I shopped at the Melrose Park Target this Sunday morning and went through self‑checkout. A few of my items wouldn't scan, and I had to call the associate, Karen, over multiple times. She was incredibly patient, kind, and always smiling. She reassured me every time that it was no problem and quickly fixed each issue with her handheld scanner. Karen showed excellent customer service and made my morning so much easier. She deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Karen! read more

I was at target and a Women came up to me asking me to buy her baby clothes she had him in her shopping cart he sleeping on clothes. Her other child looked malnourished. I was just trying to run errands before class and offered her money $15 to buy some stuff in her cart. She handed me a clothes and said to buy them. I took them and walked away scared. I moved to a different section and while looking for a pair of an earrings she was behind me. Asking me to buy her kids stuff. I was scared and said I will when I'm done shopping. I noticed she kept asking more and more young women. Like 16-20s, it was very uncomfortable she was eventually asked to leave. read more

This location is generally well stocked and staffed. It was stocked enough for me to find what I was looking for. I appreciated that they have safety precautions throughout the entire store. I didn't have to worry about anyone not wearing their mask. However, the carts weren't all promptly returned to their stations by the cart attendants. They were just left at the front of the entrance and other open areas. On top of that, aside from the signs, there was no workers manning the entrance to take a headcount to ensure social distancing or enforce masks. It's pretty feasible for a store this size that's this well staffed. Some of the checkout areas by the cashiers were crowded which also made it that much more difficult to social distance. These are all easy fixes. They just need to be more efficient on how they distribute their workers. read more

Took my daughter to get her an outfit for Thanksgiving- slim pickings, totally not a lot there. Get into check out and then buy the outfit- cashiers not paying attention to items once their bagged- someone else walked off with my stuff. Had to go to Customer Service, the manager had to go check the CCTV to confirm and gave me a refund. Please pay attention to people's things when bagging them!! read more

I visited this Target location on October 14th at around 7 PM. I went in hopes of finding a jacket on clearance because I left home without one and it was cold out. To my surprise I went to the clearance rack and found this cute sweater for only $3. I couldn't believe that target had a sweater on clearance for $3. I was super excited!! I grabbed the sweater, grab me a bottle of wine for the night and went to the cash register. As soon as I put my things on the counter, the cashier grabbed the sweater, looked at the clearance tag and start typing in the numbers. I thought that was odd because she never scanned it. She automatically grabbed the tag and started to punch numbers in. As I was getting my money together she looked up at me and said, "this is not the price of this sweater." I asked, "what do you mean?" She informed me that the actual price of the sweater was $29.99. I definitely didn't plan on spending that much for a sweater. I told her but the tag doesn't say that. She pretty much repeated herself and from her tone I felt like she was trying to accuse me of switching tags and trying to get over. I was instantly disappointed and embarrassed that she thought that. It then made sense to me. Apparently, she thought this as soon as she saw me and the price on the sweater because right away she never scanned the tag, she just started to typing numbers. I asked to speak to a manager so she called one on her walkie-talkie. She explained to him the situation and I couldn't hear his response but with a smirk on her face as to be laughing at my attempt to pretty much get something for nothing she said, "I know, but the customer wants to talk to you anyway." A manager showed up and checked the numbers and told me the same thing she said. That the price was actually $29.99. I told him don't worry about it I don't want the sweater for that price. The manager never even tried to at least discount it for my inconvenience. If I wanted to get the sweater for that price I could've easily gone through self check out. I am not a thief and I did not switch tags! The cashier never even said, "sorry about that, someone must've switched tagged. The reason why she never said that was because she thought it was me the whole time. I didn't appreciate her sarcasm, her pre-judgment or the embarrassment that I felt. It will be a long time before I return to this Target location. read more

I used to work here and had quit due to them tolerating racism, One of the managers Tiffany would complain about my body or would complement what I'm wearing very often. She also got mad because "you took 3 minutes extra on your 15 minute break" Even though I did not. I should have if she was gonna complain anyway about literally only 3 minutes. Every time I went into work I would be very self conscious and feel unsafe as well as uncomfortable. I worked here for 6 months and within those six months there was also a bomb threat. Tiffany does not deserve to be a manager here. If you have kids please keep them by your side when in this store. read more

