They even cover the 90 days disclosure...

Little back story... My girlfriend purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses at this Target Optical store 2nd week of June near closing time with a wonderful employee named Freddy (apologize if i misspelled your name). He was patient answering all our questions, fixing my glasses because they were loose, and with my trying on different pairs of sunglasses that I would want prescribed in the future. We go on and purchase the Ray-Bans and he tells us that we have 90 days to return, exchange, get it fixed, whatevers. Cool! We get the glasses a couple weeks later, they came scratched, and due to COVID hours it was a bit hard to get them exchanged. We come in August doing our shopping when we stopped by Optical and ask Martiza what the policy is for getting them fixed and she states it has to be done within 60 days with proof with a receipt. Luckily we have a copy online. 09/06/20 - We stop by to get them exchanged since we saw online it is 90 days no hassle. That's when Maritza informs us that we in fact cannot exchange them, but she'll accommodate us this time. Then it was changed to you actually need to pay $35 dollars but ill give it to you for $7 and change. So I stepped aside confused and called Manhattan Beach Target Optical and ask how it works. To my surprise they told me, (long story short) within 90 days you can do whatever with the glasses, $35 is for extended warranty, and that all Target Optical operates under that model. I bring it up to Maritza's attention that we don't understand why we're being charged, and that Manhattan Beach Optical says otherwise, with her response as "Oh that's Manhattan Beach we're San Pedro" Shaking her head as if we were an inconvenience we politely declined the service and told her we'd just go to Manhattan Beach. To her response is that "I'm already doing it, i'll just do it" (still shaking her head). Here's the kicker! On our way to Manhattan Beach Target Optical, I decided to call just in case we needed to schedule an appointment. Jasmine helped us over the phone. She was able to reorder the same glasses, told us when they come in, we would just exchange. a 2 min phone conversation.... I didn't mind driving 30 mins to the location but she saved us the time! It's unfortunate that Maritza's service and demeanor makes me not want to go back to San Pedro's location since it is 5 mins from where I live, but will be driving the extra 30 mins to Manhattan Beach's.

Each trip need to receive one properly ordered pair of sunglasses-- weeks later.

Trust the reviews and DO NOT come here. I decided to order glasses at Target Optical out of convenience. When I ordered the first pair, the staff was kind and placed my order. The total was around $270 with insurance and blue light lenses. I decided I actually wanted to upgrade the lenses so I brought them back in-- turns out they did not have blue light lenses and they did not correctly apply my insurance. Kevin was kind enough apply my insurance CORRECTLY and upgrade the lenses to include polycarbonate, blue light & anti-glare. Luckily I brought my insurance booklet with me because there system was completely wrong. He charged the wrong amount to my WEX card and I had to pay with my personal account. He promised that when I came to pick them up they can refund my personal and re-charge the WEX (as I had to call and remove the first 276 dollar charge) With hundreds of dollars in upgrades to the lenses the price went down to $251. I went to pick up my glasses today and get a refund on my personal to charge my WEX. Well they claimed that was impossible & I have to come back in 3 days... grabbed my new glasses and glasses I was returning and put them in a drawer. A heavy set female worker who did not provide her name continued giving attitude as I explained the situation. Then said she will not help me because I was being aggressive. **no aggression was given only facts on the situation** I used my little noggin' and told her okay, I would like a refund on these new glasses. She refunded. Then I said okay-- May I place an order for a new pair of glasses? Which she then went through the process AGAIN to create a new order-- which I paid for on my WEX card. Then she handed me the new glasses and said have a good day... 50 minutes later. If you are happy spending over 3 hours ORDERING a new pair of glasses (No exam-- just to order) then this is the place for you. If I could give negative stars I would. An absolute waste of time and energy.

