Target offers the same big retail experience as the other big stores. However I do like their store brand better than the others.

My wife purchased AirPods at Target that didn't work. Upon trying everything, Apple told us to take them back to Target. Upon trying to do so, we were shockingly met with an extremely rude manager. She checked the serial number on the case and box which matched. She then checked the serial numbers on the pods themselves, which don't match the case. She proceeded to berate us in front of customers, loudly exclaiming that "if these had been purchased here they WOULD have matching serial numbers". I told her she was wrong. She told us she wouldn't return them and to call Target customer service. Target Customer Service told us we had to go to Apple because the serial number wasn't on the receipt. I told her I had the receipt in front of me and read the serial number off of it to her, and asked how we can return something to Apple that was purchased on a Target RedCard. Her response? She hung up. So I talked to Apple. Surprise, surprise, Apple tells us they're not supposed to match! Each AirPod has a unique identifier. Thankfully they're willing to help us, which is awesome, but also means a 45 minute drive to an Apple Store another day. I've heard from more and more people that they're having issues with Target items and being able to return them, EVEN WITH a receipt. So a tip to the wise, buyers beware! read more

I like Target when I'm not shopping for food. The home goods and clothing are reasonably priced but the groceries are too pricey and the selection is lacking. They DO have a selection of their store brand sparkling water with caffeine in it, which is the main reason I stop in here. Basically, if it's convenient I'll stop in for a few things but I wouldn't come here to pick up all my groceries. read more

If you are only going to have one open lane for anything over 10 items- please- put someone who is efficient and quick - not someone slower than molasses! Also no one was in self check out so I went there instead- and was just given a dirty look by the employee after I nicely asked to use it since I didn't have all Day to wait for ms slow poke. read more

I have been shopping at this Target since moving to the area in 2020. Today I had another great experience here. I used the Target app to order everything I needed, and Morgan had everything ready when I arrived. While Target advertises savings, I found many products priced higher than competitors pricing. Also I had made a list based on their website only of items that were in stock, far to many were not in stock. Finally the store was quite understaffed. I did not purchase anything. Make sure you get every item before you leave the store. Especially if you're buying meat. You will get charged but it won't make it in to your bag. Their resolution is to issue a gift card that you have to drive back to use because apparently a company that has a million ways to take your money digitally can't return it this way. This is very hard for patrons who may be short on cash (not me) or have health concerns (me). You're basically giving them a loan and repeat business after they rob you. Getting that seven dollar gift card took an hour away from my life I won't get back. read more

This Target Optical went above and beyond to save my family of six from the perils of Mom driving on the interstate when my husband lost his glasses on a roller coaster while hours/days from our home. We were able to leave with a trial pair of contact lenses and a huge sense of relief (I'm disabled and can't drive longer than 1 hour). They were so nice and the store is lovely, as is the Starbucks. I really hope y'all give this store a chance, as they were the only ones to even try to get a working (for at least a couple of days) trial pair on my husband. This is why I just dropped hundreds at my local Target optical and will remain a loyal customer. read more

cannot get ahold of a person most of the time. pick up department is terrible and the girl that claims to be in charge lies about policy when things arent convenient for her and has an attitude. been having problems for months with same issues. then when you have an issue you call and the phone just rings and rings and then hangs up no matter the department. 1 star because 0 isnt an option. When I told the PA that I wanted to use this location they suggested I shouldn't use it.. I did anyhow because it was conveniently located. When I got there cvs pharmacy it had closed at 1:30 (for lunch apparently) with no sign why it was closed or indication when they will be back. The cashier said that they are usually back by 3:00pm. When they finally reopened the cvs at this location claimed "the prescription didnt exist".. The pharmacist at this location could not identify in their system where the prescription was, and said it didnt exist. I had to find the lost prescription on my own because it had been filled at another cvs location.. They probably moved it to where the inventory was. read more

The store used to be great however, in the last couple of years, they're trying to force everyone through the self checkouts, and the lines are extraordinary. It is impossible to get in and out of the store in a timely manner. I do most of my shopping elsewhere now. read more