I came here late at night on Sunday. The store seems to be a bit worn out. Employees at this location do not seem to care about the customers much. I usually go to different target but this one is the only open late on Sunday's. So I was not sure about the lay out of this location. I tried to ask several associates but it was impossible. I finally asked one person to direct me to the bath products but he sent me on a goose chase. I think he must of been a newer employee. If you end up at this location make sure to come with enough time as their employees won't know how to help you out finding specific things that you are planning on buying. This store is a great store in the Melrose Park area. A lot of the stores in the area are not organized or clean. Target is very organized and you never see any items out of place. They are a one stop shop. The grocery store is sufficient given it is not a super Target. I am always excited to visit the "dollar section" however, it seems like they've been getting very pricey lately, ranging from $3-5. I am also a long time Melrose Parker and I am still proud to say that my handprints are in the red cement on the right side of the right door. Its such a great community memory that Target incorporated into their doors opening celebration. I have not been the biggest fan of the employees who are there, but as of late they seem a lot more friendly, which is great! read more

I hope I don't regret my visit ... But I did. The price you pay when you're tired and don't feel like driving to Wal-mart, (but I'm kicking myself that I didn't just go to Marshall's across the street!) I went in for one item, came out with three all. One item, a skirt was special for $7.00, but tight leggings and basics "leggings" $16 and then taxes $25. Clothing on the floor, (not their fault, but messy, thoughtless customers), yet clerks are standing around chatting. Signs were confusing. Is it a sale item or not. NOT! Most of the "sale" items are either too small or really big and both don't look like anybody would buy them. The sale items as a whole look like they come from a resale shop, (I'm okay with resale shops, but if I'm buying for new it shouldn't look used). A manager, was managing the lanes. I was told by one clerk that she was closed, but the manager sent a customer with three items, (like me), to her lane and she was open again... And let's talk about "sale". Really? I feel as if I'm the "mark" and target has hit me! I told myself once never again and then I slipped and returned... I've learned my lesson. read more

Having to commute every day from the south side all the way out to Fraudview for my job, I prefer to get home as quickly as possible after work, trying to leave the near-west suburbs fading in my rear view mirror. Typically though, I need to make a run to get a few things after work a couple times per week. "What's that honey? We need tooth paste, a dozen eggs, toilet paper, an all-black 4x6 inch picture frame, a bag of potatoes, instant coffee, a package of tube socks (preferably with a navy blue hoop on the top), a bag of frozen chicken breasts, a copy of George Michael's Greatest Hits CD, kitty litter, bib lettuce, shampoo, Blue Moon beer, a rotisserie chicken, and a child's toy for a friend's kid's birthday that is coming up?" If it weren't for Target, my already long days of getting home around 7:00 or so would turn into daily marathons of leaving work and heading to no fewer than three different stores to get things done. Target can handle all of those requests and much more. The best part is- it is in the same shopping center as my office- which makes the convenience of Super Target that much more convenient. The prices aren't always the cheapest, but I find that they aren't that much more expensive than anywhere else, and in many cases actually are cheaper than places like Jewel, Osco, and Whole Foods. This place is also well kept and managed for the most part. It does get busy on the weekends, but isn't too much to deal with. I also like to pronounce it by its more fancy name: "Tar-shay" just because I am dumb like that. Bonus points for some of the prepared foods they offer too. I have found that out of all of the packaged sushi/maki rolls that are done, that the quality and taste here is the best, and with many of them going for less than $4.00- it sure beats eating at McDonald's every day for lunch. read more

This is "my" Target and it's a pretty good one, I must say! The parking lot is spacious and is accessible from 9th Avenue and North Avenue. The inside was *just* renovated and is spankin' brand new. Now it has a grocery store! I've tried all kinds of aspects of Target ranging from their Customer Service (returns/exchanges), Pharmacy, electronics, home goods, and all kinds of other things. Employees are easy to find and professional. Price check machines are all over the place. They've never gone out of their way to "wow" me, but I've never had any reason to be annoyed with this Target and I have no complaints. It's a keeper! read more

