Love this location! This Target has really improved since my last post. They are friendly and the store is always clean. Now that BJs has opened, parking is a little tight on Saturdays. Update- The grocery is by far the worst part of this store. I used to work for a grocery store and what I've observed should not be happening. More than once have I noticed expired food still on the shelves. Employees restocking shelves leave their large carts in the aisles preventing anyone to pass. The latest was my discovery of dried spaghetti sauce on the shelves and product. I understand spills but not when the spill is completely dry. That's shows inattentive employees. I still love this location but Traders Joes might be a cleaner option when purchasing groceries. read more

This convenient location is a really great store. Tons of parking...i always park at the bottom of the deck and just take the stairs up to level 4 so i dont have to circle around the busy parking deck. I just LOVE Target. They have everything I need from pharmacy, to trendy home goods, to cosmetics and toiletries, to affordable clothing that is not bad looking, to a full grocery store, to sports equipment, to electronics, to vacuums and steam cleaners.... shall I continue. The store is always very clean and the staff is generally really helpful. While they don't beat Walmart on price....they sure have a better crowd and better service. ...and you can always spot a hottie or five during each trip. Today when I went, i was looking for carpet cleaning solution for my carpet cleaner. Found a great deal on some solution and each bottle had a $2 off save at the register. .... i got two giant bottle for less than 26 dollars. Not too shabby. I doubt that there is a single person who hasn't visited a Target....but if you are new to the country perhaps, you need to check it out. This Target is super convenient and has a lot of brands and clothing options. However, the store is FILTHY. The floors are so dirty in the cart area and every single aisle you're walking in something sticky, walking over actual dirt and trash in the MIDDLE OF THE AISLES. It's so disgusting I barely want to shop. The aisles are a mess, some days it feels like I'm shopping at Ross or another store where cleanliness is not a priority. Do better Target. read more

Compared to other Targets, this one is sub-par. Store is consistently messy and unstocked. There are never enough lanes open, and when you finally get to the register you'll be "greeted" by an associate who clearly hates their job. Dont get me started on the parking garage... Giving 2 stars for the location and the fact it does have a grocery dept, which is convenient. read more

My boyfriend and I moved to Charlotte today and came to target to get some last minute essentials. I forgot my eggs at the counter and our cashier came running all the way in the parking lot to give them to us! I would have been so bummed if we left them. This is a great Target! It is clean and well kept. They have a Starbucks inside as well as an express Pizza Hut. I have never had any issues finding parking as some of my fellow yelpers mention. My only complaint is that I have bought clothes here and the next day gone to the University target and found them 50% cheaper! I am guessing you pay for this location's location! read more

PHARMACY: Awful service today. Dropped off perscription at 10am for pick up at 12 noon. Came at 2pm and not only was it not ready, it took 30 minutes to fill and then they only could fill half of it. Didn't tell me they could only fill half. Today is Friday and they expected other drug in Monday which was unacceptable. Requested my money and my perscription back and taking my business elsewhere! I have been here twice in the past three days... 'tis the holiday season, right? The first time was just a quick run in and grab something. I used self check out and it was flawless - other than me trying to pick out what toy I wanted to buy. The second time... it was a different story. We needed to return a sweater (and the line had a couple people already but it seemed to go pretty quickly). After we needed to grab a few things (one of which was a video game). I had previously seen several target employees walking around, but could not seem to find one when I needed them. I walked up to the "tech desk" and there was a lady sitting on her phone - looking down. I stood there for a little until the phone started to ring and that's when she finally looked up. She did not say one word to me, and continued toward the phone. After she answered she yelled over me for another employee. She was talking to the employee about the customer on the phone. The phone was not on hold (the first tech employee said) and the other told the customer to hold for one second. Then proceeded to ask if I needed help. She called another employee over to help me, that employee completely walked right by me and yet again I found myself standing waiting for someone's help. Finally she looked over and asked if I needed some help. FINALLY. I told her what game I needed and then she proceeded to check us out. I know it's the holiday season and most of these target employees are probably just temporary but it seems to be a little chaotic and lack of communication for them. I come to this target pretty frequently, I would say, and they are always so organized and friendly. I guess I just happened to go on the wrong day today. I still gave four stars because this was the only bad experience I have had at this location but I know it is not typical. read more

I love this Target location! Aside from being the closet location to my house, it always have everything that I'm looking for. This location is always well organized and the staff is always helpful which is a A+ in my book! Epic service fail. I ordered a picture disk from their Kodak kiosk. The receipt said pick up at 11:30 I went back at 4. No one at the pick up counter knew anything about it. A women then help me who said it was not ready yet. Maybe I could do some shopping as they had no one to work on it. I mentioned it was due back at 11 and was 5 hours past Due how long would it be and she said she had no idea. (Not sure how long she thought is would shop). I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager so no escalation and no time frame for when my disk will be done. read more

