I like Big Lots and I can not lie! You others can't deny! When you walk in and a deal stands out, you can't not look! I suck at rhyming. But I do like the deals you can get at Big Lots on every day items, like garbage bags, cleaning supplies and the like. I'm not so cheap to buy food items from them, but they do have some great deals on decorations, home decor, and outdoor furniture. The stock does seem to be random, but nothing seems to be expired or rotting in here. I even have purchased a bagless vacuum for under $25! And the vacuum really sucks in the good way! Being the corner (in the angle of the L) of an L-shaped strip mall, it is much larger on the inside than what it appears to be on the outside (that's what she said, hehehehe). It is neat and clean, and there are no huge piles of stock blocking the aisles, which is great. Yes, the customer service does leave something to be desired, but I am so sure that none of these employees graduated from the local etiquette school. Be nice to them, they can get flustered like we all can. I have actually had someone ask if I can be helped, but not in that in your face overwhelming manner. That is a good thing.

The Sales Person there was BEYOND sweet! And oh SO helpful!! It was literally a joy walking around the store! How many places can you go shopping and feel happier just by being there and talking with a total stranger!? It was a bright spot in a long, difficult day of looking for a dress. I didn't find the dress, but I left with the cutest shirt ever. And it was on sale!! Win - Win!! I'll certainly return and I'd highly recommend this little gem!

Each piece is limited to very few so you know not everyone will be running around in the same outfit you have! I fell for quite a few pieces including some summery maxis, peasant tops and long cardis with interesting hemlines. I wound up purchasing a classic navy and white stripped off the shoulder pantsuits ($69), the EXACT style I have been on the hunt for unsuccessfully until hitting up Armoire, and an adorable marble clutch with brush gold clasp ($38) large enough to hold my massive phone which I had yet to find anywhere after YEARS of looking!! I was also able to use 10% off with my Yelp check in! Thrilled!! A friend I was shopping with snagged a gorgeous beaded evening gown to wear to our friend's wedding for just $65 right off the sale rack! Unreal! No doubt will I be hitting up Armoire when I'm in town again! Soooo worth the journey down to Magazine Street. Take the street car!! Sales staff was incredibly helpful and kind! Store was well stocked and well merchandised by style too. Their buyer/owner should be commended for the collection they have going on here! Accessories and select home decor items were wonderful also! What a fab find! *Follow them on Instagram and shop their racks online!

When I was finished shopping I got in line where I waited for almost a half an hour because they only had two cashier's working on a Saturday afternoon. This is the first epic failure of the day. when I left the store I ran several other errands so it was a few hours before I realized that the sunglassses Inlayed for were not in any of the bags the cashier handed me, even though I saw her ring them up. The cashier was working very hard and still had somewhat of a pleasant attitude. I think she thoughtfully set the glasses aside so they wouldn't get smashed which I appreciate, they just didn't make the trip back over the counter. In a previous world, the glasses would have been sitting there with my name on them and an apology from a manager that this happened. Unfortunately not at this store, also now would be a good time to mention this is the fourth time this has happened to me. When I returned rot he store later that evening he glasses were sitting back there but I brought the wrong receipt. The so-called manager was not only very unapologetic she was belligerent and rude. I shook this off and returned the next morning with the correct receipt, again there were only two cashhiers working and the line was very long, plus I had already waited in line and paid for these glasses and at this point Marshalls was basically hijacking my personal oroeprty. I got out my phone and called the store and asked to speak the manager. I asked her to for. to the front of the store and retrieve my glasses so I didn't have to wait in line. She again was very belligerent, told me I had to wait in line again to get my glasses and kept repeating over and over that the fact that I had to return to the store to retrieve items that I had already paid for "wasn't her problem." I find it hard to believe that at a time when big box stores are dropping. like flies that Marshalls would allow an individual. who has NO BUSINESS whatsoever working in any customer service related field s the helm. If she is truly the GM of this store I would be surprised. If anyone from the corporate office is reading. these review I would urge you to examine any footage of this incident, you will be appalled.

I was sent a pair of pants to consider in a UK size 4, BUT UAL tag was NOT labeled as UK. It simply said "4" and was the only visible size on the garment photo, leading both myself (and I'm assuming the associate who was only sending options she believed in my range) to believe it was a size 4 US. Pants were obviously several sizes too small after size conversion. I could not wear them upon arrival. Manager refused to allow me to return them for anything other than store credit even after my explaining entire situation and sending screenshots of conversation and recalling phone conversations that were not on text. She took one screenshot out of context as "proof" that I had size information. I had a waist and inseam measurement on the pants, which in no way defines the entire fit of the pant as a whole. The waist fit me as did the length, however they were bulging tight in the legs and did not fit as they should have had they been a US size 4. She ignored dozens of other texts and conversations that made it clear that I was looking specifically at a US size range and the associate was understanding and helping me with that. Manager also told me "our customers should just know" what brands require size conversions and which do not, even though nowhere on the UAL tag did it say "UK" 4, so I would have known to make the conversion. Overall, associate was wonderful and doing her best to be helpful. But mistakes do happen and it seems unfair to penalize a customer for a sizing error that her UAL staff also made (non-intentionally). Manager was incredibly condescending and difficult to deal with. UAL has great prices and pieces, but you better hope you never have an issue with anything because there is a huge unwillingness to resolve or be anything other than stubborn and defensive over something that should be a very simple refund for a misunderstanding in which UAL absolutely shared blame. based off of conversations with an associate knowing my desired size range and these subsequent photos, I reasonably assumed and relied on UAL's staff and tag to believe that these were my correct US size.

I don't usually venture to…read morethe FQ, but had to feed my vintage clothing obsession, knowing that this shop is associated with New Orleans' beloved Trashy Diva brand. This place was an absolute treasure trove of beautiful clothing and accessories. Y'all, this is not your average "Talbot's from the 90's" stock that many "vintage" stores contain (and yes I understand that 90's qualifies as vintage these days!) This is the place to go for a show-stopping special occasion dress from the 1940s, with intact jeweled buttons and a peplum detail at the waist. Or a flowing silk robe from the 1920s with a bold print of fans and florals. Or a beautifully carved sweater clip to accompany the fur-collared cashmere from 1950s. You get the picture! Now, this shop will have a higher price point than your average dig-through-the-rack vintage, because literally every piece is a gem. That said, the pricing is incredibly fair for what you are purchasing! I will treasure the pieces I bought from my visit last weekend, and can't wait to return! I also want to add that the shop employee Kim was just top notch! She was knowledgeable of each item and a joy to talk to. This place is a MUST VISIT for any vintage lover!!

So a little pressed but I figure how hard could it be to find something to wear. After visits to Target, Party City, and a good nights sleep I decide to try Rainbow. So I pull into the parking lot and I'm drawn to the store next to my intended destination--it's was Rio. There were things on the walk outside the store and my curiosity drew me inside. This was a complete surprise. There were so many different things, and shoes. The SHOES. If you aren't trying to make a statement or have eyes on you, this is not your store. But if you are trying to turn heads and your confident and comfortable in your skin this is a fun place to experience. The staff was super helpful and knew off the top of their heads the products in their inventory. I said '90s theme and they immediately showed me a Jean jacket with the patches. There was an outfit that looks like cross colors from back in the day. There was a Brittany Spears hit me baby one more time set. I settled on a brightly colored hooded crop top with matching bottoms. Then I choose a pair of "fly" or "dope" yellow sneakers and I was ready! Rio III got me all together for the '90s party and my ensemble was a hit! Thanks Rio.