Target represents itself as a furniture store. Buyers beware. They sell junk at top dollar and they don't honor quality. Sold me couches that didn't last a year and literally fell apart. I drove a half hour from Johnsburg for one item...Coca-Cola in glass bottles from Mexico. Picked up a few four packs. The service desk said they only had 3 of them left in stock and was nice enough to pull them and set them aside for me. Other things to give it 5 stars besides the staff being friendly and courteous...I did walk around for a bit since I've never been here, and the store layout seems easy to navigate, and overall the store is clean and has a nice, modern feel to it. read more

I think I'm done with target. It's impossible to find what you're looking for, the shelves are bare and there is always a ton of pallets and boxes in the aisles. Today I went to return a $16 item without a receipt, they told me they could give me a store credit for $1.70. No thanks. I purchased a candy bar and Pepsi at the check out and after I opened both of them I realized they were expired. I can't stand the self check out and there is maybe 1 or 2 regular aisles open. The clothing selection has gone down hill. I will definitely be canceling my red card, the target I used to love is gone. read more

They would not honor an advertised price which I'm pretty sure is ILLEGAL! You shouldn't be able to change the price at point of sale.

We spend our holiday near this location of Target and silly me to forget literally all of my clothes. I packed everything before we left our home and maybe because we were in a hurry and we were so excited then I lost my mind and forgot to put my clothes in the car. Fortunately, we saw this store and bought clothes that could last for a week. I did not have a problem with their selection in fact I like it because the clothes have great designs, good quality and very comfy. The store is also clean and organized. I forgot everything even my undergarments and glad that the store has a nice selection and the prices are fair and reasonable. The staffs in here are also nice and friendly. I am just grateful that I was able to shop at this store cause going back miles away just to get the clothes that I forgot is definitely impossible. It is also my first time in this location of Target and all in all, it was great. read more

I love shopping at Target and this store is just a 5-10 minute drive from my house which is very convenient. The only issue I have had with this Target is the fact that the past few times I have gone there, no carts are to be found in the front entrance. I usually enter through the grocery side and find myself walking over to the other entrance just to snag a cart. The other issue I have had is that they don't have many cashiers open! Lately, there's always been a long line, so I'll end up having to go to self checkout. I don't mind using the self checkout lanes, but sometimes those can be backed up as well! Hopefully they figure something out because I do love going to Target! read more

Management here are completely unhelpful and I've overheard them gossiping and belittling their store associates. Not ok. During a recent trip my new Target sandals broke and they didn't have my size in store to replace them. When I asked the manager on duty what my options were he said they could only exchange them for the same pair (which they didn't have). "Well I can't walk around your store without a shoe, what am I supposed to do?" To which he replied: "that's fine" and walked away. ??? What?! Also, I absolutely hate the new store layout. Everything is all over the place. I was trying to find a lamp for my niece and lamps were in 4 different places. I'm sure they think this will keep us in store longer looking at more than what we came there for but they're wrong. I just won't shop there anymore. Like shopping at Target, definitely less expensive than Jewel/Dominicks. But we had an incident once that really upset me. One Christmas, we got a gift card & the recipient happen to loose it. I immediately thought that i should not worry because I have a receipt with an activating number. But when we took the receipt back to Target to get a replacement gift card, they said, "No." Not sure why but very frustrating. read more

Attention shoppers, this store in Mundelein price gouges. While shopping today, goldbond foot spray was listed on the shelf and via an app scan of $9.99. However, online the price shows $7.99 and it also showed $7.99 at the Vernon Hills store, which I picked up. Last month coffee k-cups at the Mundelein store were priced at $13.59, I drove to the Vernon Hills store -- only 20 minutes away -- and purchased the same product for $11.59. Makes you wonder how many other items are marked higher by 2-3 dollars at this Mundelein store. read more

Another great Target location in Lake County. I normally go to the one in Vernon Hills, but stopped by this one since the boyfriend and i were in the area. The store was bright, clean and inviting. The produce and floral section looked well-stocked, but we were looking for sporting goods. The selection of board games and basketballs are good. The staff was friendly and there was a volunteer who helped us locate the sporting goods section. Will definitely be back if in the area. read more

