my sister (my sister, Tais P., has also written a review). My daughter was in a stroller for my shopping convenience- who knew that needed to be explained?! Short of the story is we were profiled for reasons unknown to us. For some reason, out of all the babies and strollers in Target with us at that time WE got pointed out and followed PERSISTENTLY. It felt like intimidation and a style of stalking. Literally, every single aisle, bathroom break, reach down for a wipe, smell of a conditioner, one of the three LP/Security team members locked eyes with us, walked past us, or just plain glared at us. It was not discussed by us in any seriousness until the conditioner aisle-about 40 minutes into the shopping trip-where I asked my sister, who is a high-end retail store manager, if she thought the guys and the lady were LP to which she confirmed she thought they were and we shared our observation that they were always around. We went to check out and the two LP guys were glaring at us from the distance. The cashier was VERY rude. We paid for our respective purchases and then went to Starbucks to get coffees. I played with the baby in the carrier while my sister carried out our coffee orders and I noticed the female security guard was now checking receipts at the exit; interesting. Also, the two 6ft male LP guys were flanking the exit on the outside and one was peering in to look at the bottom of my stroller. REALLY? The female security checks everyone's purchase receipt except ours which we had in hand in preparation. However, then we walked through the tunnel of suspicion and pass the towers of LP doom and guess what -the sensormatic DID NOT GO OFF. Surprised? We weren't! Now I am sure someone stole it just wasn't the two sisters and the baby they (all 3) stalked for the hour we were there. Geez, that profiling was obvious, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We then returned because we were so incensed and spoke to a supervisor; she was respectful but less than helpful and frankly more should have been done. Then the rudeness of the cashier was made obvious as she called for the female security guard to go over and monitor our calm conversation with the supervisor; the cashier was probably under the impression we were thieves too. Poor customer service and poor client interaction. Also, LP guys need a good understanding of why their behavior was less than acceptable and a good retraining. Oh and those other ever present security guys were no where in sight for the 10 minutes or so it took for us to share our grievance. No checking of purchase receipts at the exit or towering LP guys to walk through, with a baby, for anybody else that day, I guess. UGHH....and to think I stopped shopping at Walmart for less. read more

This location is fairly clean overall and pretty much has everything you need for a quick target run. My review is for the management here and also all of the out of date food. Be careful when you see items on sale, not clearance, but regular sale items. I found at least 10 different items with dates of expiration going back as far as 2014. Told several team members on 2 occasions when I was in store but I decided to take it a step further and let management know. The manager told me that they have over a hundred fifty thousand items to keep in stock and it's found that they're going to have things on the shelf that sometimes are out of date. So I told the manager I let many employees know of several items specifically that were on the shelf and they're still there. He was clearly irritated with me so I asked for his name because I could tell that he had no interest in trying to resolve the situation so I asked for his name and he told me goodbye and hung up on me without giving me his name. So just be sure to check the dates on your food here because they don't rotate there stock well at all. read more

I love having this Target nearby now. Unfortunately I have gone there now 4 different times only to find they are sold out of what I went there to buy. They only had my dog food brand in stock once. Also, went there for Xmas lights and they were sold out of just clear lights with green wire. Very disappointed that they don't stay stocked longer. read more

I am so happy that they finally got a Target closer then White Marsh or Glen Burnie. I usually go to either of the two if I need something specifically from Target. I walked into the Target a few weeks after it opened. It was nice and clean and was greeted by the security at the door. They seemed to have more cuter clothes for girls at this one. This target has became my go-to. Somethings in the store are way more expensive than Walmart but most of Target things have better quality. Now there's this 1 thing that bothers me is when I walk from the service counter with an exchange to out the door security always ask for my receipt. It bothers me so much. Target seems to keep their lines down when getting outta hand. I always forget they have self check-out which the lines are always empty because people just don't know. I'm hearing that all targets pharmacy is now CVS which is a plus. They have the largest cosmetics for traveling I've ever seen. They have lots of parking Starbucks, and a Pizza Hut. Target is getting better with their grocery sections but the prices a higher than normal markets. Target should have a rule for cashiers to limit personal feelings about work to themselves when customers are around. This Target has to be one of the most poorly managed stores in the chain. At first I thought the store was just dealing with growing pains related to its opening. Now, nearly 6 months later, you will still find merchandise on the floor in almost every department and huge holes in the grocery department. The last time I stopped by, the grocery department was out of onions of any type, macaroni, and several other key "staple" products. I was so excited to have a bit of suburban convenience, but I find myself using the Towson Target when life brings me up that way, rather than going to the Canton store a mile from my house. read more

Having this target here is truly a life saver. It's very cleaned and well stocked. Baltimoreans can finally get a decent deal on something.

Although this is a prime location for a Target store, I simply was not satisfied with the customer service. I couldn't find the ladies hosiery section of the store and asked 3 different associates to direct me, and none of which were able to do so. The 3 said they would get someone to help me, and no one ever returned. I will never go back. read more