I really dislike going here, but it can't be avoided sometimes due to being located close to home, and they actually have good prices on a lot of home goods. My biggest complaint about this place is not the parking, once you learn to park on the second floor and just walk up a flight of stairs its no problem. The problem is the employees most of the time. My biggest gripe is the employee who is paid to tell me what line to get into. It's really not that bad, and I understand trying to maintain even distribution for the cashiers, but its when that person becomes a group of 5-6 employees, standing and talking right in the middle of the already crowded main walkway. They absolutely ignore any kind of responsibility and instead I have heard quite a few Fri/Sat night stories between employees instead of actually doing some kind of tangible work.(ex. opening another lane instead of figuring out how not to do work) I find myself coming here less and less, again, not because of the location, parking, but strictly because of what seem like lack of leadership in the front end of the store which is frustrating to no end. When you have 2 items and it takes you 30 minutes to get out of the store, something is wrong. read more

It's a typical Target store. I like this location because it's close to Uptown and surrounded by other great stores. Not my favorite place to by food since it tends to be overpriced most of the time. Clothing and other necessities are reasonably priced, IMO though. read more

I would normally give this target a 4 star, however our cashier Kalaya was soo wonderful she upped the rating. she was very patient and even showed us how to save while we were on the line. she was bubbly and friendly to everyone we observed her working with. So, I went into this Target today for a few items. I was standing in the skin care/body care section when an employee comes over near me, reaches by and takes a few pumps of a lotion bottle on the shelf behind me. Really! It was like no big deal to do it, right in front of a customer. I actually like Target stores, but this really annoyed me. I'm shopping for skin care items and begin to wonder if someone had been using them too. Are my items clean, full, and sanitary to be placed on my skin or have they been tested in store by the great employees of Target @ Metrolina?... This Target is kind of my second home I believe I come here at least 2 to 3 times per week. It's your one stop shop for groceries, clothing, hair care, home decor, books, pharmacy needs and so much more (like Starbucks). For some reason shopping at Target is just so much more comfortable than the Wal Mart. What I like most about this Target is the pharmacy. They have the friendliest pharmacists who are always very helpful. The store is easy to navigate and checking out is a breeze. read more

The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting! They are 4/4 on this now. I can't believe they would leave them in such filth. Barely usable and a sight that is disappointment and stank! I looked to see on the door how a manager could actually pass the inspection and somehow they just initial and never look at the disgust. I would never initial my name to that grossness. It wasn't a 1 time thing, but in constant distress. The walls, floors, and most importantly toilets look like something from a horror film! This store takes the cake on worse restrooms of all time! I went to Target this week to buy an I-pod after a less-than-stellar experience at the Best Buy @ Midtown. I was asked immediately by a sales associate if I needed help. He was enthusiastic to serve me; he showed me the jogging wristbands that would fit my new I-pod and thoroughly explained the tech support and warranty for electronic products purchased at Target. A far cry from the hand-off customer service "specialists" at Best Buy! A side note: this Target is adding a full grocery section, woo hoo! read more

The nearest Target to uptown. You can find me here weekly grabbing my weekly necessities. This Target has a Starbucks, Pizza Hut cafe, and pharmacy. No optical store. Few tips: - Get a RedCard. 5% off at the register; can't beat it - Install Cartwheel app on your phone. You can find great deals and the cashier scans the barcode on your phone - Park on P2. Everyone parks on P3 and it is chaos. It is a quick walk up the stairs from P2 to the front doors. - Go to Trader Joe's right across the street for any grocery items I'm not looking forward to the BJ's opening up below the Target. Great location, very nice people working there, but just a brutal selection, especially when it comes to men's clothing and housewares. I understand that this location is an "urban" one on a smaller scale than the usual big boxes, but instead of shrinking all sections of a regular location, they seemed to just lop off different areas. It'll be interesting to see if they do any store adjustments with so much new housing entering the area and this location being the closest to Uptown, South End, P-M, Elizabeth, and other growing neighborhoods. read more

Well, I have really never met a target that I didn't like but I do have some favorite locations and this is now one of them. I was skeptical of the parking but it is super easy to navigate around with clear signs to help even the newbies of parking decks. The lady named VAy deserves a big applause. She was so kind, knowledgable and a true asset to this store. She left me feeling good and with a smile. Customer service at it's best! Yay for Target!! read more

I love target but I avoid this location due to the forever long lines at all hours of the day. You would think they'd be better staffed as the most central Target in Charlotte but especially right after work hours. read more

I go here constantly. They always have whatever I need. Some people complain about the parking deck, but its usually pretty easy to get in and out of, and I don't mind it at all. Its close to many other stores so my friends and I often go shopping there and then grab lunch or walk around there for awhile before going home. I love Targets period, but this one gets 5 stars from me because they have an incredible ethnic hair products section. I was blown away.

The parking deck like its neighbor at Trader Joes is abysmal but this a wonderful Target which is worth the fight.

I love Target so this one is no different. I did however make the mistake of going on a Saturday and getting a parking space was almost like an episode of Survivor. People were driving very crazy and someone almost backed into my car. I will stick with my favorite Target near my home. read more

I wish I lived closer to Midtown because I would be in Target all the time. This is a very clean store (Targets usually are as opposed to their blue rival), and their carts aren't falling apart! Still a little sad about Target. Since we went during "Ice-agedon" we weren't expecting much but jeeze, they were out of meat!? Oddly funny.