Anyway, I do love their pharmacy right there in the store because I live close by and whenever my prescription is filled I get a notification and I can just pop by after work. Please, for all that is holy in this world, have more than two lanes open. 4-5 cart lines and I'm talking full load carts with only two lanes open is crazy. The alcohol policy doesn't help those with a few items to simply self-checkout. I don't understand why this is happening. It's never been like this in the year we've lived here. Especially, at noon on a Thursday. They need to fix their scheduling, that's for sure. read more

Went to pay last night with an old $50, a $50 bill I got from the bank. Instead of doing it the old fashioned way, using a marker to check, they put it through their machine. And for some reason the old bills don't show up, so I couldn't use it. Thank god i had other methods of payments but I really should have had the cops come. I will never shop here again until they get the money checker machines fixed or updated because this isn't the first time I've had the issues, what happened to the old fashioned way of using the marker? read more

Maybe I am just getting too old for teenage antics. Maybe I was super crabby this particular day. I don't really know. What I do know is, it took me FOREVER to be able to check out because of the shenanigans of the target employee that was checking me out. Ariel was her name and she took a reeeeeeeally long time with the person in front of me (I always seem to pick the wrong line!) and then when it was my turn, she started to check out, but was distracted by the person who came up behind her. This Target absolutely rocks. Not only do they have stellar accessories, shoes, games, clothes, outdoor items, toys, clothes, makeup, cleaning supplies and pretty much everything you come to expect from Target, but this location also boasts a full grocery store! Didya hear that? A full, stocked, ready to rumble grocery store!!!!!!! I love buying groceries at my Target, but they don't have a FULL grocery store. Win to being able to save major dollars, folks. Everything here is pretty cheap. I also dig the selection! I stocked up on tights for this fall/winter because literally every size/color/brand were all out on display. I found some sweet, canvas shoulder bags marked down to like, $4 (whoot!) and picked up some cool hipster sunglasses for under $10. Not only is the selection there, the staff is really nice. I was looking for firewood and while they don't sell it, the gal I asked about it told me that I could just come over to her house in Round Lake to get some since her husband had just chopped down a tree. Ordered Cake for our daughters graduation, Vanilla cake with Buttercream frosting. It was decorated perfectly with her School colors and we all agreed it was one of the Best Cakes we had ever had!!! Super Target!! Clean. Large. Super convenient.

I use to love this Target but the last few months the check-out has gotten terrible. And the management seems to have lost interest in fixing it. At one of my last visits, I counted 5 people ahead of me in line. There were only two cashiers open. The manager or lead worker watching the check-out lanes said they would not open anymore lanes because there were additional registers at the self check-outs. (Note - there were also lines at the self check-outs.) Of the 5 parties in front of me, two customers were elderly, one had a full cart and another customer was buying liquor, which required the cashier to check IDs. It seemed the best option was for me to go to self-checkout. However, I was buying a roasted chicken that I had to turnover to scan, which spilled all over and had to be cleaned up. And I bought some other item that had to be manually approved before I could continue checking out. I think it was cold medicine. The whole process was infuriating and would have been much easier if I actually had a cashier checking me out. I now avoid this Target whenever possible. Luckily, a new Jewel has opened up down the road. I am buying my groceries there now. read more

I come to the store a lot because I live fairly close to it. Today I decided to call him earlier in the day when the store is just opening. As I was growing up I couldn't help but to notice that there was no parking anywhere near the entrance it seems to me that the employees of the store Park in all the good parking spots. I worked retail for many years and was always told by my manager that employees should take the furthest away from the entrance of the door for the convenience of the customers obviously this is not being enforced at this location. read more

Every time I go in the store aisles are being stocked so there are pallets blocking most of the aisles I tried going at different times and days... that didn't work. Also I looked up a google home product online. It was 129.00 on line and 149.00 in the store ?.....hope things get a little better I have been shopping here for years read more
