This Target is gigantic. It looked like it would have virtually anything you would want to purchase. They had a lot of groceries. They had produce. They had clothes. It was spacious. I would say a solid option. The only reason I prefer the Broadview store (I live in between this one and Broadview store essentially) is that this one is a little more crowded. Also, Broadview opens earlier so I can get there early, beat the crowds and get out. I have come to this one on my lunch time to grab a few quick items and I would say it's a solid store. The Manager King is rude and seems to not care of customer she yelled at a customer but on top of that since she only speaks English she believes everyone's has to speak English this customer asked for someone who spoke Spanish and she simply answer "NO!" With her ugly attitude . She should not represent a manager she is unfair and obviously has a problem with people of another race. read more

Next time I decide to go to this Target, talk me out of it. Seriously. There are 1000000 children per 1 adult (ratio), I kid you not. They are screaming, yelling, and running everywhere. The lines are long, the cashiers don't know how to swipe your card if the card reader isn't working, and the shelves were messy. Never again. read more

This is a typical run of the mill Target except with the old layout, where you had a Starbucks in the corner, home goods on the side, and clothing in the back. They had what we were looking for (molasses and Worcestershire), and lines were not uncontrollably long. Self checkout was easy enough. No complaints. read more

I stopped here because it was super close to where I was living. I was shopping through the household supplies when I encountered a cart with two children inside. The mom must have been somewhere in the aisle. I am not sure which woman it was. Well, as I passed the cart, one of the children happened to throw a can of febreeze at me and hit me in the face. The mom happened up at that exact moment and started laughing! Seriously? Your kid grabs something off the shelf and throws it at a stranger and you find this funny? Uggg! Tell the kid to apologize or something. Do not allow them to act like savaged beasts. It is sad. I didn't go back here unless I was in a time crunch and really needed something but didn't want to drive out to Hodgkins or Broadview. But.... it took a year before I went back here and the other patrons never got better. read more

In reading - remember you can't purchase items and have target hold them. They can only hold items 24 hours I saw some items in Furniture Area and did not have a large enough vehicle to take with me. I decided I would ask for them to hold items, but could not find associates out on the floor and store was swarming with people. I decided I would rush back with a larger vehicle anyway. I was not able to rush back immediately, so I called store to have an assoc. place furniture on hold - after being on phone long time long with a less than enthusiastic target assoc. and after having to convince (yes convince) and force feed important information to help him in search for items I needed held. This store assoc. gets back on phone and mumbles "looked" items no longer in stock he says. I decided to go back to target because I really wanted these items and was pretty sure this assoc. was just lying. Sure enough I drive back to Target and items are still in the exact same spot. I complained to someone who was store manager or acting store manager and to furniture dept. manager. They both seem to be very familiar with assoc. and knew exactly who assoc. was and were not even surprised and found it very amusing. Well I did not get an apology, no nothing - drove back and forth for nothing. I have had this happen before and this is my last time! I have had other target stores where one store or website helps you locate items that are supposed to be at other locations you call to make sure they are available and they say they don't have them and you drive the store and find the items sitting there on their shelves. I suggest that if you ever really want in item that that you ensure item is there that you don't trust Target Associates they are lazy and useless and give Target a really bad name. Review I gave to Target on their feedback box: I walked in around 9:15 PM CST to buy a Simplemobile sim card. I tried doing a self checkout and wasn't able to. One of the cashier leads tried assisting me but she wasn't able to figure it out as well. The store manager (Reid) was pretending to organize some stuff next to her. She asked him for assistance and he looked annoyed to help her. He then suggested she try a regular registered and went back to "work". The cashier lead attempted once again but could not figure it out. One of the other cashiers noticed she was having a hard time and walked over to try to help her. The second cashier apologized and asked if we could go get another sim card from the back. When my wife arrived back with the sim card, the cashiers were super friendly and willing to help. Unfortunately, they weren't too sure why they weren't able to ring out the product. We talked it out and we all agreed that electronics might be our go to. When we got to electronics there were two individuals that tried helping us ring the product out. After a couple attempts and accidentally opening up the product, they picked up their walkie talkie and rang for help. As soon the newer employee picked up and asked for the Reid, the other individual told him not to waste his time as Reid never bothers helping anyone one out. The newer employee went against his peers suggestion and asked Reid for help. Reid replied back on the radio to have the customers (us) go to guest service for help. The two electronic employees apologized and said that although we got sent back there, they couldn't do anything else other than to send us to customer service. At this point, we were given all of the Simplemobile sim cards on the floor and asked to follow-up with customer service. As we cut through the baby department to get to customer service, we spotted Reid once again "working". He was pretending to organize the baby wipes but I did not bother to confront him as it was clear that his goal was just to get by. We proceeded to customer service and ran into our lead cashier that tried helping us out in the first place. She gave it another try and then said she would have to talk to her superior (which at this point we had figured out it was Reid). Right before heading towards Reid, there was an employee that over heard her and she commented. She told her, "You should probably contact Natalie because Reid isn't going to help, you should already know that". The head cashier ignored her and went straight to Reid, who was far enough in a corner where we could not see him clearly but he could see what was happening. The lead cashier came back and said, "My store manager said these Simplemobile sim cards were on recall and he will be taking them down". She didn't have to say it but it was clear that he was lying and she was annoyed with his lack of helpfulness. That and I know that recall items are listed on the bottom of the website, one of the reasons I love Target. It was then that I requested the infamous manager's name. Natalie happened to have arrived just in time to hear what I had asked for and all three, including herself, yelled out his name and spelled it out for me. The truth is, I am not likely to stop going to Target. I really enjoy going to the one that is out west from where I live. I very rarely visit the Cicero Target and only do so when it is the middle of the night and I need to get something before the next day. The reason I spend writing this response is because I felt bad for all the employees that were there doing their best to make it work. All of them tried helping us out and all of them seem to know how useless Reid is to the team. This is the first time I run into a team that cares so much and have a leader that could care less, so I applaud the team and hope that it gets taken care of. Whoever reads this, please make sure to reach out to this team and let them know that this issue came up. Please remind them that they have a voice and should not be afraid to point out the bad apples, even when they are in charge. You have to remember, this is a Target... That being said, I have never had a problem with the staff or service here. There is a limited selection of produce, but the grocery section is well stocked and you can fine most run of the mill items. Also, there is a small cafe that serves starbucks coffee, but is not technically a starbucks; not quite sure how that works. It is pretty boss... for a target. read more

