I live a few blocks away from this store and it's super convenient for me the store over all is very clean I do find the women in make up helpful but the girls INSIDE STARBUCKS have the worse attitude by far ! They seem to get annoyed your ordering and are always talking about their plans while taking your order . I typically enjoy shopping at this Target location, which is why this experience stood out to me. I came in looking for skincare products in the beauty section and asked an associate for assistance regarding items in the locked glass cases. Unfortunately, the interaction felt cold and dismissive. While I was trying to ask a question and understand the policy, the associate repeatedly spoke over me before I could finish explaining. The communication was also unclear, as I later received different information from another associate at self-checkout regarding how the locked beauty items are supposed to be handled and brought up front. I remained respectful throughout the interaction, but the overall customer service experience left me dissatisfied. I believe attentiveness, clearer communication, and a more welcoming attitude would greatly improve the experience for customers in the beauty department. read more

This is a disgrace of a store, when it comes to Pokémon cards. I've gone twice for drops, yes I've gone early. The first time there were 3 of us left when they ran out. Today I got there early 6:30 store opens at 8. People already there. Target manger said it's limit of 2 per? I don't know what that means. I found out limit 2 of each type of Pokémon. People walking out with 2 bags full. Yes you guessed it nothing again. What happen to limit of 2 period. "Not here, corporate didn't say that to me" from store manager. Even though I had a negative experience at this store with a compromised gift card I purchased here, I still come here to do a lot of my home shopping. Most recently I got myself a lovely pink dress here, since self checkout was closed, I went up to the actual register. My cashier "Mathew", whom I have never dealt with before, he packaged my dress separately, folded it very nicely as if was made of gold! My buying experience was great, I felt like I was shopping at Beverly Hills with the attention Mathew gave to my 30 dollar pink dress. He is an asset to this store and I wanted to compliment him. Came in to get a few things, I really like their laundry detergant. Aside from that, the service was lacking. The selection was ok. I went to get some bread, noticed the bottom right shelf of the bread, was a few weeks old and started to develop mold on it. I guess they aren't checking the the bread there? Not sure. I am a proud Compton native and resident. I prefer to shop in my community. Friday, January 24 while shopping I was racially profiled and also harassed. After my horrible shopping experience, a target employee apologized and also informed me that I was being watched from the time I entered the store. I was even questioned about the bags that I purchased for .10 I feel very sorry for the African American employees that have to take orders from A WHITE MANAGER WHO DEMAND THEM TO FOLLOW CUSTOMERS TO BE CERTAIN THET THEY ARE NOT STEALING. Just left target and the check out lanes were long. Went to self checkout with my young daughters and I notice the lady at check out creeping by very close just staring at my cart. Made me feel uncomfortable and just kept staring at our cart and asked if we scanned everything. Then kept staring at my cart and said that self checkout is ten or less and to read the signs next time ( we only had 15 items). Maybe open more checkout lanes so self checkout isn't the only reasonable option to leave quicker. read more

I love Target BUT. This Compton one socks. the fitting room was closed at 6 pm!! One one person there that had left to do something else. And this rude girl in the picture said it was closed, then I asked another worker and he said the fitting room person was busy. Then I asked again and they final send someone. This is probably the most "Walmart" Target I've ever been to. There is never a time when it's clean... the carts are a premium to find on a good day, and don't even let me get started on any of the clothing aisles. There's always a huge mess left and right, with clothing on the floors. I understand that workers can't keep up with dirty customers, but in this location it's almost as if they've given up. Honestly, if you can, avoid this location, or just go to Walmart.... there's really nothing Target about this store other than the name. read more

SO MUCH BETTER THEN WALMART.... Well in my opinion I think so. What can I say about Target that we all don't know already. Employees are always so nice and go out of their way to help you with anything. Well at least at this particular one. I come here for all my household and personal needs they're always stocked on everything and it's always a in and out with the quickness. Even in a pandemic lines move quick. There online and pick up at store is easy and convenient. Everything is always so organized and clean that is one of the main differences between a Target and a Walmart. Target is excellent when it comes to their clean up maintenance even the restrooms are clean which is a plus. Shelves are so nice and neat everything is in order. I love that they have top designers doing their clothes down to their pots and pans. I will say prices are a slight higher than Walmart but I'd rather go somewhere where it's cleaner and that you get way better customer service. As always thanks for reading. I felt very comfortable at this location. Clean and well organized. Products were well stocked and there were plenty of lines open at the registers. Never seen a capital one atm before but hey, there's a first time for everything. The restrooms were pretty clean. I would say the floor would need attention often due to the hand dryer. Most leave their hands dripping as they walk over to it. Our cashier Shawnette was sweet and patient. My sister's debit card was giving her trouble but she helped her through it. Since having my two little ones I mostly do curbside pickup. Other than that, the times I have walked in here I leave with more than what I expect. However the appearance of the store cannot compare to the Norwalk-Firestone location. This place is usually a mess, people leave their empty Starbucks cups on the mostly empty shelves. There are more clothes and shoes on the floor then on the racks or shelves and it smells bad in there too. They don't have the quality baby gear I prefer like the Manhattan Beach or Norwalk locations. They are trying but still has room for improvement. read more

I was told to go straight to the fitting room to claim it. Parked. Walked straight to the fitting room as instructed. I told the counter lady I was sent from another location to pick up a specific item here. She had it good and ready to go in a cart. And since there wasn't a crowd, paying up was a breeze. Now everyone knows, the "bullseye" is the devil! Lol. I mean, I tell my pocket book all of the time, "We are only coming in here to get 2 items. So please don't lead me to the children's and women clothing section or the natural hair care section!" But a $20 or so trip turns into almost $100 practically every time. This is my favorite Target. It's clean, the cashiers are friendly and when there are long lines, the cashiers are usually quick and keep conversations to a minimal. Reason i prefer this Target from all the others is that they have an ENTIRE aisle dedicated to natural hair. I'm not a 'product junkie', but if I were, coming to this Target would be all bad. You go to some Targets and they have just half of a shelf with natural hair care products and/or a display at the end of the aisle. But again, not at this Target- an entire aisle, end display, and all the shelves filled. Hmm, could this be because we are in the CPT?! Yep, great way to market, and it makes it easy for me to get everything I need as opposed to going to several stores to find the products. So if you are a naturalist, I would advise that you only come here with cash and not a debit card and/or credit card because I promise you you will go product crazy. I used the drive up service today. I've used this etc etc countless times and never had a problem. Today when I got home I realized that I was missing three items. I called the store at 6:18-6:20pm. The person who answered the phone started off very nice and helpful. (But refused to give me her name) She was able to locate the items and told me to come in tomorrow and pick them up. I told her that I don't live in the area and that I am extremely uncomfortable with coming in the store. She explained that there was nothing she could do for me. I told her again that I was uncomfortable and that I could not come tomorrow. Again she said she could not do any else for me. I am very afraid of Covid and wanted to know if I could come first thing Saturday morning, she said no. I told her I would call another manager and get help. This morning I went shopping at Target in Compton. They didn't have a hair product I use Miss Jessie Pillow curl. The nice customer representative asked me did I find everything I was looking for? I said, no. I told her about the the hair product. She said, "would you like me to call another Target to see if they have it?" I replied, "yes." The north Carson store had it. She asked me how many did I want, and they will be on hold at the customer service area. Shortly after, I picked the items at the Carson store.
