Instead of showing concern or even speaking with me briefly, the office refused to engage until my insurance card was provided. In that moment, it no longer felt like a relationship with a healthcare provider. It felt like a retail transaction--as if the first priority was whether I could pay, not whether I was okay. This was especially disappointing considering I did have insurance and was fully able to pay out of pocket if needed. The lack of compassion and basic care in a moment of fear was a huge letdown. I never went back after that incident, and I moved my entire family's care elsewhere. Once healthcare starts feeling transactional instead of human, it's time to leave.

After my exam, I was only given a glasses prescription. When I asked for my contact lens prescription, I was told I didn't get it because I hadn't paid the trial--despite the exam already being done. It honestly felt like they were withholding my prescription to force extra charges. Even worse, their attitude suddenly changed when I mentioned contacting my insurance. Very unprofessional, not transparent, and not trustworthy. I would not recommend this place at all.

They seem sad to see customers and do not greet with a smile or at all as if they don't need customers to keep the business running. They do not say hello or acknowledge customers walking in. They put them on hold in person and only acknowledge them to hear what the customer is there for after they are done being busy with their computer work. When I went to pick up my glasses I was handed my glasses as if they hadn't done any work on them at all. No protective case, no business card, nothing. The only way I knew my glasses were different was because the lenses no longer had the ray ban logo on them. I didn't buy frames from them because I was happy with my Ray bans that were still in good condition but they did nothing to make me want to buy frames from them or even return for my next prescription. My Ray bans were unprotected, and exactly the same way I left them. They did not spruce them up by wiping them off or anything. I will find a new optometrist next time.