This has got to be the saddest, dirtiest Target in the fleet if their corporate stores.... There are little babies crawling around the entrance of the store on their floors along side the spilled slushy, Caramel Frap. and more.... And not to mention the staff's lack of enthusiasm for working and making sure where they work represents the company, versus how they actually live. Mountains of reshop and unwanted items in carts just shoved into the clothing racks; leaking bottles of laundry soap and softener spewing onto the floors in the cleaning isles.... The layout of this Target is what really bothers me. I like to start on one end and work my way through so that I end in the cold/frozen food aisle in one straight shot. I'm usually pressed for time when I shop, and not having to run back and forth helps a lot. That being said, the layout here is incredibly incoherent, so you can't easily do one quick run through. The lack of cashiers also makes a quick trip a long one. All employees I encountered were very friendly, though. In the future, I'll probably just take the extra two minute drive to the Hodgkins Target and save myself time in the long run. read more

They are super rude no one greeted us and on top of that we were watched like hawks even though we only got 3 items that were not even worth stealing (nothing is but you get what i mean) then the guy that were watching us asked for our recipe and no one else's. I believe the lead cashier's think there big stuff. The other day one of these cashiers was taking money out of a drawer and told a customer two ppl in front of me she was the last customer in the line before it closed, when i let her know i was in the line already for more then 5 minutes she said that i had to move to another line without making any eye contact or acknowledgment, i told her that was bullshit......she seem to not care and go about her business....i was so upset i left all my crap in the line and walked out.....I just like target to know that i went to food for less a little farther down in the plaza and bought the identical stuff. i hope you guys like losing my money to bad customer service. read more

What Ruben P said happened exactly to me too. Worst thing about this location is customer service. Unlike other reviewers I have not encountered a mass of wild children. I think one goes to target to escape the ghetto clientele of Walmart and I think this Target is right on point with that as I've never had a problem with any of the customers here. Speaking of Walmart, Target charges higher prices for the same crap quality Chinese stuff but this goes back to my first point you pay more for the atmosphere- less crowds, less ghetto folk, cleaner. Express checkout lanes are almost never open. The lines are always very long and they have just a few cashiers open. There is no automated checkouts like in Walmart. I'm just trying to get razor blades and milk why wait behind someone that's doing their weeks worth of grocery shopping? They hire part time workers so they don't have to pay them benefits, they under staff, and the slight the American worker with low quality Chinese goods? Cheap bastards. read more

I went in for my order and was told by the manager on duty Tyler that no one was in back to get the order to have a sos order done that time and it was not ready. Went to buy valentines treat bags and NO ONE was on the floor to ask for where they were in the seasonal section. I left the store and just a couple minutes later I recieved a notification that my order was ready and it made me upset because I JUST left the store asking for my order that I was told wasn't ready yet. read more

This is literally the trashiest Target I've ever been to. Right away I noticed when walking from my car to the doors that their newly paved parking lot was riddled with trash and litter all over the place. Does no one clean up!? Shortly after, when walking through the doors I noticed the floors were filthy from people tracking in dirt and whatever else is on the bottom of their feet. This floor filth was all over the store as I walked around. Again, does NO ONE CLEAN UP!? I noticed everything was in complete disarray. Shelves looked like they'd been picked over things just strewn about in no particular arrangement. There were random price stickers here and there also stuck to the floor in high traffic areas. And lastly when walking back to my car I noticed even more trash and splattered bottles of drinks I hadn't seen when walking in. I admit I was hardly surprised when I saw a woman changing her child's diaper right there on the trunk of her car. And this was all in the middle of evening. The sun hadn't even set yet. Ugh. Don't worry, I'll never again visit this disgusting store. No need to call me out for my very judgmental assessment of how this Target compares to every other Target I've ever been to. read more

Favorite store! I live by 3 Target stores and though I shop the others because they are newer, this one always seems to have what I need and their employees have far more knowledge and experience than the other stores. Its an older store I remeber it opened in 1994, and i think they remodeled it in 2005, so its trying to keep up with the new stores. Worst Target ever. I was shopping for a few things right before christmas and thought I would give this location another try because it's slightly closer to where I live. The store didn't have what the website said it had in stock. There was ONE employee stocking shelves at the back of the store who reluctantly helped confirm that the store did not have what I was looking for. I hate to comment on the other customers, but, as another reviewer said, there were screaming children! There weren't enough cashiers so checking out was very slow. Total time waster. Worst experience ever with a red-head nappy ghetto looking girl working in the baby girl section folding the clothes. She was talking out loud with another Target worker saying that people were ignorant because they leave a mess everywhere. She's the ignorant for talking about people out loud; if she doesn't want to do what she does there than she shouldn't be working there. I asked her for her name she didn't want to tell me, I asked her to call her manager she didn't want to what kind of people do they have working there.
