The self check out only had card payments which I utilized but the cash was with a cashier and it was ONLY ONE LINE one cashier for cash payments on a Sunday! Imagine that line. During this visit, I had to check myself out and was paying cash. The young lady had to come over once to check my ID for my wine purchase. Shout out to this Target for having actual checkers at their registers! I can't remember the last time I walked into a Target and checkout was easy. I do not live in this area, but I housesit here from time to time and end up running up here for odds and ends. Target is great for odds and ends. This location is doing some revamping and so finding yogurt was a bit troublesome. But it was there, I just had to keep looking. Their produce and bakery section was smaller than the stores I frequent, but I was able to find everything I needed. The parking lot, store, and restrooms are clean. The staff is pleasant, they have quality products. Didn't notice many sales the day I came but I do believe they have a rewards program which might be signing up for as products here are usually overpriced . This review is more about online shopping. The online had a option to get Same Day Delivery, or I could pick another day. For the same day delivery they charge $9.99. However I got a text saying they could not deliver my order until the next day. I received my order, but they still charged me the $9.99 for same day. They refused to refund me for their error. If I wanted my order to be delivered the next day, I would have picked that option at a lower cost. I will never use their online service again. read more

Sylvia was the associates name. She was very rude and unprofessional. She gave the vibe as if I was inconveniencing her by doing my return. I visit this store pretty often. More often than not I get followed around in this store by the employees. They seem friendly at first. Ask if I need help, to which I reply no. Then five minutes later I see them rearranging something in my aisle, and the next aisle I go to. And the next. You get the point. I actually work at the target DC, and use my employee discount with every purchase. You'd think they'd remember me after a while and stop following me. I have gone to this target so many times, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth about future visits to this particular target. I went to eat there and ordered two small drinks and two small pepperoni pizzas. From the moment I walked in the only worker was freaking out and mumbling about needing more help because more customers were arriving and she was the only one working the food counter. Another woman arrived and started taking over the register so that the previous worker could cook the food, however the women working the register obviously had no clue what she was doing. She kept having to ask the woman supposed to be cooking how to do something on the register and didn't even know the difference between a small and large cup which I even knew even though I've never worked there. When I finally placed my order I sat down and waited and forty minutes later I realized I wasn't going to get my food. Some other people had walked in while I was waiting and only had to wait 10 minutes to literally get the SAME EXACT ORDER. At that point I was mad so we went to complain and asked for the manager and the woman at the register, the same one who looked liked she never worked/stepped a foot in Target claimed she was the manager. She told us there were no more pepperoni pizzas even though she literally just gave four away to people that ordered after us. This is a Super Target, which means it has a grocery store along with the basic Target offerings. The food in the grocery store is very reasonably priced and fresh (I definitely spend some time in their produce section). I actually feel like their produce is fresher than that from some of the nearby grocery stores. They have darn near everything you could want to pick up from a store and you just about can find it at a decent price. My few complaints are that a) they're not open 24 hours like another superstore that's a few blocks away and b)you can't get a watch battery from there unless you know EXACTLY what you're looking for (My bro went to buy a battery for his watch & the lady at jewelry was like "Hey, if you didn't buy the watch here, we won't open your watch or even let YOU open your own watch to see what type of battery you need." This is the closet Target to my house and is a Super Target at that. The store itself is always very clean and items well stocked and displayed. Also there lighting is nice and bright here. I noticed at another location recently the lighting was low and dreary which caused a blah feeling throughout the store. They have a grocery side and a retail side. There is also a Starbucks located inside. Plenty of registers open so wait isn't all that long. You can use the cartwheel app to scan bar codes in the store to see if there are any sales you can take advantage of. Plenty of parking here and located near all types of restaurants, retail stores and the Mall in Cedar Hill. read more

