He also got a new contact prescription and i asked optical dept to print off his new prescription. They refused and said they had to order a trial pair before they would print prescription. I waited 5 days for that trial to come in and then asked for the prescription to be printed off and they again refused to print his prescription because he had to wear the trial pair for a week before they would print it off. In the meantime i am still waiting weeks for lenses and my son got into an accident where he both broke his frames and lost them. I explained this to the optical dept and they assured me the warranty would cover the frames. A month later i still do not have the full glasses set and when i called the optical dept said they were in back order and it will be another 2- 4 weeks from the manufacturer. I talk with the supervisor and find out they ordered the wrong frames. New frames are ordered now (1 month later) and i am told the warranty would cover them. This started in April and i come now in June to pick up the warranty covered pair and the optical dept asks for glasses frames that were broken. I previously explained multiple times that they were lost in the mtn bike accident that landed my son in the ER. They now tell me i have to pay for the frames. Worst service ever and my son is -4 in one eye and -8 in the other. I barely get both his contact prescription (they also printed the wrong one) and set of new glasses (they assured me warranty would cover) in June when the initial appointment was in April. Completely incompetent staff who never listened to the situation that was explained to them multiple times. I have come here 11 years with my son and was told by one of the staff members "i have been here 2 years and it's always been this way". Well i have come here 11 years and used the warranty and never had to bring back the broken frames. I was barely able to order contacts from another store because they held my son's prescription hostage and refused to print it off when asked multiple times. If you want your prescription 1+ months later then this optical dept is the place for you.

I needed to get my first pair of glasses at the age of 41, so I went to the Farmington Station…read morelocation to see what they had to offer. I selected their two pair promotional offer and was helped by a young woman who didn't too knowledgeable. I didn't consider much of her inability to answer general questions so I continued to be interested in selecting two pairs of glasses. She gestured me to the discontinued discount frames they had in a drawer of which I picked two out and we sat down. She then told me how I would need all of the different protective types of lenses on my glasses but didn't really talk about the price additions and couldn't seem to tell me which combination would be best for what type of viewing. She ended up putting all of the special lenses on one pair and nothing on the other. When I got my glasses they both seemed fine because what do I know? I use the pair that has no modifications, they're great. The other pair has multiple sets of light artifacts advancing into the visual landscape when viewing anything in any situation other than pure darkness, so I took them back to suggest that they aren't correct or something is wrong. The same young woman helped me but seemed very unsure or hesitant. She took my glasses in to the back room to "test" them and came back to tell me that everything is fine and she couldn't explain why or which lens type would cause what I told her im experiencing when I use them. I paid nearly $400 for these two pairs of supposedly discounted frame glasses. I'm the fool here for going to a place named "Americas Best" and expecting a quality experience.