They did have a significant slip-up, that I will document but that did not disqualify them from receiving five stars because it was a gap in service that with some care and attention it can be closed. I had recently lost my credit card and I went to this place only with my debit card. When I went there I did not understand that the process would cost me 89.00 dollars and that was a cost that I did not budget for but I could still cover, not because I am rich, but because in the moment I could stitch pennies and dimes together into a net of rescue. I could get something put in my eyes to dilate them for test purposes. But that would mean that I could not drive because my eyes would be blurry. But all this hassle could be avoided if I took pictures of the inside of my eyes. The eye- tech (not her actual title, I am sure) explained that they could use a retinal imaging machine to take pictures of the inside of my eyes. But this would cost extra--- 39 dollars extra, I think., or close to that price I did not write everything down, but it was around that cost. I expressed that I would opt for that option but I also expressed that someone should have told me that from the get. Like why would you not tell me the cost of services before. I came Or more broadly, why would you not present options before I attended the appointment. A friend let me borrow 50 bucks over Venmo. I sent the money back. She send me a picture where she was charged interest. I sent her 5 more dollars to ensure she got her full amount. She has her own house and an AirBandB. Meaning that some people will mind their pennies with such a pinch that they would rather bring a partner to drive them, then spend the money on the eye picture taking machine. I hope you could all understand that what I am saying is just a common sense practice that is really a best practice. Like don't surprise your guests. Let them open their eyes wide when they are asked to for eye exam purposes, not with surprise bills. I also had to order some new pairs of glasses, and that cost like 25.00 more. And then I would have to also pay the price of the co-pay. So by the end of the visit I had all I needed but at the cost of 89.00 dollars, or so. It was around that neighborhood. Being able to understand these costs upfront, again, just seems like a best practice that they should adopt. This will take their services from good to stellar, in one Yelper's opinion. However, the whole experience was like visiting my eyes within and understanding them to be a gallery at an art museum and a universe within their own right. When the eye-tech used the retinal machine to take pictures of my eyes, I was like this is super cool. She guided my head so my eye could find a camera lens. When I saw inside I saw like a machine's signature mark. Then the flash came-- a clear green blast. It was cool, and it made me imagine that I was being hypnotize by a robot witch. When I saw the optometrist he showed me the pictures taken by the machine, meaning, I saw my eyes from within. And that is were I saw the universe inside of my pupils. It looked like red branches that stretched for infinity. I should have taken pictures of the pictures. The trees within my eyes were a cosmic forest that spread throughout the space that resides within each of us. It was grand to see the promise of splendor that molds my sight of wonder. The optometrist- did not get his name- explained to me that my left eye was not working as well as my right eyed. But not only did he explain it, I could also see what he was talking about. He used another machine to cover my left eye and I saw well. When he covered my right eye, and I relied on my left, my vision was blurry, it was kind of scary to understand that my left eye had become withered due to age. It was evidence that I could see, not just feel. The eye department helped me pick a pair of shades that will come soon enough. I have transitioned into an eye glass wearer. I wanted red frames, I was informed that these were not an option. My options were either olive, blue, or black. I wanted some color. I always want some color. But I felt that the new eye tech person, from the frames department, within the store, believed it was better for me to stick to black or blue. So I did. This place was clean, professional, and moved well. I did not wait too long nor did I feel processed. I felt like my eyes mattered to them, which is a great feeling to feel at an optometrist office.

I went to San Pedro Eye because it was conveniently located, but that's the only positive thing I…read morecan say. I will never go back, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. It took over four months to get just two pairs of prescription glasses, and I had to return them twice because of mistakes the optomotrist and the staff openly admitted were theirs. First, they told me I needed progressive lenses. I bought the frame, waited ages, and when the glasses finally arrived, the progressives didn't work at all. I went back, and only then did they tell me they made a mistake and I wasn't even a candidate for progressives -- I needed regular lenses instead. So I waited several more weeks for the new pair... only for them to put the wrong prescription in those glasses too. Back they went again. Another admitted mistake. And then more weeks of waiting. To top it off, they overcharged me for the glasses making me pay as I bought progressive instead of regular prescription. After this whole ordeal, I honestly wish I had gone anywhere else. Avoid this place unless you enjoy endless delays, repeated errors, and paying too much for the privilege.
