I really should know better. Whenever I dive, I just have to know that it fills with water and need an ear cleaning kit. Luckily nearby there was this Target... but what is with the pharmacy closing early? I really needed someone to help me find it on their shelf of a bajillion useless bathroom accessories. Luckily I got my ear suction bulb and hydrogen peroxide but sheesh, it shouldn't have taken as long as it took me to find it! Otherwise, this is like any other Target that you have probably been to (except that the people working there are in aloha shirts rather than just the regular red polo). Target is one of the better Targets I've been in. It is very clean and the customer service is helpful. The sections are clearly labeled. However, every now and then, there will be a display that will seem out of place, like Christmas boxed gifts right next to the food section? Unless the gift is to help people lose weight while eating more food, I don't think that would be an appropriate place =) The Target has plenty of parking. I have never seen the lot full. They have a Starbucks inside, which is convenient. Bill Tip: Free WIFI throughout the store, so use to your heart's content! read more

Well where to start. Did you know that Target supports the local schools? The store had made deals with local vendors! We all "LOVE" the tourists, but they need to buy nick knacks. I don't know about you, but I would rather that money go to local businesses! The have done a lot to fit in, and if you need something all you have to do is fill out a comment card, and they actually get back to you!!! Beyond their business practice. The store is neat, clean and new. the Prices are competitive, and when stuff goes on clearance you can clean up!! This chick I know bought a butt-load of writing paper for 17 cents for 3 note books, who does that! the staff is friendly, to a fault. You all but get mugged to be helped if you shop at the right times. (If you think your getting 5 star service any where at rush hour just remember your not the only one who had that Idea.) I am not from Hawaii and am having difficulty breathing due to a cold and flu, allergies, or mild bronchitis. It has not gotten better with natural remedies (drinking lots of water, rest, vitamin C) so I went to the drug section at Target to pick up a stronger remedy. My mother is a homeopathic enthusiast so I am clueless when it comes to any drug other than Advil. I picked out a drug that fit all my symptoms but just to be sure, asked to talk to the Pharmacist to confirm that this was the correct drug for my symptoms. The Pharmacist (Natalie)?? was extremely rude, did not ask me any questions about my condition, told me to go see a doctor, and walked away. There were no customers in line or waiting and I left feeling confused and am still not sure if this is the right drug for my condition. read more

Traveling 1hr to target kona. Placed my order before i left the house. So it would be ready by tha time i reached here. Did a drive up order btw. Reached kona still didnt get a email saying my order was ready to be picked up. Walked in Went to CS and they told me my order still wasnt ready. Ended up canceling my pick up order and jst grabbing it myself. I give hilo target 5 starts. They always on it. CS suckks in kona. Sorry to say. Not gona do any pick up orders here again. read more

