I just have to applaud the target associates during this pandemic. Every time I went in I felt welcomed and not shunned for "going out" when there was the shelter in place order. We all need things, day to day, and the employees at Target was still happy as ever! I haven't met a rude associate at this target, everyone always seems to be in just a good mood. They even made customers excited that Starbucks was back open. :) Surprisingly their shelf's were always stocked with what I needed. I am so Pissed. I live out In Bremerton and decided to go to the Gig Harbor Target. Well I get home and never got given my baby shower bag I bought along with other items. After I paid the lady handed me my plastic bag of things and I assumed the baby shower bag I bought was in there. I get home and it wasn't even in there. I called and they said either way I'd have to come back into the store they couldn't do anything for me. What a JOKE. The customer service guy Kyle or whatever his name was didn't even care lol. The girl that checked me out had long brown hair and some paper COVID mask on. Get it together lady. Honestly 2/10 experience. Ruined the rest of my night. Will not be returning to this store. I'd give zero stars if I could. I used to go to their optical section since there were very limited optometrists in Gig Harbor for a while and the last time I went in the doctor got pissed I wore my contacts to the follow up appointment (like she asked me to, by the way - I even wrote it down in my notes - apparently "she meant bring them, not wear them, to the appointment) but then the receptionist afterwards said I was not going to be rescheduled since "nothing soon" was open. As someone with severe anxiety I am usually overly nice out of fear during appointments. I feel like that is an odd statement though, since obviously there had to be something, anything, that was open. I ended up leaving in TEARS from an anxiety attack because of how awful they were being. Recently I just had some delivery person or processing plant worker steal my face cream THROUGH the packaging. I know they did because the tear on the packaging (including the face lotion's packaging) matches exactly how large the hole is, and it's a very deliberate tear. When I went to go deal with it through Target, however, now my "account can't be found". Even my boyfriend's account "can't be found" which I know is BS because we use his number every time we go to Target. It took me half an hour to even find an online chat for customer service. There's no email for contacting their customer service department. Overall, Target is a big fat YUCK. I will never be shopping here ever again - online or in store. Was already boycotting because of their terrible treatment of and from employees but now I will for sure never go back. Today at Target, the spiral notebooks had "clearance 50% off" I got to the register and they rang up regular price, Mathew was rude and told me they were already on sale, not 50% more, I explained what the sign said, he didn't care what I had to say, and didn't talk to me the rest of my transaction! read more

Went in looking for basic AV cables the website said they had. That was a lie. No RCA cables to be found. Asked for help from random associate and the person they summoned arrived ten minutes later and didn't know anything about cables. They were 'just covering' and couldn't help me or the other guy that there that was searching for a 3.5mm Y splitter. They asked me what they needed to type into their phone to search for it. =/ Such a waste of time. Stopped in after dinner at Anthony's. We realized we didn't have anything to wear to the game the next day. This was the perfect spot for shirts on sale considering we were not really around a mall. I am giving a 3 Star because my Sister in law, and I had to use the rest room upon walking in because we had some drinks at dinner...well I typically do not write about rest rooms on yelp, but this one was gross. It was very dirty, and smelled of a dirty bucks. The trash was over flowing, and made me wonder when, and if they checked the cleanliness of the restroom very often. I really wanted to give a lower rating, but I was excited to have found our shirts at such a great deal, and the rest of the store was okay. I liked the layout. I hope they don't typically have an issue over cleanliness, maybe it was just a fluke thing on the day I was there. Who knows. read more

I'd give zero stars if were an option. My goodness this store is a total disgrace. Every dept was messy and picked over. Huge inventory trolleys were crowding the aisles making it hard to push a cart around. The Starbucks got my order wrong and fixed it nicely. All the while a heavy-set middle aged man leered at my 14yr old daughter and proceeded to follow us around the store. He even took his cart into the feminine napkin aisle while we were looking at items. I physically blocked her from view at check out where he was one lane over staring again. Disgusting. The final insult was Jonothan at checkout. He literally "chucked" every item into our reusable bags without any regard. I stopped him and had to re bag each item and fold the clothes we were purchasing. Making sure to separate them from the milk we were buying too. When I was using my payment method he barked at me about using the lower area to tap. Then handed me a $5 gift card and the receipt. His attitude was so rude and unprofessional. I told him very clearly his service was terrible. I informed a couple of managers on my way out but won't go back. What a shame since it used to be kind of sleek and nice at this location. Now it feels like it's been robbed and everyone hates being there. Plus bold perverts now too. Never again. read more

In a misguided attempt to save a buck, The Gig Harbor, WA Target has stopped the overnight stocking (forcing those employees to take a 50¢ an hour pay CUT). The result of this? Ghetto Target. Shelves are empty. Signs with item pricing are not posted. Boxes overflowing with goods are lined up blocking nearly every already tiny aisle. Plenty of employees around, but their focus is getting those boxes unloaded, but more boxes keep coming don't they? The last time I shopped there, might actually be the last time. I couldn't get to more than half of what I needed. Target is making the much aligned Walmart look very very good. read more

David the front end store manager did not match its own target online / cartwheel prices tonight. He stated unfortunately this price match can not be honored. David had said that we could do it as a in store pickup but then stated that it won't be available for pickup till the next day even when we had the items in our hands. Confused!! Also the exterior light in the parking lot of this store has been out since November! read more

The produce is always old and they usually don't have what you really want. But the employees are always friendly and try to be helpful.