I'm a big fan of the entire Target company. It is the epitome of convenience, elegance, simplicity, and home-friendliness all bundled into one mega sized store. It appeals to every single person, room, and entity in the home. I can come here for any reason - seriously anything. I go to this location because it's close to me. Not only is it geographically appealing to me, but the workers are also very friendly. Specifically, Carmella exhibited a phenomenal example of customer service when I was there the other day. While buying home decoration for my new apartment, she asked me if I had the Cartwheel app (an app made for easy mobile couponing). She suggested for me to download it because there was a sale for home decor that day. I thought that was extremely generous for most cashiers could care less for my savings. Throughout the download time, she was charismatic, smiling, and very friendly still. I am very grateful for her and the experience she provided. Aside from the customer service, the store is huge with a grocery section as well. It's a one shop stop with great deals everywhere. Highly recommend this location! Loveeeeee! read more

It's trendy to like Target. Look at Michele O. (not a fellow Yelper but our next first lady); since I am a proud neighbor of hers I am not ashamed to say I like Target. This one especially. First it's close to my sweetie's work and a potential quick kiss on the road (!); then it's everything I need (or almost) under the same roof. I can grocery shopping and waste my time in the clothing/jewelry/home improvement sections all the while sipping on a nice latte from the Starbucks conveniently located inside the store. I recently purchased a Schwinn bicycle at this Target. They had the best selection of quality bicycles outside of a bike store. The bicycle is of high quality, but was assembled by someone who didn't know how to adjust the derailleurs. I had to bring the bike back for adjustment. It was ready the next day. I tested it with a 20 mile ride. It still wasn't right. I brought it back again, and waited 6 days. I lost patience and went to get it. The Target person said it wouldn't be ready for 2 to 3 weeks. I just took it. I rode it to Dan's Bike shop in Berwyn and they had it adjusted in about 4 minutes. In conclusion Target has good products but poor, unqualified technicians. read more

Confession - I have never been to a Super Target until I went here last night. To me, a Target lover, this is the mecca. They sell dozens of different Jelly Belly candies in bulk at $7/lb. My husband's favorite hot dogs are almost $6 at Jewel, $2.49 here. Yogurt without HFCS? Yep, Target has it for about $.68. Fancy ice cream? Yep! Fancy cookie dough? Yep! I am definitely coming back! The service was very friendly and the cashier was really nice. I don't know if others were there at a busy time, but my visit was the best! Sidenote - I seek out the best produce and I didn't look at Target's (quality or prices). I also didn't look check out the deli or bakery. I will update this review soon! read more

'F' this Target and the Mgr! I made a purchase of 2 Christmas Money Cards today and planned on putting (1) $50 bill in each envelope as opposed to 2 twenties and a 10, or 50 singles..... When I asked the tall, thin, Male Mgr. if he could please break my $100 for 2 fifities, he said, "WE DON"T HAVE ANY FIFTY DOLLAR BILLS" - When I went to the 2 other cashier's when their drawers were open, they BOTH had $50 bills but said the MGR would have to make the change - when I went back to the manager, he said NO because they NEED those bills to make small change..... FIFTY DOLLAR BILLS FOR SMALL CHANGE???? I don't think so!! But I do know I won't be back........ It honestly looked like a hoard of toddlers made their way through like a tornado and no one ever bothered to clean up afterward. I haven't been here in a while, but when i have gone, it was pretty good. Some things are over priced, but a lot are not. The one thing that I consistently need that is always cheaper here is rubbing alcohol. I haven't bought much here in the way of groceries, but from what I have seen, it is the same story. Some are overpriced, some are cheap. Some times they do have interesting things in their deli and meat department that look interesting, but again, some times it is overpriced, others are not. read more

This store shredded my license after only 2 days. They never tried to contact me and when I called they told me it was never turned in. I went to the service desk on the third day to make sure make sure it wasnt turned in. My name was in the ledger verifying that it had been found but it was highlighted to show that it had been destroyed. When I asked why they didnt try to contact me and why it was destroyed so quickly they said "that was the policy". Not true! Poor management. Love my target! Staff is so nice. The early morning staff that unloads the trucks now stock shelves later in the morning, (used to be before store opened). Sometimes it can be difficult to shop and get around with all the carts, pallets and team members in the aisles. Wish Corporate Target could make some changes about this, as this was their decision. Also, they don't have an operator for phones anymore. So the phone just keeps ringing and ringing, it takes forever to get a hold of someone. Again, I know this was a decision made by corporate to cut back on hours and save money. Despite all that I still love this target. read more

