My opinion of the pharmacy continues to decline each time I use it. I can't wait for the Walgreens to open!

Most of the furniture is a but more formal and dated in style but it depends on what you are looking for. I was looking for some living room furniture, I didn't mind if it was gently used, I just wanted something that was in good shape for a fair price. When you shop at a consignment shop you expect to find reasonable prices but that's not the case here. I was surprised to see that the majority of the furniture is pretty expensive, especially for used furniture, so don't expect to get any deals here. Her prices are not much different than what you could find elsewhere except that you'd likely find better quality new furniture for the same or similar price. And in some cases for a little less. I didn't really shop around as much as I should have and that was my mistake. The shop owner was not very warm or friendly. That should have been my first indication to turn around and leave but I thought maybe she was just having an off day or something so I just continued browsing. I noticed a matching love seat and sofa set in the back of the store. They appeared to be in good shape and I liked the color and style so I asked the shop owner what the price was for the set. She quoted me just a little under a thousand for both. That should have been my second indication to leave, and yet for some foolish reason that I will never understand, I didn't. But I will readily admit that this was kind of an impulse buy for me. I had recently dealt with the loss of my husband and decided to treat myself to something new (to me) and different because I just needed a change. I completely fault myself for not taking a closer look at the quality of the furniture, or lack there of. The shop owner told me they were priced just a little above what she paid for them so I didn't want to start haggling, although in hind sight now I wish I would have because the furniture isn't worth anywhere near what I paid for it, but at the time I wanted to be fair because I figured she had to make a living too, right? *sigh* I came back the following day and purchased the furniture. It wasn't long before I realized I had made a huge mistake and wasted my time and money. The furniture is very cheaply made. The fabric snags easily and puckers, the back cushions are lumpy and the seat cushions slide around constantly. All of which is hard to see or notice when it hasn't seen much use and you only get to sit on it for ten minutes in a store. I take good care of my things so I was expecting to be able to enjoy the furniture for years to come but I quickly realized that's not going to be the case this time. I am so disappointed. Unfortunately I can't afford to replace it right now so I'm stuck with it for a while and I just hope that it will last for at least a few years while I save some money to buy something of better quality. Overall I think she does have some nice items if you are just looking for home decor but if you are shopping for an expensive big ticket item I'd advise you to think twice, do your homework, take the time to look very closely at what you are buying and most importantly make sure you are getting what you are paying for. If I'm going to spend that kind of money the next time I buy furniture I will be sure to shop at a reputable furniture store and buy new. At least they usually have some kind of return policy if you aren't happy with your purchase. Lesson learned. Buyer beware.

J & E is, basically, 2 large heated pole buildings that are packed with antique furniture. It's a residential neighborhood. The storage buildings are behind the house of Lonnie, the owner. Since this is his home, he's open by appointment. I didn't realize until I talked to him for a while that Lonnie used to be one of the owners of J & E in St. Paul. They were on Arcade, near the 3M plant for decades! This is where everything went after they closed - Lonnie's pole buildings. After decade in the business, Lonnie really knows his stuff. This stuff aint cheap. There's hardly anything under $1000. Many of the pieces are in the $3000, $4000, and $5000 price range. And some items are 6 figures, like huge early 1900s bars with carved wood and stained glass. If you like this style and if you have a big enough wallet, I suggest you stop by. Lonnie is getting up there in years. He won't be around forever. But you can buy it now and it's only a short drive from the Twin Cities. BTW, Lonnie is a really nice guy. Increased rating to 4 stars given the professional corrective steps taken. ************************** My wife and I ordered a custom set of bar stools and a custom storage king bed with a matching chest of drawers last July. The purchasing process was very easy and the staff was professional, however, after waiting for over seven months, the bed we ordered was not made correctly. We contacted the store and followed up with the issue in person and was told Mike was the only one who could remove the issue. It has been impossible to get ahold of him to resolve this issue and we have paid a large amount of money for an order that was made incorrect. It pains me to write a poor review of a Stillwater area business as it is important to me to shop local as much as possible, but the experience has just been bad. Great quality of furniture, but a poor business model lacking customer service and follow up after the money is paid. I would recommend other customers find another vendor who sells high end furniture brands that Simonet's carries and avoiding this store due to the poor customer service experience I encountered.

Due to my mother's recent move, she did not open the box until last week. Upon opening it, we discovered that the contents did not match what we had ordered. Specifically, the mixer inside the box was a white Classic Plus KitchenAid, whereas we had ordered a teal Artisan KitchenAid. Additionally, the top/head part of the mixer was not attached to the base, and the paddle and hook were missing some of their coating. Lastly, there is food residue on the mixer and dust on the bottom of it as if it has been used and sitting in the same place for quite some time. We tried to exchange it for what we had ordered and after talking to a manager at the store, a cashier and a customer service representative, who all gave us different return policy details, we were directed to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not able to do anything and said its an issue with Kohls directly. We are extremely frustrated by the lack of customer service provided by both Kohls and the Kitchen Aid manufacturer. We will more than likely not be shopping here anymore, which is very disappointing as its a place I have shopped at since I was a kid.
