    First time ever going to get my eyes looked at and they really did a great job with me and my family. The service was amazing. They knew what they were doing. They had all the technology and they really took care of us and most importantly the prices were fair. I really didn't have to come out my pocket that much since they take insurance if you're looking for a good place to get glasses, make sure you check them out their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. .

    The staff here is very friendly. Especially Doctor Ngyuen is amazing! Got my exam done and glasses were ready within 5 days. Very happy with how throughout everything is.

    So I starting going to this place since March 2023 because it's close to my place. The optometrist Nguyen was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. I'm writing this review is for the 2 very unpleasant experiences I received the 2nd time I came to this establishment. I came back for a visit this past April because my vision seemed a little blurry, but I received a very unpleasant and upsetting experience. I came in to check my eyes and was notified that I will need a new pair of glasses due to an increased in my prescription, which I did. While waiting to finalize paperwork, I asked one of the girl employee if she can tighten my old glasses that I was using. Unfortunately, she broke the frame in the process but promised me that the store will replace a new pairs of glasses for me. I asked "are you sure?" and she said "yes". I asked "are you sure it's free because if it's not then it's ok". I asked this because I was afraid the insurance won't cover since I just got a new pairs of glasses while I didn't want to pay out of pocket. Fortunately, she reassured me that it's free because it's her fault and that I have nothing to worry about. So after finishing all the paperwork I went home. When I came back on Thursday (5/23) or Friday (5/24) to pick up my new glasses, the staff told me the replacement glasses are not ready yet. However, the new glasses's frame broke while I was driving on the freeway on my way to work. That scared me because my vision is 5.25/3.75 so I can't see clearly without my glasses and I was in the middle of the 710 freeway. I took a video and pictures after I exited the freeway then called them as soon as they opened to report the problem. I told them I can't come into the store until Tuesday since my work schedule from Saturday & Sunday was 7-7pm and Monday was Memorial holiday. Finally Tuesday came and I immediately went to the establishment to showed them the broken frame and they agreed to replace it. They also gave me my replacement glasses that their employee broke while adjusting my glasses. However, when I checked out the replacement glasses, I noticed that the replacement glasses does not have the thin lens and the anti-glare like the glasses their employee broke. When I complained, one of their employee said since I didn't do my old glasses from them, they're only responsible to replace a new frames and lens and not the cost to make the lens thin or for the anti-glare. I argued that it's their own fault since they broke my property and they need to replace it the same way as the old glasses. In addition, their girl employee that broke my glasses told me after she broke it that I will receive a new glasses like same as my old one "free of charge". However, they put in a prior authorization to my insurance to cover for the broken glasses so technically they didn't pay anything. The girl employee that refused me told me she is a professional whose cut and prepare glasses. I asked multiple times to speak to a manager but she told me she has the authority to handle my complain. I am tired of going back and forth with her so now I'm just writing this review while waiting for my glasses that has the frames broken. I have been wearing glasses for more than 30 years and this is the first time I have ever received such callous treatment from an optometrist office. I hope their "real" management read this and talk to their employees how to treat the customers respectfully. Also, if the establishment damage a person's property, they should replace it the same as the one that they damaged. I chose Carson Vision due to reading many positive reviews about the establishment comparing to many other different optometrist offices within the area. I only came here when I need a new pairs of glasses. But after this unpleasant experience, I will need to look for another optometrist office that has better customer service and does not show attitude while talking to their customer.

    This is a great place to get glasses, they have a lot of options and also got a very thorough eye exam. Great staff as well.

    This place tries to add on things to your bill . Be careful . Ask what's included in your insurance . And what lense price is also covered .

    i am new to vsp and called to make an appointment for an exam for contact lens. the front desk…read morestaff were all really nice, over the phone and in person. they called prior to my appointment to give a friendly reminder. dr au and his staff were all very professional. my exam look about 30m dr au was pretty personable. recommended that i purchase pataday eye drops for my red eyes which are caused by allergies. the only thing is that i was not made aware of was the contact fitting fee, which is $60. when i called to make the appt, the gal provided my co pay amount and the allowance for contacts under my vision insurance. this is why i always opt out of vision insurance bc it costs less for me to pay out of pocket for contacts than to pay for vision insurance twice a month + copay + contact fitting fee + difference of what my insurance covers for contacts, which is about $100 more. so basically i am paying double this year. other than not disclosing the contact fitting fee..the visit was good. parking: plenty of parking.

