Usually the employees at the customer service desk are fine, but this morning I went there to return something I ordered online, and the woman was inexplicably rude and hostile, for no reason. We tried to buy a video game for curbside pickup, when we arrived and checked in we waited for more than 45 minutes before going to customer service. The customer service desk has a line of three people and two attendants actively ignoring the customers while they looked around behind the desk. Finally decided to give up and just attempt to buy another copy from the electronics section. Fortunately once we found someone to unlock the glass cabinet we were able to check out in the electronics section. We got back to the car and nobody had come to the curbside yet. read more

I frequent this Target location often because it is near my home. But lately I noticed there have been issues with my "pick up orders" First- I have received several wilted, mushy fruit items and close date dairy items. Second- I notice when I check in, that other cars that have arrived after me get their orders before I do! Today for instance, I had a very small order of 4 things! Every single car that pulled up minutes after me received their items first! When my items finally came out, the young person walked to my car and had on hideous house slippers and didn't even greet me! How is that dor customer service?! Worst experience ever and I will not be using order pickup at this location anymore. I will take the time to go into the store myself and get the items myself. BUYER BEWARE! BAIT & SWITCH!!! Terrible customer service. My son went to the Lee's Summit location to purchase a PS5. He made his decision, then couldn't find a worker to assist him. We were then ambushed by someone trying to sell us ATT products. Finally found an employee and told him what we wanted. During checkout, I realized the item rung up at approximately $50.00 more than the price listed on the shelf display. Employee stated that model was sold out. We were not notified of this prior, and my son was too inexperienced and too embarassed to raise issue with the employee. My son ended up spending more than he should because the shelf display was not properly marked (Sold Out) and the employee apparently wanted his commission sale more than he wanted to do the right thing. I'm not often in Lee's Summit, but I found myself in the neighborhood and needed to pick up a few things at Target so was happy to find this location. This is one of those brand new Targets - the inside is really modern, and you can tell it was designed recently, given how bright and open it is inside. Aside from that it's a pretty standard Target location. You've got a good sized grocery in this one, the typical clothing and electronics areas, and a robust self check out. The only unfortunate moment I had at this one was when I scanned some beef broth only for the machine to tell me I couldn't buy it. Perplexed I asked a cashier for help and it turns out it was a recalled product - although it was an inconvenience, the folks working were really kind and I saw them all heading over to remove all of them from the shelves. I'm guessing that one product had just been recalled for some reason. Overall, probably a good thing the system caught it and I didn't bring it home! read more

Saturday I bought waffle iron and took it home was to small (lost my receipt) Called next day and to my surprise was told this not a problem and good get refund. Asked about another waffle iron say on line (bigger) I was told I could exchange. I went in store and the representative I talked to was at desk she remember me from phone conversation her name is Kammi. She went back and found the item. This store is constantly trashed. Like it looks like no one works there 95% of the time. They need to staff better to keep the place nice, not to mention the overall mood of this location. With exceptions, the employees are overwhelmed and snippy with some customers. There's not enough lanes open during peak hours. Style is constantly trashed and only seems to be one person working there. Beauty has no people working there and is also constantly trashed. It seems like management just does not care about the quality of the shopping experience. I feel bad for the staff that does show up. They simply are not staffed enough to handle the mess. Groups of teenagers or young adults come in all the time and throw things, not to mention laziness. I don't believe the majority of the staff has been trained properly if this is still going on. It has been over 6 months and the store looks the same. Do y'all have a cleaning crew? My suggestion is that they should close the store for 2 days and have everyone work, to get the store presentable. If it is this bad on the consumer side of the store then how bad are those backrooms? During this time also retrain the staff so it doesn't get this bad. read more

I seem to find myself stopping by this Target just to wander around even if I don't need anything. The store is always organized and clean. I love browsing through the grocery area. On weekends, they give out samples! There's a Starbucks and a mini-deli/cafe area. They always have sale racks in the clothing area. A fun place to waste some time or holiday shop. read more

Just got back from the Target on Chipman Rd, Lees Summit, MO. Total purchase was $28.28 & gave them 100.00 bill. My fault did not check the cash back, but she shorted us $5. Cash back was 1-$20 bill, 9-$5 dollar bills & 1-$1 bill & .72 in change! should have been 10-$5 dollar bills!! very frustrating!! Guess I learned a lesson to check my change from now on!!! read more

Usually I have a wonderful experience at Target but today it was awful. Betty, the bakery manager was extremely rude. I went in to order a birthday cake and she didn't greet me. After standing there for several minutes, doing nothing, she looked up and said "Do you want to order a cake?" I said "Hello. Yes. Thank you. It's my daughters birthday this Friday." Betty: "I can't. I'm booked" Me: "Really? I was told it would be no problem yesterday when I was here." Betty: "I'm booked." And she walked away. Ummm, okay?! I walked over to the other employee who was behind the bakery (she was nice) and asked who the manager was and she told me it was Betty. I think Betty needs some customer service training and a few days off. Maybe a margarita. Baked goods and customers seem to make her angry. read more

