I've officially spent a record-breaking time at Target: Two and a half hours. I usually make the I10 & Sawyer Street location my spot, but I think the San Felipe store is actually closer to me. AND, there seemed to be less people and bebe's kids "all up in my way." And they're clothing section is in a much more orderly fashion. I think I'm gonna make this one my new spot. I spent so much time in here, got all the things I needed - or thought I needed - including a 16-piece tableware set that I've been eying for months. I was also on the hunt for baby shower gifts. Target's registry is awesome in that you can filter the gift items in order of price, whether it's offered in-store or online only. I was able to weed out online items and strictly focus on what they had available in store - and they have all the items listed on the aisle they're located! Talk about a time-saver. (Er, well, I still spent way too much time in here, but that's my fault.) That being sad, their return policy SUCKS. You can only return/exchange up to two receipt-less items per year That creates a complete nightmare for moms-to-be and newlyweds needing to return/exchange gifts. read more

This is one of the stores nestled down the street from the busy San Felipe Road stepping off of the traffic jammed 610 loop. You will not be able to see it until you drive about a block East bound (toward downtown) and then it will pop up. This is one of the better stores for some reason as far as cleanliness and the orderly placed items on the shelves. Finding a cashier and "associate department" help can be of a hit and miss depending on the time of day that you get here so in other words it's like rolling a pair of dice (die properly). You will NEVER have a problem finding parking here not even on the Christmas holidays surprisingly. The bad elements? I think they have all been pied pipered to stay at the farther urban neighborhoods or something, thank god they havn't found this place yet. Definitely not the newest, largest, or "Super"-est Target in town by any stretch of the truth. I like it because the clientele, service, and layout are nice here. Reminds me a lot of being at home. Much nicer service than the one just west of this a few miles. I agree with Farrah - it's easier to kill time at this Target than some of the others. read more

A disappointing experience yet still impressed with the customer service I received. I bought a new 58" TV and the gentleman brought it to my car and helped me squeeze it in. Once I got it home and unboxed though, I noticed the screen was busted. The box was still in perfect condition so I imagine it was sold like that unknowingly. However I was worried that I would be hassled when trying to get a refund. I was mistaken. They again helped me take it out of my car, and bring it to customer service. I showed the customer service Rep photos of the busted screen and my receipt and was refunded CASH on the spot. I was expecting either a complete return refusal, or store credit. I will be back in the coming days to buy it again when I have a more comfortably sized car to transport such a large box. Very impressed with the service I received. Thankyou, Target. read more

I'd much rather shop here than Wal-Mart for sure. Target can't beat wally worlds prices on some items but on most they are competitive and I would much rather give my business to them. The lines are normally shorter, move faster and things for the home are usually easier to find. Can't say too much about it. It's just another grocery/department store like all the rest. This store is operating a scam with their online order and pickup .They supposedly get your order ready, charge your credit card and will take it out to you when you get there. You place the order at least 2 hours ahead of time. You notify the store when you are on your way and then notice them when you actually get there. I live across the street from the store and got there within 10 minutes. I get there, I announced, "I"m here"- waiting outside for another 5 to 10 minutes- no one comes out- Finally go inside and am informed the order was cancelled because I was late picking up the order!!!! They then advise my credit card will be credited with the amount charged in 7 DAYS!!! Like a bank, they get to keep my $$$ for 7 days and together with all other customers they do this to, make a fortune at everyone's expense- DO NOT EVER ORDER OLINE utilizing this service (SCAM) read more

I love target and this one is beautiful but they are running all the scams! I've been several times over the past few weeks while working here and every time I try to buy something on sale or clearance it rings up at full price. When I tell them it's on sale they just say "oh I'll take it off" and when I say no I want the sale price the refuse to price check. I'm betting there's a return for sale price going on with all the folks not paying attention. When I brought it to the customer services desk they said "oh sorry the signs are probably wrong". Nope. Love this store! I mainly shop for clothes and groceries here. What I love about the clothes is that they have a HUGE selection of *cotton* clothes! (It's harder to find these days.) My favorite brands are Universal Thread (a Target brand, I believe) and Wild Fable. They have tons of basics (tanks, t-shirts, shorts, leggings, etc.) in all sorts of beautiful colors. And prices are great! Esp. when they run sales. Returns are fast and super easy, esp. with the return counter right at the front of the store. And the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I went looking for a pair of shorts once, couldn't find them, and the girl from the fitting room went through department after department until I hear her call out, "I found them!" Who does that?! She just would not give up. So sweet and much appreciated. (And I bought 5 pairs, lol.) I appreciate that they have security at the front door inside and out. And a friend staff member to greet you when you walk in and again when you leave - nice touch! 5 stars for Target!! read more