    Debra Alexander is a scam artist and can be vindictive. I went to see her for contacts in December…read more2025 because I wasn't given a contact exam during my regular visit. I wasn't aware that a contact visit was separate because my eye doctor in CT always did both at my yearly visit. When I came in I had my eye exam and ordered my box of contacts. Then I came back in March for my regular yearly exam. Before I came in I received many messages telling me to wear my contacts at the visit. I thought why should I? I already had my eyes checked for contacts. When Alexander came in the exam room there were no pleasantries and she just immediately sat down and started asking me how my vision was and she put the letters on the wall. She changed the letters and each time I could not see them at all. I immediately panicked because I couldn't see anything and she had flipped the letters many times. I thought I drove here and could see fine and I was sitting in the lobby reading on my phone just fine. I didn't know what was wrong with me that I couldn't see. When I asked questions, but she didn't answer she just kept on with her test. When she was done she said I had a different prescription in both eyes and that I would need two new different boxes of contacts. She had me take out my new contacts I had just worn to the office and throw them away. I refused to do that so she gave me a case to put them in and I put her contacts in she was prescribing me. I told her they were uncomfortable. She wanted me to try them for a few days and let her know as soon as possible if I liked them so I could bring my other prescription contacts in. She then took me out to the front to place an order with the tech. Mean while as I'm trying to keep up with her I'm thinking wait a minute when am I going to be checked for glasses? I wanted to use my insurance for glasses. I tried to ask her but she went back in the technician office and she said she would be back. I hoped then I would get a chance to say I want to use my insurance for my new prescription for lenses. I didn't even want to change my frames because she doesn't have a good selection or very many choices of glasses for women. The glasses selection cater more to men. The tech came out and I asked her if the doctor was coming out and she told me no and that she was seeing her next patient. Alexander told me she would be right back. The tech started talking to me about the contacts and placing my order. I was very confused and frustrated and I told the tech I feel very scammed. I told her I had just come in the office and had my eyes checked in December how is it my eyes dramatically changed in a few months and now I'm going to need two new boxes(a different prescription for each eye), which is going to cost me even more money and these are not the same brand and they probably cost more because they were a contact that dealt with stigmatism and bifocals. I told the tech I didn't come in to have my eyes check for contacts. She said well it's because it says in your records that I complained that I should have had my eyes checked for contacts during my yearly visit. I had that conversation on the phone with the receptionist and she explained that they are separate visits. I understood once she explained it but clearly I was being punished and scammed at my yearly visit. I told the tech right then that I felt scammed and that I didn't want to order the new contacts and that I would stay with the contacts that I just received in January. I was happy with them and I wanted to use my insurance for new lenses in my present frames. The tech said she would report my feeling scammed and how I was treated by Alexander to the office manager. I thought to myself what for? She works for her what is she going to do. Once I got my glasses I requested my records so I could go else where. The receptionist told me that she would let Alexander know. I said ok but why can't I just come in and pick up my records. She told me that Alexander needed to look over them and clean them up. I found that very suspicious. Why do they need to be cleaned up. I asked for the last 3 visits and it took 5 days to get them. I went in and picked them up and left. When I got home I looked at them and saw that my December visit was not included. I went back the next business day and requested my records for that visit. They then had to get permission. I told them I wanted the records for the visit but they asked me did I want my contact prescription. I said well yes I want that included but that I wanted all the information on that visit like what I had been given for my other visits and I showed them the records that I had been given. After they talked to Alexander I was only given my contact prescription and not the test records of that visit broken down. How convenient that I wasn't given those records to compare my December visit with my March visit. Very Calculating!

This was actually my first time seeing an optometrist and Dr. Lee made the experience easy, relaxed and enjoyable. I couldn't wait to pick out my glasses. There's an entire wall of glasses to choose from and many different styles. I ended up going back to the same pair after checking out a few other options, Marc by Marc Jacobs frames. To top it off they had this woman, whom obviously was a style expert, give me all the details of what was going to be covered by my insurance and easily explained my costs. I was told they'd be ready in a week, even though the following week was Thanksgiving, they called me and told me glasses were ready exactly in 7 days. So I was ready to show off my new glasses to the family! Thanks once again to Dr. Kristen Lee and her office staff for providing me with great service and a great deal on these frames!

    came here for a few years, this last time was complete BS. was misinformed & charged a bill that…read morewasn't mentioned prior to service or during previous appointment. previously id go, they'd say they accept medical to cover frames & test. they offered me both optical & contact exams without mentioning a price until the appointment was done. this was never an issue in previous appointments, & to top it off they're now saying I won't have my glasses ready until September & will probably still be charged for my frame. so they basically just improperly informed me about the services & prices until the end..& had no choice but to pay. sad part is, my prescription didn't even change much, according to the doctor & comparing my previous prescription...I could've just used that 110 for contact exam to order more contacts with practically the same prescription. prolly gonna stop coming here, the precious experience was so bs, the spot wasn't even open in time for my 9:30 appointment..just a huge mess

    I went to Dr. Goldberg for cataract surgery and Dr. Goldberg recommended I pay for the $3,700…read morepremium care package for a premium Toric IOL lens in my left eye, to have close up vision and to correct an astigmatism. This charge was paid entirely at my own expense, since this service was considered non-medical essential and not covered by medical insurance. The surgery on my left eye did not go well. Dr. Goldberg left big pieces of cataract fragments floating around in my eye. As a result, my left eye developed a secondary infection and I was required to have a Vitrectomy surgery with Dr. Gasperini at South Coast Retina Center, on July 17th 2024, which was a very invasive surgery. Before that procedure was done, I was not able to see with my left eye. At the end of September, I was informed by Torrance Surgery Center, a refund of $1,427.24 would be credited back to me due to the fact that doctor Goldberg did not put a Toric IOL lens in my left eye, instead he inserted a standard PIECE lens, without my knowledge and my consent. This standard PIECE lens does not correct astigmatism! Dr. Goldberg's office never informed me that a standard PIECE lens had been inserted in my left eye rather than the Toric IOL lens until I confronted him with the knowledge I learned from Torrance Surgery Center in October, which is 4 months after my surgery date. The fact that Dr. Goldberg did not inform me of this is highly unprofessional and should be considered as medical fraud. Upon confrontation, Dr. Goldberg only offered me reimbursement of a fraction of the $3,700 I paid for the premium Toric IOL lens conditioned on me signing a release for all claims which I did not accept. I am requesting that Dr. Goldberg reimburse me the $3,700 for the Toric IOL lens I did not receive, until today, I still haven't got any reimbursement at all. I want to warn the other patients such despicable practice can exist in a seemingly reputable ophthalmologist such as Dr.Damien Goldberg.