Well this place puts the "Super" in Super Target! It may be the largest of the chain that I've ever seen. I mean, ridiculously huge. BUT that means it has all of the stuff you could possibly want, and you don't have to step foot in a nasty Wal-Mart for it. The grocery side seems legit and the produce and flowers were fresh, but we were primarily here for toys for a baby. It took us a while and about 14 miles of walking to find the toy section, but once we did we were pleased with the selection. If you're like us and don't have kids, you probably find it fun to give your friends' children the loudest, most obnoxious toys of all time. What did we find on this visit? A keyboard that plays all of the notes in cat noises. Have fun with that one, pals! Anyhow, the staff was all friendly, the store was clean, and while it was just stupid busy (it was about to snow and that meant it was time for all of the suburbs to freak out and buy a year's worth of milk) the lines were fast. Worst experience I have ever had. They followed me around the store the whole time thinking I was going to steal something when I can in to buy a drone. They said they didn't have any and I said ok. I had $1500 to spend on a drone. I wasn't here to steal I'm 40 year old white guy. Even after my friend bought stuff you guys were still following me around the store when I didn't even have anything else in my hand. When my friend wanted to buy a phone out of the case after he just pulled out $2000 in cash. She called to have two guys come over to help me and my friend. By the way my friend is disabled from a stroke a couple years ago so it's hard for him to walk. Now the manager is here and I hear the lady talking to other people over their walkie and they are talking about us. This is fucking ridiculous. Even when we just bought a $100 battery and we have the receipt they wanted to acted like he stole it when he bought it no more then 5 mins. Ago. Everyone here should be fired EXpect Tyler. He is the only one that acted and made me fell like what customer should be treated and talk to. May should be fired or learn how to treat people or not work in customer service. I always find this store to be clean and well-organized. It's well-patronized, but never super crowded, and much of the floor staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The only place I've run into problems is the electronics department, where they seem to not know what they have, if it's in stock, and on several occasions, *I've* had to be the one to suggest that they perhaps call another area store and see if said item is available...shouldn't THEY be taking the initiative on that? It's a Super Target with a full grocery, Starbucks cafe, photo studio, and optical center. I've not patronized the latter two, but I find their grocery prices to be on par with the local Hy-Vee (although I wish they carried more local brands, a la Hy-Vee, where I tend to go because I like Roasterie whole bean coffee). My only complaint other than the not-necessarily-informed electronics department is that they have a ZILLION checkout lanes, more than needed, really, and they seem to only ever have three open at once. It seems like there could be more of a happy medium. They also (I think) have self-check lines that are never turned on. The checkers are always upbeat, pleasant, and professional, even at times like 10:30 p.m. during Christmas shopping season, so that's a bonus. read more

The manager and staff at the optical department at the Lee's Summit store fall somewhere below a level of incompetency. Dr. Scott Sander is excellent; he has been my eye doctor for over 15 years. But now he is stuck with staff that doesn't understand how to process Insurance claims, call to say glasses are ready when they are not, bring out someone else's glasses and try fo fit you with them and then argue with you - - and this is the manager. On my 4th trip, I hope to actually receive the correct glasses. Then I am done with the circus. read more

I love Target. Its hard not to spend money here. I went in looking for shoes as mine were ripping. I was seriously disappointed that summer sandals were the majority of the shoes. The few tennis shoes they had were lame. I kept circling the shoes debating whether or not I was going to pick something. Then I noticed in a corner there were boxes of shoes with the discount stickers. So I searched for 9's. I found an awesome pair of shoes for $11! Then searched for another pair of 9's. I saw a 9.5 and it was the exact same shoe. Why not, and I bought both pairs. Way to save $$$! read more

On August April 24th, I placed an order with Target for a Thermaltake computer case to be delivered on April 28th. On the 26th, I received an email pushing my delivery date to May 4th. On April 28th, I received an email indicating my delivery would not be delivered until May 5th but that the order had been "shipped". On the morning of May 5th, I checked the UPS shipping number to determine when my package would be delivered, but the UPS status indicated they hadn't even received my package. I called Target and waited on hold for almost 30 minutes before speaking with someone who indicated they would have to transfer me to another department that could help me. I held after the transfer for another 30 minutes before being disconnected. I called the 2nd number back and after holding for 10 minutes, I left my contact information for a call back. After 4 hours, I still had not received a call back. I called the 2nd number again and waited for close to an hour before speaking with a customer service representative. She told me she could refund my money or we could try to determine what had happened to my package. Target had sent me multiple emails indicating the delivery date of my package, and they did not, in fact, have any idea where it was. The only way they had to contact Thermaltake vendor was an email address (I googled and found a number for them the following day.) They sent the company an email and CCed me so I could be made aware of the progress. The following day (May 6th, 12 days after the order had been placed), I called the 2nd number again and was on hold for over an hour. I spoke with a representative who confirmed they'd received an email from Thermaltake the previous evening (I was not included) and the information I'd been provided the previous day was incorrect. Even though Thermaltake could only say they'd look into it, Target's policy was to not provide any kind of refund until 48 hours after the anticipated delivery date (a date they apparently just made up). I would have to wait until Friday, call and be on hold for another hour (at least) just so I could get my refund. I originally encouraged not ordering anything from Target or buying anything from Thermaltake, but as a result of this experience, I strongly recommend not doing business with either of these companies. Target has already taken my money and refuses to refund it even after they've confirmed the product I ordered hasn't even been shipped from the manufacturer. Thermaltake has a telephone number, but no one answers it and no one returns calls. It's unfortunate that there seems to be no concern for the well being of the customer. All for less than $200. read more

I've had pretty darn good experiences here. I like that I can get dress clothes that are at decent price, and they constantly update their inventory. But I tell you one night there was a stocker guy near cosmetics, dude was sagging his pants and his litteral whole are was hanging out. Went to check out the deals this weekend at Target they had a product listed on sale and yet it was not found any place in the store! Asked a store employee about it he looked for about 2 sec on the shelf then called on the radio well another guy came over and said he be back well after 20 min of standing in the same spot NO ONE CAME BACK so as we walked toward the door I spot the one guy who said he be back helping a person with another item. Very poor customer service if you cant find it don't just leave us standing I have other things to do! It was just a waste of my time! read more
