I was greeted by Cindy, and although skeptical about being able to fix them she decided to give it a try.

First, the staff is very friendly and professional. From the phone call to make the appointment to greeting me upon my arrival, I was impressed. The location is also bright and spacious. I saw Doctor Yu. He was so sweet. He was very thorough and even gave me a miniature biology lesson on my eyes. He explained everything, didn't rush through the exam, and put my nerves at ease. I was very impressed with his bedside manner. However, I was very uncomfortable when my eyes were dilated. Typically, I've received numbing drops to counter the stinging side effect from the dilation drops. I didn't receive that here. I felt like the doctor used a large amount of dilation drops and it was really painful. My eyes were pretty much dilated for the rest of the evening. They did supply some pretty cool little shades for my eye glasses to protect my eyes from the sun once I left. I also was disappointed they don't offer a vision field test during the routine exam. Finally, I was surprised that I was charged a sitting fee for my contact lenses. I questioned this since I've worn the same prescription for about a decade and they were even keeping me in the same brand of lens. I was told that the charge is only once a year. Yes, well, so is the exam. I didn't receive any additional service or benefit from this fee, it was just an additional charge. I'm not sure I'll return here for my next exam, which is a pity because there were some very big positives, but also some sizable negatives from my experience.

I really needed prescription sunglasses, especially with how insanely hot the summers have been. Protecting your eyes is so important, especially as we get older, so I figured it was time to finally get a good pair. They accept my EyeMed insurance, which was a huge plus. I called on a Sunday and was able to get an appointment for the very next day. The tech was nice and attentive who did the initial eye exams. Then I was seen by Dr. Uy. was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She didn't rush through my appointment at all and had such a great bedside manner. We even cracked a couple of jokes, which made the whole experience feel really comfortable. Jennifer, who helped me on the sales floor, was also AMAZING. She was hilarious and we had such a good time shopping for my glasses. Honestly, it felt like I had known her for years! I ended up going with Ray-Bans, and between my insurance and an additional discount Jennifer was able to apply, my prescription sunglasses came out to around $175. Honestly, not a bad deal at all! It only took 5 days to get them and everything's been good so far. Overall, I had such a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made what could have been a boring errand actually fun. I definitely recommend this LensCrafters, and I'm sure I'll be back.

Over the course of a few months Dr. Leena was able to completely transform my mom's life. She listened patiently to all of our concerns and did everything she could to help. My mom is now doing great and has not experienced any issues with her eyes since. After attending my mom's appointments I decided to seek care from Dr. Leena for my own problems which included extreme dry eyes and irritation that was greatly impacting my quality of life. I was constantly exhausted as a current college student who spends +10 hours a day staring at a screen. Dr. Leena heard my concerns and offered a solution that would help with my dry eyes (ask about the plugs!!!!) Dr. Leena was able to get me affordable care and service. I realize now that my eyes were affecting every area of my life. I now have glasses that I desperately needed and for the first time in over a year I feel energized and well rested. I highly recommend Dr. Leena as she is caring, extremely knowledgeable, and offers affordable care and solutions. She also has an amazing staff that is always quick to greet you and get you through your appointments with ease. The office is always fresh and clean and the staff is great to follow all sanitizing protocols after each guest. Thank you Dr. Leena, Cindy, and the rest of the great staff at Crystal Vision Optometry!!

Instead of showing concern or even speaking with me briefly, the office refused to engage until my insurance card was provided. In that moment, it no longer felt like a relationship with a healthcare provider. It felt like a retail transaction--as if the first priority was whether I could pay, not whether I was okay. This was especially disappointing considering I did have insurance and was fully able to pay out of pocket if needed. The lack of compassion and basic care in a moment of fear was a huge letdown. I never went back after that incident, and I moved my entire family's care elsewhere. Once healthcare starts feeling transactional instead of human, it's time to leave.
