It was pouring cats and dogs outside and I had already contacted 4 stores/pharmacies and no one carried this. Juan actually recognized this brand and spent a good deal of time looking around the store since products had recently been moved. He found it! My favorite Target in the area, which means shopping is quick because I know where stuff is located. I wish they had self checkout because I'm often in there just to get a few things. Sometimes they tell us we can go to customer service to check out if we have fewer than 10 items, but not always. This time I was there to buy Target gift cards for a charity called Angel Tree that my friend at church volunteers for. Anyway, you know how gift cards now have a longer process to activate, with an extra sticker to place on the back--I've never seen anyone activate 10 cards as fast as my cashier girl. She did that even with long sparkly acrylic nails on. All while being asked questions by other shoppers coming into the store and talking to her manager once. I checked for errors on the receipt, but it was perfect. Talk about multitasking! Impressive! Wish I caught her name. read more

There's always a long line for check out. At least 10 minutes. If you have fewer than 10 times and the return/exchange customer service is empty, you can check out there. Worst target I've ever been to. But somehow, I have finally returned after a full year of boycotting this terribly managed target. Even my gf who loves the place stopped going. The slowest target lines in history. I mean 14 open registers with 1-2 employees every single day. They don't care about your time. You have kids who are getting out of school soon, don't go to this target go to the Walmart across the road and get the same goods for cheaper and much faster. Walmart has a minimum of 4 lines open at a time and 4 self checkout lines. Target is the worst store one earth. You can get the same items for cheaper at Walmart. This review is strictly for the pharmacy... I had an appointment this morning to get my flu shot, and my experience was seamless. I arrived, checked in, and was seen by the pharmacist immediately. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, gentle when giving me my flu shot. I should also add that the vaccine area is very clean, and so is the pharmacy in general. read more

My faith in customer service was renewed today during a trip to Target. I placed a pick up order for a carseat and while waiting for it to be filled was notified that the item I purchased was no longer in stock. I decided to walk the carseat aisle to see if there was one misplaced or possibly find a good alternative. When nothing caught my eye I referred back to the Target app to look at what other options I had. While in the app I couldn't select a store with inventory so I decided to goto "exchanges and returns " to ask for assistance. While in line Malik asked how he could help. I explained the situation and showed him the app. He checked a digital inventory and saw that there was one in the store. He called for a manual check from Ceaser who was able to locate the carseat (yay). In a situation where most other associates would have just had a "it is what it is" attitude Malik took an extra moment to try to make a difference in the situation, all while keeping a cool and kind demeanor. This is how store loyalty is won from customers, not by the lowest prices but by how we are treated by the everyday associate. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Purchased a tv on sale last week and decided to open it up today for the fight. It was completely broken, remote, power cord and manual missing. The styrofoam was even tapped back on. The sticker on the back of the tv was tampered with. I decided to take it back to the original store (30 min away) because they told me they would honor a similar tv for the same price. Well, the store manager SAL accused me of doing all that stuff. It was so embarrassing and degrading! He offered a 20-30% discount when I originally bought it for 70% off. I spend so much money and time on Target. What a piss pour location. One time, I gave a worker the number to search for a item in the back and he lazily said it would take a long time to find it. I went to San Dimas and two ladies found it in under 10 minutes. Keep in mind, both stores had the item in stock. My pickup order (#9175566599561) got canceled an hour after I purchased through the Target app, and the reason I was given was that the item was "out of stock". I drove to this store at the same time it was being processed because I urgently needed them and there were three pairs on the shelf. I ordered some work gloves tonight for pick up at the Target in Pomona at around 9:40pm (their closing time has changed to midnight due to the holidays). They ask you to give them at least 2 hours to pick the item from your online order (hence "Ready for Pick Up in 2 hours") and then they notify you via email when it's ready. I ordered a pair of gloves from the Montclair location, and one from this location, in case that pair was out of stock (which happens a lot when ordering on the app). I assume this location had 2 left, because after I ordered, it said there was still 1 left so I figured it was a safe bet that they wouldn't be out of stock. My husband suggested we drive there while the order was being processed, just in case it got fulfilled on our way over. Once we get into the parking lot, I get an email notification from Target saying that the order has been canceled due to the gloves being out of stock. I was disappointed but we figured, since we were there anyway, we would look in the same aisle (C19, like it says on their app) to see if they had any other gloves in stock. Lo and behold, the exact same gloves I ordered were there on the shelf of aisle C19. Three of them to be exact. I thought my eyes were deceiving me. For a second, I refused to believe they were the exact same ones I ordered, but they were. The store wasn't even busy. It was 10:30pm by the time we got there and it was practically empty. At least if it were busy, I would've understood a bit more why the order was canceled. Though I still wouldn't have appreciated being lied to about why. Turns out, it's because someone was lazy. They didn't even utilize the two hours they had to pick the item. The order was canceled in just an hour! Now I'm questioning if every time I order something on the Target app and I'm notified that it's out of stock, if the items truly are out of stock or if someone just didn't feel like doing their job. read more

This target doesn't have many items in stock compared to other targets. Maybe because it's the area? I don't know. But to have 14 cash registers and only 3 open doesn't make sense. Also no self check out here either, you must wait like everyone else in the LONG line. For the amount of people coming to buy here seems like an easy decision to me and remodel this location asap. read more

I had to pick up food / household items recently and Arianna came out with order. She was very quick bringing out my order and she was very nice. IT must be hard for these workers now that they are constantly doing curb Drive Up service. When I first used it no one was using the service at all. Now everyone is using it so make sure you that nice workers like Arianna. They work hard for us so we don't have to shop. You can't tip them cash but gift cards are accepted!!! I went to DB target they were out of paper towel & toilet paper. But Pomona target internet on-line showed they had some, not a lot. Few of Target brands, so I drove to Pomona around 10 am but sadly they were completely out as well. The shelves were all clean out, just like all the other stores. I Walked in to ask a question about an item and I look over and see 3 managers standing around talking. Specifically the pregnant blonde lady who made eye contact with me about 3 times and didn't say "somebody will be right with me" she just waddled over to Starbucks. Because starbucks is more important than customer service. I waited for a good 10 minutes just for them to say they don't carry that product at this store. I stopped by this location today and was reminded why I hate coming to this particular store. I was looking for a specific toy. Of course, no employee was working by the toy or electronics. I walked around and saw an employee fulfilling online orders by market. He radios the team to assist me and no answer from anyone. He then proceeds to help me since no one from that department was answering. Although the item was not on the self, I appreciate his going above and beyond to walk over to help me look for the item. When I was ready to check out, I wanted to talk to a manager on the floor. I asked someone stalking up the bullseye area. Again, no manager answered on the walkie-talkie even though they called 3 different managers by name. Also, don't bother calling the store. They don't like to pick the phones. This is my 3rd review for Target. That's how much I value the company. I reviewed two other Target locations in my previous Yelp reviews. (Go check them out!) This Target location is a new branch that opened up a few years ago. Although it is situated in Pomona, a relatively old city, there is still some land that is under new development. It's conveniently located off the freeway and is surrounded by many other stores in a shopping plaza. I attend Cal Poly Pomona and whenever I need some stationery supplies for school, I tend to make a stop here because it's on the way back home. I can assure you that you will most likely leave the store with more than one item, if you originally arrived with the intention to just purchase one item.