I have been shopping here since it opened. It's clean (although the restrooms have gotten real bad over the past two years, I'm going to say hold it till you get home). I have the aisles and the contents memorized. I could shop here blindfolded. I like their prices, red card and cart wheel app. Their Starbucks never messes up my drink. I like their chicken strips. This is the Walmart I go to all the time, and I usually never have problems. I called today to ask for an item to be put on hold, and the store operator on the line said that they don't put items on hold(she didn't even let me ask her if it was certain items) . I was confused so I hung up and checked the target website for policy, and they do holds, even during the holidays. So I don't know why she said no, but it just goes to say that I was very disappointed in the customer service, when I've always been very happy with my local target. So 2 stars y'all. I am writing about the Super Target because I am a frequent shopper here (weekly) and no matter how I've provided feedback, the fresh produce area of the store is still VERY DISAPPOINTING. Every other department in the store is very nice, clean and organized and the service is superb. But if you're going there to buy a fruits or vegetables, you will not be pleased with the selection. The avocados are black their so rotten, oranges are dried up, Roma tomatoes are overripe, just to name a few of my dissatisfactions. This area is lacking and when I consult a Target Member in the produce section they admit that they have litte or NO produce experience. If there is one area of my shopping experience that can improve it's this one. read more

2 stars only because they were nice. I was having a barbecue so I bought "Bubba Burger" hamburger patties. When I got home I noticed a slight smell to one package. I didn't think much of it since I bought 2. I open the second package and it was pungent and really discolored. I checked the sell by date and it was may 31, 2013! How disgusting. This was Tuesday. I took them back today and they were very apologetic and offered me a coupon for a whole $3 off my next visit. For year old meat, you would think they would do something a little better than that. I absolutely love how friendly, clean, and organized the staff at this location is. I'm obsessed with yhr starbucks cafe inside, and the full grocery section. They seem to have more aisles of merchandise as well. There's typically a good ratio of cashiers and customers on any given day. You can get in and out in a quick moment. Carts are always in there place, not ruining cars. Overall, one of the best targets I've been to. read more

The employees I encountered were extremely friendly. The store is always clean and neat. I had a mishap with a jar of sauce falling and breaking. I parked my cart over it and went to the service phone just one or two isles over and a friendly lady asked how she could help. I told her what happened and there were at least 3 employees who showed up within 60 seconds to clean up the mess. I apologized and they were super nice about it. I will always think highly of Target in Cedar Hill. I live in Ennis & I drive past the Target in Waxahachie to go to the one in Cedar Hill. The only issue I have is I purchased a 12 oz. bag of Archer Farms Trail Mix (Cashew, Cranberry, & Almond) on May 17, 2016 and after I opened it May 18,2016 and ate a handful I saw that it had expired March 29, 2016. I know it's dried fruit & nuts and it's probably still ok to eat, but it makes me wonder how many other items are past their sell by dates? Cedar Hill is still my favorite Target tho... Okay let me start off by saying that I LOVE TARGET and shop here ALL THE TIME! I purchased a dress on Monday 8/26 at the location near where I live and needed a smaller size. My husband was off on 8/28 and offered to exchange it for me, he had some business to take care off in Cedar Hill so he stopped at their Target to exchange my dress for me. I forgot to give him my receipt (my bad) but it's an even exchange so no biggie right. Well he finds my size and goes go to customer service and was told 1- that the exact dress different size cost $8 dollars more at this location. 2- Since he didn't have the receipt he would have to pay the $8 dollar difference...for an EXCHANGE...I think not! It's an EVEN EXCHANGE. I have worked retail and have been a Manager at a large department store, this is not how it is suppose to work. I really hope that this is a one off situation and that this is not Target's policy because if it is, I am going to have to really think twice about shopping at Target which would REALLY REALLY SUCK because I really do LOVE Target. read more

The optician named Alex at the optical department was very professional, helpful, and kind helping me fix my sunglasses the other day. My favorite Lacoste sunglasses had a missing screw and I was afraid I would need to replace them if they didn't have a replacement available. Not only did they have the exact replacement, but it took less than 5 minutes, and Alex helped me at no cost as a courtesy to their customers. Wonderful! read more