We came shopping here to get toys for a charity drive, and booze for making drinks for ourselves later (great combo, I know). The toy section had great options for boys and girls and many age levels. A lot was more than we wanted to spend, but when we really looked around, we found some good options that fit our price range, so we could buy a decent amount for donation. The booze section is relatively basic. We were able to get bitters and simple syrup, but opted to go to the liquor store to have more of a selection on the booze we wanted. I pretty much expected this to be the case. Short wait times in line even being a friday night during the holiday season. Bonus points for that! Overall, an A-OK location. read more

I went in for school supplies. I had a employee who was not in proper target attire ask me if I needed help finding anything. I said yes actually, im in the book isle looking for a dictionary. She calls on her handy little wakie talkie to a unknown male who she requests a search for dictionaries. He replies with none in stock. Then i tell her ok nevermind that how about these fivestar mead 6 pocket expanding folder. MY TARGET APP SAYS ITS AVAILABLE HERE. Ok let me check so we follow her to the office section where theres file folders paperclips and all that stuff... Shes looking in the same place i already looked. And then she "looks it up". She then calls it in thru her walkie talkie. "None" apperantly. Then I say MY APP IS TELLING ME IN IN ISLE D9. "No its showing it in (whatever isle we were in)". I then said WELL IF THE APP SAYS ITS AVAILABLE THEN IT SHOULD BE HERE OTHERWISE IT WOULD SAY STORE PICK UP EITHER. she said "well our app isnt up to date, takes 24 to 48 hrs to update". At this point i had about enough of her. I said ok thanks and walked away. She helped me with wasting 10 minutes of my life. I go to the back to school section all the way in the bac of the store and guess what... I found the file folder i needed in isle D9! i was so pissed because I always say no thanks when employees come asking if i need help. Theyve never been useful and shame on me for allowing her to waste my time. I was glad I didnt see her on my way to the register because I wouldve gladly told her D9 THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. She fails as a target employee. Not wearing propper attire, a black jacket is still not red. Lying about system updates. And not trusting the customer is all enough to send her to a lesser company where she can pass at half assing her job there. read more

Every couple weeks, my roommate and I make the 25-minute trek to this grocery store. It's so worth it. There is a Jewel right down the street from us, but we would never do all our shopping there when we can save this much money. I admit that certain things (booze and produce) are overpriced, but the rest of the groceries there are so cheap...AND they have a really wide selection of food. I heart Archer Farms! Everyone who I've taken to this store has been equally impressed. The store is really clean, there aren't a lot of sketchy people in there. Also, there is a really nice PetSmart and Home Depot nearby, so it's convenient if you have to run errands at those places (which I often do). I know it's kind of stupid to review a grocery store, but I encourage everyone to at least go check it out. Additionally, this weekend I purchased 3 workout tops (with the built in sports bra) and 2 pairs of workout pants for $50. I was happy. read more

This is regarding Jasmine in the tech department. I wouldn't say she is a good tech person. I would say she is way beyond FANTASTIC! She had a lot of patience and a lot of skill, going (I believe) above and beyond to help me out. I had a cell phone that went kaput (in the peak of the carona virus). Couldn't get in touch with AT&T. Abysmally long wait times. The non functioning phone was so old that the sim card would not fit into any of the new phones. She spent a lot of time troubleshooting the problem and sent me off with a functioning phone. (The tech guy in Wal Mart lied to me - long story.) I had been disappointed in Target because they were one of the first stores to disallow the Salvation Army (a wonderful organization) to solicit in front of their stores. I personally boycotted Target for the most part. But after my bad experience with the tech dept. at Wal Mart, it looks like I'll have to give Target another chance. This Target is absolutely 100% REVOLTING. Shopping for food? Forget it! Literally almost everything you pick up is expired or going to be expired within the next few days. There is mold growing from the bottoms of the shelves in the market department and bugs everywhere. Need assistance? Good luck! Not an employee to be found with how understaffed they are and when you do find one they're way too busy to assist you. I recently just started coming here a lot more lately and every single time I do come, it's extremely disappointing. I bought a smart watch for my girlfriend and when she opened it on Christmas day there was NO WATCH INSIDE THE BOX.I spent almost $300 on A BOX. Mind you, the box it came in was completely sealed and there was no indication that it had ever been returned. Does their guest service team not know how to properly check items? I wasn't able to get the item exchanged because of their lack of inventory. Thankfully I was able to get my money back! If I would've known better, I would've taken my business across the lot to Best Buy. At least there I know what I'm buying is brand new. read more