I'm an idiot. I meant to order for drive-up and instead chose pick-up. Normally wouldn't be a big deal but, with all the safety measures in place, I'm not comfortable bringing my two babies into a store (and I didn't have the stroller in the van). I'm a frequent shopper of Target & one of the locations I shop at is this Target on San Felipe in the Galleria area. It's stays pretty busy & with its fair share of employees it stays pretty neat & clean. On busy days like most stores they'll be a line back up or two or maybe the restrooms need more tissue but that's pretty standard in a high traffic place such as Target in this location. I know the store manager he's a pretty cool guy & is strictly about business overall. There's a few other other team members and ETL's I think are pretty amazing as well. No matter what there doing if you have a question they will stop what there doing and help you. They have a pharmacy at this target and a grocery dept it's not a super target but what they do have is more than enough. The electronics dept is pretty nice with the new makeover the dept just went through and I love it! Around this year because the decorations are beautiful on display I wish I could take them all lol. The employees are very helpful and some may think that by cashiers asking every customer if they want a red card is a little overwhelming honestly there really trying to save customers money. I get it it's there job. I will continue to shop at this store and I hope this review was very helpful. Have a great day:) read more

As soon as I walked in, I could not find a single cart or container to put my items in. I proceeded to grab my items, looking for carts on the way where they are supposed to be re-stacked, but couldn't find a thing. I gathered my items and carried them around like I was carrying laundry from the dryer to the closet with employees just walking by not seeming to notice I was looking for a cart. If this wasn't bad enough, it was 9:15 and they had closed the self checkout line. There were a lot of customers in the store and probably 50-75 waiting in line with 3 total cashiers who couldn't seem to care less the lines were wrapping around the building. I stood in a target line for 20 minutes holding my items like laundry before we finally got to checkout. The guy was a snail checking out and couldn't be bothered. If you are going to for whatever reason close 4 self checkout registers, have more than 3 slow cashiers open for a store of this volume. Horrible experience. read more

This Target is right behind my apartments and I love it. It is always clean and organized. The service has always been great. I went today to return a pair of shorts, I changed my mind about, but forgot my card at home. Thankfully, they only needed the reciept to send American Express the refund! I was so happy not to have to go home to pick up the card! What else can I say? This store is definitely worth visiting. Get this: The employees actually want to help you find stuff!! unheard of! I paid with a large bill and my check-out girl waved over her manager (Chris) and asked him for more paper money. When she received it, she handed me my change and I noticed she had given me ten dollars too much. I made her aware of this with Chris the manager standing right there!!!! ...and he just walked away. I love Target & I go so often that I know the standard Target store layouts pretty well. But I have beef with this one. The toothpaste & toothbrush section shares an aisle with items that are non-oral care related. Several aisles down, the floss & other oral-care items (i.e. Orajel, tongue-scrapers) share an aisle with hair products or something. Seems like someone needs to go back and review Store Layout 101. read more

I am addicted to shopping at Target and will continue to be a customer. That being said.. This location frustrates me to no end!! There are never enough registers open. I have made it a habit to head straight to the customer service counter (where exchanges are made, etc.) and check out there, since I normally have less than 10 items. Why would you build so many registers if you never open them all? The place is always packed in the evenings and the lines are way too long!! read more

My experience is always good at Target, it is my secret lover. I come here when I need to get away and relax, spend a couple of hours just perusing the store. Can never leave without spending at least $50. I just know that I can NEVER bring the boyfriend here with me ever again! He was soooo impatient, he just didn't understand the relationship that Target and I share. Men! Side note: I totally forget about this location a lot. I'm not really a fan of mega-stores... but the lure of cheap goods gets me coming back... and in the war of Target v. Walmart I choose Target. Kelly S. is most definitely a big fan of Target and this location, conveniently located near to us has us swinging by often for some random good that we're looking to buy on the cheap--whether it is home furnishings (thanks for the 50% off patio set), pet goods (super cheap bulk cat food), or even occasionally beer, target is a pretty convenient store. So why lose the stars? Again, not a huge mega store fan... so there goes one star. The second star? The service people here are usually pretty darn grouchy. Checking out at this particular Target will often allow you to find out that the cashier is pissed off at the manager and another employee who are conspiring against her by giving her the crappy shifts... well then... you have a nice day! read more