This store could easily have 5 stars if it wasn't for the electronics department. Holy Moses, they're the worst electronics dept. of any store I've ever been in. They refuse to help people, are constantly using their phones, and standing around in their little cashier booth. I've never been in this Target and gotten help from anyone in electronics. Avoid at all costs. Other than that, this is a pretty good store. The pharmacy is top notch. The pharmacists on hand are super friendly and always willing to explain things. Cashiers are okay friendly, nothing to complain about. Other than electronics, this store is good to shop in. read more

We used to drive to this location from Tacoma specifically because it is one of the best. On top of being a newer location, they have a nice fresh grocery that takes up one side of the store. This location is clean, bright, and well-stocked and it's always nice to shop there. The employees are pretty standard (friendly enough), and the check-out lines are never too long. I'm glad this is our local Target since it's also my favorite! read more

This is a great example of why I love Target. It has a decent sized parking lot, a clean store, and well lit. The items are organized and usually where they belong. Staff are always willing to help when you can't find an item. They always have what we need, and often may things we don't need! Close to a grocery store, Costco, Home Depot, etc for all of your household needs. read more

Just moved to the area. Most employees have been friendly, however, last night the customer service girl was terrible. She was on the phone, so another employee asked to help. She customer service girl interrupted the employee I was talking to a couple of times. I asked him to please notify the manager about my frustration with their parking lot - 1/3 of the lot was EMPTY in front of the store. These spots were for handicap (which I understand) and LOTS of special spots for folks that phone in their orders. NONE of these were in use, which is what their lot is often like. So 2/3 of the lot was full of customers that came in to the store, but had to walk past all the empty spaces. These are the customers you want to respect and thank with premium parking. They are the ones that walk in to your store, buy the impulse items, and spend time going up and down your aisle - NOT the ones they have special parking spaces for. I doubt either employee passed on my concern. I tried to find an email for this store to contact them, but they don't list one. read more

So I use to say I love target but now not so much. Very disappointed in this company. I have made a registry with them months ago. I had gotten a gift from target had to return cause I had gotten two of the same item. I returned it they gave me $26.99 back for it but they couldn't find in there system. I had returned in to the one in Cali in Irvine. Went back home to WA and found the same item I had returned and the price was different. It was $49.99 . Tried to get the money back but they wouldn't let me since I didn't have the card with me that my friend bought in Cali for me . This is absolutely ridiculous. I have spent so much money at this place I feel like after this situation it's hard to say I want to keep buying stuff for my baby here and to remove my registry. It's really upsetting that they would call me a fraud. I'm not trying to steal money I just would like to work through this and still be able to continue buy things for my new baby. read more

This location is well stocked and well organized. Thank. God. Other Targets I have been to aren't as tidy as this one. The Bullseye's Playground (dollar spot) is amazing here, which is one of my favorite spots in Target! It is so clean and well kept, which makes me feel more inclined to return. I happened to lose my wallet, by it falling out of my pocket, and the customer service did such a great job of finding it and being so patient with me! I went in today to pick up a few things at the Target in Gig Harbor and had the pleasure of meeting Susan, who works in the cosmetics department. Yes, the store has a beauty consultant and she is WONDERFUL. It was kind of busy, but Susan took her time to help me choose a foundation that matched my skin perfectly. I normally shop the Mac counter in Nordstrom, but I've never been matched so perfectly. Susan used a little gadget provided by the No. 7 company to match my skin to the foundation I eventually bought. She's fun and self-deprecating and definitely an expert. She's efficient and knowledgeable. She even took the time to show me how Target's Cartwheel app works and saved me an additional $20 on my few purchases. What a gal! Want to give a big Thanks! to Christina in the customer service area. She really provided exceptional service even using her own cell phone to do several price match's on an electronics item for me. I would have expected most employees of customer service to tell me, no, the sale price at this other store is over, too bad. But Christina went beyond that by calling several other places to check for me, places I didn't even know about! It saved me $50.00. She even stayed past the start of her break, and she probably really needed to get off her feet for a minute, because she was pregnant!! The communication and customer service with the red card is horrible. I have had the card since 2010 and have spent thousands on my card. I'm the middle of my divorce and switching accounts, you closed my card due to a transaction being returned. I paid the fee and made it right. I Apologized for the miscommunication. You canceled my card for good without even one opportunity to try again. This is beyond disappointed since I had never had any issues before this isolated incident. I have experience numerous card issues, in store issues, online shopping issues to just name a few and I always went back because of my red card savings. Since I no longer have the card I will be taking my business elsewhere. I can get the same items on amazon and I don't have to worry about an in person or over the phone customer service issue for the same price or lower. I have had nothing but problems at the gig harbor target. On today's shopping trip, I'd texted BEAUTY To get the today only special 20 % off beauty and personal care items. I bought 9 items. I got 10% off one item and nothing off the others. When I gave the clerk three $5 gift cards as partial payment, one only registered $4.28 and she told me the others were blank. She called over a supervisor who took the cards and wouldn't give them back. I also had cartwheels and didn't get the cartwheel deal on two of the items. It's 15 miles from my house and now I have to spend more gas money to go back to the store after they cheated me out of almost $20.00. I don't think I will ever go back to this store again after I return the items. read more