I get my nighties (spelling?) from here, I have multiples - love them. Built in shelf bra (remove foam insert), tank style and hangs mid shin (love the colors) soft cotton stretch fabric, feels great super comfy. I have 4 of them. I can stay in the all day . I bought a lot of my workout wear from here. Does not compare to any Walmart, blows them out the water on quality products. Champion makes well made sportswear (great for little girls too), I *wish * they got back this black sports top, tank style, semi fitted - built in bra and really love the 2" criss-cross straps. I'm a 36DD I purchased the medium (small waist) I'm 5'3" average and they hold me in very well, I'm on the hunt for that same style every I can and I can't find it, wish I bought at least two. No spilling out at all. I believe the thicker straps really helps to. Come back with that style. I'll put my order in for at least 5. Overall I'm really happy with the quality of their items, I mostly shop for my daughter's clothes here. Also shoes, my daughter really likes them. My daughter paddles - swimwear, eh - I see targeting mostly tourist, too bright and flowery for my taste but sometimes they'll have "one" my daughter likes, usually more solid colors, she likes to wear the Champion activewear boy short bottoms. I love their produce selection, my favorite is the blueberries and Cherub Cherry tomatoes - my lunch when I'm in Hilo or Kona and ice cold Kona brewing longboards . People don't typically come here for the deals (although, that would be a real +), I go for to stock up on the same things Meyers cleaning household products, clean beauty products, organic dog food, items for our family's pet . And less traffic than Walmart, I get in and out ( lol - I try). They stock up pretty well, unlike Walmart. They have everything in stock. Of course 5% off at Starbucks when you use your Target RedCard. Kona's store could hire people friendlier staff, they look so unhappy. So does most of them at the Starbucks counter. They're still clean we looking than Walmart staff. My son got most of his Tux ensemble there, $75 jacket, did not have vest - no selection for it, booooo!!!! Pants, belt, tie got it at Macy's ($60) beautiful blue (could've gone to Ross, I just hate the vicious territorial women that shop there), dress shoes , couple items had to go elsewhere - no biggie. We had a great day . Men's wear are great there too, My son gets his activewear here too, they seems to always have what I want, except for bringing back that thick crisscross strap tank top . I Enjoy the new things they bring in, Clean store. I love going there, never feels too crowded at all, I don't like shopping elbow to elbow. I my organic, non-gmo products. Thank goodness for Kona Target store. Great location, well designed parking, clean and organized store with friendly staff and fast check out lanes. On a quest for fresh food for a week's stay on the big island, my wife and I made the mistake of going to the Kona Walmart first... Don't bother unless you plan to eat many meals from the frozen foods department! We left disappointed with only the bare necessities to make breakfast the next morning. The next day we planned to make a quick stop at the Kona Target store in search of a CD my wife wanted. Much to our surprise we found a great selection of fresh foods including great looking fresh fruits and vegetables. I'd never shopped at Target for food but after our previous day's experience at Walmart, we immediately decided to do our food shopping at Target. They had everything we were looking for today and we plan to go back for any additional items we need throughout the week. I'm also going to give our local Target store a closer look when we return home. read more

I'm honestly really disappointed in this target. It's not very clean and there are merchandise all over the floor. I saw many food items and toys in multiple aisles and the workers just walk around it like it's not their problem. I also placed a pick up order which supposed to only take 4 hours to fulfill but I place my order at noon and it wasn't ready to pick up until 8pm. When I went to the service desk to pick up my online order the worker was very rude and unprofessional. I kindly asked her if she could cancel one of my items on my order because my phone wasn't working and she rudely told me to try again on my phone because she "couldnt" do it on her end. I was shocked when she said that because I know for a fact she could do it. The worker next to her came up and said that she could do it on her end and the other worker got angry and said "I know but I wanted her to do it." I can't believe I had such a bad experience. I love target but I'd rather drive all the way to the Hilo location than go to this one again. read more

While the store is okay. I'm giving it a one star. I don't like the idea of having to be ready for a fight with homeless going into the store and coming out with my purchases. Watch out for the NE corner of the store and the NW. The homeless like to hang out there and harass you. Be especially careful if they ask for the time. DO NOT stop to answer them. They're homeless why do they need to know the time. One will ask the other will get on the other side of you. DO NOT engage with them. read more

Normally the customer service is ok at this pharmacy but they need to brush up on their customer service. First the clerk let me know that my meds were ready and I needed to wait for the pharmacist. After waiting for her (Nicole - rude pharmacist on duty) to finish with the customer ahead of me she walks away and answers the phone behind the counter. Meanwhile there were 3 other girls behind the counter that could've helped. I ended up not even seeing the pharmacist about my meds. The clerk (Jasmine) that told me to wait in the first place ended up giving it to me anyway. What's going on at this pharmacy? Very unprofessional and maybe illegal? The rude pharmacist (Nicole) never went over the meds with me. I believe Nicole has been mentioned before in a review by Greg C. in 2018, obviously nothing's changed! read more

I love the store, but the pharmacy leaves much to be desired. They ran an old insurance without asking, so it was $25 too much. Then they wouldn't re-run it and issue a credit because my husband had already taken it out of the store. What does taking it out of the store have to do with running the price through the correct insurance? read more

