Employs at target are very disrespectful the have no care what you have to say. Will not listen and will belittle you in front of a store full of people. Manger Riley definitely should not be working with guest. She is disrespectful and needs to have discipline action taken for the behavior she showed yesterday. I was being attacked violently verbally but another consumer and she escorted me out of the store like I was a bad person. Would not listen to me Making me feel very uncomfortable and unheard. Went to pick up an order with my friend she placed. She had picked something up to help her curb a habit, and the woman at the item pick up felt it necessary to vocalize the items she was getting. My family and I have watched this location go through so many changes. Sometimes I expect to smell buttery popcorn and see those Icee spinning around in the big machines. Does anyone have a tissue. Sorry but I miss my Cafe dear yelpers. Now I walk in and see a customer service center in the demised cafe. Customer service has spiraled up and down a bit since the pandemic and since the remodel of the store. I am not sure which made it worse. I have found that it is hard to find our beauty or household products we use at Target regularly here anymore. It appears that alot of items are gearing customers to shop online and pick up items at store. The shelves appear smaller in areas and I do not know if it is just me but I looked in the baby and children's areas, they appear smaller too. I checked out maternity stuff( no not expecting lol) just curious. The selection is not much either. I guess if we want more things, we have to go to website and use Target store to grab quick things or get medicine from pharamacy. Please by all means this is my opinion at this location. Our Target just look like a online pick up headquarters with a mini food mart. It is not a bad or good thing but it is just what you want. This Target location is great, right at the Lakewood Town Center with many other places to shop, so very convenient. The staff is very helpful. The cashier I had today is a nice and delightful to talk to. They have a really great selection of trendy clothes and shoes with reasonable prices. I love Target Drive Up service. It helps me get my essentials quickly and easily. Usually my orders are ready less than 2 hours. I would recommend that everyone use their app to search and locate items at the store. read more

My brother got a iTunes gift card and from the time he paid and left the store to trying to redeem it in the car it was already gone. Ordered 4 video games for in store pickup, says 2 hours guaranteed. We check with the store 4 hours after the order, they said "we will have it ready within 24 hours because we only have 15 employees in the store". Enjoy exposing yourselves to major theft or frustrated customers then. Ended up cancelling the order and just getting the items from the shelves, their in store pickup is a joke compared to Wal Mart, Best Buy, or any other reputable store. read more

My target in Puyallup didn't have this particular toy I wanted to get for my baby's 1st birthday, so I drove to the Lakewood location because it said it was in stock on the app. I located the toy at the Lakewood target and grabbed it off the shelf, went to go pay for it and they said they can't sell it to me because it's not in their system. So I walked out without the toy but I got to thinking.... If the app says it's in stock I can order it and pick it up. So, purchased it through the app then walked back into the store to grab the toy when the same associate told me I have to wait two hours to pick it up even though the toy is paid for and even though the toy was SITTING ON THE COUNTER RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. No associate had to go find it through their messy toy shelves because I did that myself. I asked if they can bypass these two hours that's they don't need and the associate proceeded to tell me there is no way around it. Go figure. Now, I'm currently sitting outside of Lakewood parking lot for almost two hours, writing this Yelp review (which I never do) because target has a ridiculous process of doing things. I had a list of 10 things to get and was only able to find 4 of them. No joke. Only 2 check stands open as well. But there were 2 self checks, however, if I pay for the help then you shall scan and bag my items for me. BUT Wait ... you bagged all of my items (bleach, soap, lotion, laundry soap, all in one bag that couldn't possibly fit everything. Horrible customer service. We were checking out around 8am. There were zero checkout lines open; you had to self check out. I had around 75 small items for deployment care packages. There were three employees standing at the check out and two at the customer service desk just talking amongst each other, not working. I asked one of she could assist with my checkout since I had my children with me. Her response was that there weren't enough customers in the store to open a register. I was at self checkout with two other customers and there were at least two dozen other customers in the store. I won't be going back to that location. read more

