We weren't told that. Mostly I'm writing this to save someone else from our situation. Our project turned out fine in terms of craftsmanship, but we ended with tile we hadn't picked out. We worked with a salesman and picked out 3 sets of tile...the backsplash was specifically chosen bcs it had subtle yellow tones. When the tile installer came out with the tile, it didn't look like the tile we had ordered. It was gray tone and not yellowed. I double checked all the paper work, and called the store and everything matched. I thought I must have remembered wrong. So, I visited the Tile Shop to see the tile first hand, and that's where the events happened that makes me give them a big BUYER BEWARE. The first salesman who approached me was downright nasty when I explained the situation to me. He told me they don't make mistakes, and that's why I should order the amount of tile they recommend. (Makes no sense about color.) He was so rude I didn't want to talk to him and I found the original salesman. He agreed the tile shade was different and shrugged his shoulders. He told me basically that it had been my responsibility to come in and check the tile they ordered for me before it left the store. No one had ever told us that. It helps that the store's just a short walk from my house. But what turned me into such a fan is the exceptional customer service. As soon as I step in the door I know I'll get a friendly hello and offer of help from whoever's working the counter. Owner Jim Welna and his staff have proven time and time again they're more than happy to go the extra mile to come up with solutions to problems. Plus, when it comes to product recommendations, I can trust they'll steer me in the right direction. Instead of the most expensive item, they'll show me what's locally produced, eco-friendly, AND most cost effective. If they don't have what I need they'll do what they can to make sure I get it. And these people know their stuff! One more thing: If your timing's right, as mine was on my second trip, Mr. Welna might offer you one of the hot dogs he's got cooking on the grill out back. Ace might charge a bit more for that tube of caulk or that BBQ grill, but in the long run, shopping there saves you money. Plus they're really nice.

He then looked at the broken socket and commented" An impact wrench was used on this socket. I assured him I used a ratchet breaker bar where he replied, everyone uses impacts on these. I asked him if he was calling me a liar, he looked at me and again I say, are you calling me a liar. He would not reply. I could see that not matter what, there was going to be no replacement for this at the Stillwater store. Picked up a new one at Menards for about $5.00. I have never been treated so unprofessionally bad in my life. Never again will I enter Stillwater Ace.