I have to give a shout out to the Kona Target! I lived in Kona for a time and was there when this store opened. Really the model of what a Target should be! Super clean and well stocked in every department this Target is superior. Friendly staff who go out of their way to help you on the floor and at the register, a large toy selection, and a good variety of food makes this store great for kid shopping. Kona loves Ohana! All the conveniences of a regular Target back on the mainland, mixed with all the fun stuff you can only find in Hawaii. This Target is big, well stocked, organized and the employees are nice and wear red Hawaiian shirts! :) If you happen to be staying in a condo on the island during your stay and plan to cook a few of your meals, I highly recommend stopping here to pick up some groceries as it is less expensive than purchasing these items at the grocery stores. Also, they have all that fun souvenir stuff you can take home to all your friends and family back home such as Kona coffee, mac nuts, chocolates and so much more! However, If you are planning on purchasing a lot of the chocolate covered macadamia nuts, I recommend purchasing it at the Kona Costco instead as it is much cheaper buying in bulk. :) read more

Just finished my shopping at target. Let me say I've had several bad interactions with workers there but this was by far the rudest. I was checking out and grabbed two mini sanrio squishies by the check out. It had 2.78 on the tag but when it rang up 5.99 I informed the cashier. She went around and looked at it and said it was a different product and the rest (4)on the peg were wrong. As she walked back to the register I kindly told her she should take the items down or the tag before the same thing happens to another person. She turns around, grabs the 4 that's left on the peg and tosses it down on the candies below it. And as she is walking back to the register she is saying loudly "Its not like I put that there, I dont stock the shelves." I had my kids with me and I am disabled. If I was by myself I'd check her in her place but I held it together. But the rudeness of this girl after I just informed her of the problem was ridiculous. I talked to her manager and she was nice and said sorry and tried to offer the product to me at the $2.78 price but I didn't want to go back to that register with that rude girl. Time to start going back to Walmart. I did the orientation at Target, this girl definitely needs a refresher. read more

I agree with w.j about the bathroom and dressing room. That is very uncomfortable and unsafe for our kids. Why is target letting men go in women's dressing room and bathroom. I used to love target I couldn't wait till it opened. I spend about $300 to $400 a month for house hold things and groceries. But after finding out they don't care about the safety of women are children I will be going back to Walmart. Where men will not be able to go in women's dressing room or bathrooms with little girls! This was a pretty nice Target with tons of discounts from the holiday. Everything was easy to find and even the selection of libations was pretty nice. Even on a busy day, the store seemed well staffed. Also, cusps to the tech guys in the TV/Entertainment area. They were extremely helpful when I was trying to find an affordable yet HD ready mini/micro SD card for my GoPro. read more

Great clean place to pick up your vacation needs including a variety of souvineers. Not as cheap as say kmart or walmart but less ghetto. Plus there's an attached starbucks and pizzahut. If you want McDonald's it a quick walk across the parking lot. read more

We've come to Target three times, and the selections are great for the prices. Found the bra size in the preferred style and colored for me here that was sold out at Walmart just down the road. Looked for a travel pillow, had a choice of three to pick from, $8.50, $20, and $44.... settled for the $20, used the bonus card and got $5 discounted. Parking and shopping are super easy since its not cluttered with too many patrons and traffic. read more

I just want to give a big note of appreciation to the friendly and helpful staff here. Even though many have multiple things to do at minimum wage, they were kind and helpful. We stopped in a few nights ago, having forgotten to buy some insect repellent and had absolutely no idea where to find this in a store so large and stocked like this Target. We finally asked a worker who was busy restocking shelves and he not only took the time to ask what kind of repellent we wanted, but then he walked us over to the right shelves and explained the different choices and selections. Pretty good service from such a young, helpful man. And the repellent we selected turned out to be specially priced by this Target so we saved some $$. read more