This store, and Target in general, has gone downhill in the past several years. I realize the individual stores may not have a choice, but needing a worker to unlock a security case just so we can get deodorant is insane. This store is consistently understaffed, so good luck getting your deodorant and a bunch of other items. Selection of things is generally acceptable but stay out of the clothing department if you weigh more than 80 pounds. When I went there today to look at jeans, they didn't have anything even close to my size (but if you wear a size 00 in skinny jeans, you're golden). Don't bother trying to get through to customer service over the phone. On 2 separate occasions, I've called the store to speak to customer service either about an item missing from my order pickup, or asking about items being canceled from my order pickup. I'll call, press the button to transfer me to the guest services desk, and then the call immediately ends. I'll try to call back, and the same thing will happen. It's not my service because I was in different locations when this has happened. I've tried before pressing the button to a different department and then having them transfer me to guest services, but it often times still automatically hangs up. Maybe they need to check their phone lines to ensure customers can reach them. read more

I've been shopping at Target for years, and only just recently I've noticed that the employees start shutting down the store, literally at 9:45 pm. At the lakewood store last night I got trapped in a section they had taped off so the floor guy could start waxing....... I don't get it, they have from 10 pm to 7am to strip and wax floors why would they start 15 minutes early and make it uncomfortable for shoppers? If you want to close at 9:45, just put on your grown up pants and make an announcement before you change the official hours. Been here way more times than I can count since moving to Lakewood. I normally come here to buy some cosmetic items, a few food items, and some basic necessities. Things here seem to be priced fairly but it lacks a ton of inventory. The last time I was there I looked on the target website to see if they had a toner in stock, which the website reflected they did and when I went in, I asked the worker and she said it will take a few days for them to go in the back and organize the items they have in stock. I had to come back a few days later to purchase that item, something I use daily and ran out of. That was pretty annoying. We came in looking for a steam cleaner for our new house. We were looking for a long time at all the many options. When we finally found the one we wanted to buy we were sad to see it unstocked on the shelves, whats cool is at every target near every department theres a red phone or or a black button you can use to ring for customers service. Within 1 minute we had a employee ready to help us. He came over eager to help assist us the best he could. After scanning and reserching we were told that the one we wanted was an old model. He informed us about there ability to price match Amazon and walmart. Unfortunately all the ones we wanted were the same prices at there other places. I had started to buy groceries here. They have six disabled parking spots close to the store, which is really convenient for me. I went in yesterday, specifically to buy bananas, and Propel water. I could not believe it, there were no bananas, and no Propel. The spots for the products were empty. Imagine not a single banana !! I don't know if this is an ordering issue, or a stocking issue. Hope the manager looks into this, so that I have better luck next time. Or else I will have to drive further out, to Walmart. Won't go to Safeway, as the parking lot is ridiculous, and they treat the elderly very badly. This store is staffed by people who do not tell the truth. When asked if something is in stock, they will lie and say no, even though the in-store scanners say it is. The will lie about alleged street dates for things that don't have one to prevent you from buying them. The management is no different and are exceptionally rude. If you must shop at Target, don't shop at this store. read more

Amazing customer service! I had tried the online shopping and store pick up before Christmas, as I saw the commercial and thought I'd give it a try. I found the experience to be confusing, and did a review for the store (internally, not on yelp or google). The store manager personally reached out to me and we met in person, where he offered me a $20 gift card for my feedback! I was mind-blown, as it was above and beyond my expectations! I found this store to be clean and organized. The items are easy to find and all of the "check pricing" machines we went to were working. I did notice: if you see something you like on sale/clearance and wait to find it another day, it can likely be scooped up by another customer, so I'd recommend purchasing if you think you'll like it. The returns at the separate counter are easy as they can look up items via the card you used for purchase (if you've misplaced your receipt, or if it's in the bottom of your purse like mine was). I like how the restrooms are clean at this location. I also like how easy it is to find parking and there's a Starbucks inside this store. I'll come back, as I always do, and this store has a fantastic manager who cares about customer experiences. read more

I hate this Target so much with good reason. I have come to this Target several times and each time I heard issues. 1) Being followed around the store even with my white husband and mixed child. They don't even try to hide the fact that they are following us. 2) Always issues at the customer service desk. Even if I placed the order through the Target app to avoid having to shop in the store. They are always rude. When I my husband in to pick up things by himself, he never has any issues at all. 3) I tried to do a return one day and the person accused me off purchasing the dog bed over 30 days ago. When the dog bed was just placed on the shelves earlier that week. I simply wanted a bigger size for my Frenchie. This Targets staff needs more training. This is the worst Target I have ever been to. I have been to better thrift stores. The lighting is awful and the store is trash. It lacks style and flow. The store needs to be torn down.