Ok I don't know one person who doesn't love Target and if they don't, they have issues. This Target is the closest Target to me and I feel like it's the most organized out of the ones I have gone to. It's not a particularly busy one so there are always plenty of parking and is cleaned and well organized. I also think that it has the best selection of sizes and clothes. I also like the new Grocery section of the store which as a decent amount of produce and meat for those little grocery trips. The check out lines are never long and move fairly quickly. With my Red Card that gives 5% back, the prices are great and I don't have to deal with the chaos at Walmart. read more

I like this Target. It feels larger than most and it has an awesome grocery section. I don't do my regular food shopping here, but if I pop in on a Sunday for something else it's nice to pick up milk or bananas or something like that. Perfect location right of I 610 on San Felipe, easy to get to from many areas of town. Parking lot is HUGE and never a problem. My one complaint is that the never have enough cashiers so you usually have to wait in line a bit. This doesn't really bother me, though, as I love looking at the magazine racks. read more

Came here for an online order pickup. 12/13 items were not available (even though I ended up seeing some of the out of stock items on the floor). When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the inaccuracy and inconvenience, the "guest service" associate (who worked the evening shift on 7/13) stated "I have nothing to do with online". I never implied she did? What a dismissive and inappropriate response to a customer's very valid frustration and complaint. Then, I asked could she help me confirm the items were at the other location before I submitted a reorder and she refused. Said I had "too many items" but could give me the other locations number. I can do that! It wasn't busy. And yet she didn't bother to look on the device, ask if there were any key items that were a necessity, nothing. Just "I have nothing to do with that" and a smug "I don't feel like dealing with this" demeanor. I worked at Target 3 years and would never ever treat a customer with a valid concern like this. I wasn't being unreasonable. To say you have 12 items and you do not is ridiculous and whether it is her fault or not, a business should have accurate information! That is absolutely a store problem for your inventory to not match actuality. But like I said, I found some of the items. Which is giving the impression of staff laziness. Save your time and do online orders at another location. The Galleria location is nice but employees could use training and the online order system is a waste of time. read more

I love Target. It's got everything I need and tons of stuff I don't. The grocery section has been slightly expanded, with more fresh produce, dairy, even meats. This particular Target is always clean. There's ALWAYS staff around when you need them, and there are almost never any lines when you're ready to check out. Parking isn't terrible, but if you're one of those who doesn't like to walk too far, you won't like their parking setup. read more

I absolutely love target! The staff is always friendly at this location and you can always find everything you need and more ! They have a great selection of wines and also the cutest clothes. This isn't one of the bigger stores but it still carries a lot of items. They have a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks so I usually come for breakfast coffee or lunch and do some small shopping before going back to work. read more

This is an old school target. So it's fairly small and the layout is slightly different from the newer targets. Location is convenient if you are in the Galleria area but otherwise not much to go see. At least, there's a traffic light that helps you get in and out on Felipe fairly easily. read more

This Target is clean, organized & kept stocked for the most part. Their employees are friendly & have never given me a problem. Remember it's Target not walmart so behave yourselves when shopping here. In my personal experience I've found this target to be the most crowded in the morning time than at any other time during the day. In 2010 I used to live in the apartments right next to Target (4444 westhiemer rd) so it was my go-to spot for groceries so that's actually how I can attest to that. They have a small starbucks inside, literally right before you reach Target's small deli (if you will). It great for when you have to get some shopping done in the morning time and haven't the time to make a small stop, even a drive-thru type stop. Although an actual (drive-thru-less) starbucks can be found just across the street from Target, the convenience of having one there actually surpasses an average shoppers expectation. Their "deli" or cafeteria area is usually decently kept, especially seeing as how a lot of people actually catch a quick bite there. I know there's been several times when I do morning shopping & I'll get a quick bite & then a coffee, it's usually due to the fact that I rather not travel back & forth so early in the day. (This was me back in 2010 on my off days but I'm actually a morning person) -Regardless, it works for those types of mornings. :D read more

This a good, hidden Target location. I come here during my lunch breaks and, so far, I haven't had any bad experiences. I also came here for Black Friday last year and they passed out Starbucks coffee in little cups for free while we waited in line in the cold. It is a smaller Target, but they usually have what I'm looking for. I buy a lot of markers, pens, and stationary and they have a reasonable selection. I have also purchased items for my home. Since this is a smaller Target, you won't have a wide selection of grocery items. The traffic can be a little tough in this area, but that is to be expected anywhere near the Galleria. If you're in the area, I would suggest dropping by this location! read more
