Shop here all the time. Love the cleanliness and staff (always friendly). My only and main issue is produce. So rare I get any fruit that tastes good or is fresh. I have tried so many times to buy blueberries, blackberries, strawberries. Either expired or no taste. Not sure who supplier is but Walmart, jewel both have better tasting fruit. Poor customer service. Management does not know how to honor their sale signs. If it is clear that a sale/clearance sign is up, most establishments honor the sale as a courtesy to the customer, even when it is the store's fault for keeping them up mistakenly or past the sale. Bought a pair of jeans today at this Target, from a display which had a large sign advertising a price of $25. Checked out and was charged $36 (the price on the tag). I asked for the advertised price - $25 - and was told there was nothing they could do about it, as the system came up with $36 as the price. I said, "Do you see the irony of letting millions of dollars of merchandise be STOLEN, while I'm paying here and just asking for the advertised price?" Blank look from the checker. I used to love to shop here bit after the scandal with the credit cards I stopped coming. Their prices are too high and I think there are not enough employees working here. It took me forever to find a worker to ask him where can I find something. This guy used his Wallky tallky to page someone and he himself got no fees pond could not find someone to help me. This location is generally clean and as expected for a target. I was shopping and saw a great deal on a headset and added to my cart. When I came to the register, it was showing as $70. I advised the cashier it was on sale on the display, and she told me to leave and come back with a photograph. Leaving my groceries, I trekked all the way back to take a picture of the display, and when I showed the photograph, attached, I was advised that it would still be $20 because the tag was still up in error. Needless to say, this was frustrating and disappointing. Why have a customer walk across the store to photograph the tag only to then look the product up and decline to honor the displayed price? read more

Target is a great store for bedding, kitchen supplies, back-to-school dormitory needs like a laundry basket - but they didn't have the beauty products I wanted, the cat food, nor the frozen tv dinners. They sell all those items, just not many choices. Still, I can certainly get half the items on my list and make do until Monday. I do get home decor inspirational ideas when I shop here. I always go to target I love target!! But today out of all the times I've went. I got the best customer service ever. I believe the mans name was Glenn(not sure if I spelled it right) he's an older man that was in the electronics side. He made my day. Made me laugh and explained very well everything I needed to know about the bundle of Nikon camera I bought. I was very very satisfied with his connection he had towards me. This store used to be great and we still do most of our grocery shopping here. Lately they've been reducing the variety of what they sell. It's gotten to the point that 2 times a month we do our shopping somewhere else to be able buy the items we need. Even the things they have left are often out of stock. What's more frustrating is that they try to hide this by putting a similar item in it's place. Add to it, when you get to the check out and they ask you if you found everything you needed and you reply with a no, they just stare at you and don't know what to do. This was the first super target built east of the Mississippi. It needs to be updated and they need to rearrange to be able increase their variety to be able to match other Super Targets in the area. read more

This Target location has the goofiest layout! I stopped in on my way home from Geneva on a Thursday evening during the holiday season. I was only looking for a handful of things and I basically had to wander all over the entire store to locate the items that I wanted. Cosmetics led me right to kitchen gadgets. Sure, that makes sense. I needed hair gel. It took me a good five minutes to find my way from cosmetics to hair products. Wow. The perks? I had the friendliest cashier I've had in a long time. I found holiday gift bags for $1. Even holiday wine bottle bags. Cha ching! Finally, there is a separate liquor store area at the very front of the store. This keeps the regular lines moving with the need to yell, "21!". read more

The Target app is mostly useless and only frustrated me. Nothing was on sale in the store even though the app said kids shoes were. Most of the young people working had no information about the App and less interest in actually helping me. Thank goodness for Jonathan the manager. He was very understanding and empathetic to my situation. Instead of leaving Target and going across the street to Walmart. Jonathan explained my options and helped me find everything I needed. I ended up spending an extra $60 dollars. The suits at Target should re-think the Target app and train more of its employees to be like Jonathan. Officially not coming here again! The entire store always smells like fried food. Now my jacket and hair stinks like that just from shopping here for 20 mins! Any item that you buy that is made of fabric whether it's clothes or a pillow or towels for your bathroom will smell like fried food. I bought shoes and there was food inside the box. Cookie crumbs. I didn't notice prior to purchasing because it was under the shoe I didn't try on. And I bought socks today and there was chunks of some kind of greasy food crumbs in between the socks!!! I find this disgusting and unclean. I'm not going back to this target again. read more

My review is for the actual pharmacy which I have been a customer of for several years. Target as a store is very decent (best when they have their sales and liters), and I do go there often to use the store as well. Have always had excellent service at the Pharmacy. Today - by weird coincidence - was outstanding. I feel today - as well as in general the past few years - has been a 5 star experience. New pharmacist "Naheed" was about the nicest woman I have ever spoken to and been helped by. That being said, the other pharmacists there are also equally nice and helpful - including one of the regulars - her name escapes me now, might be 'Cheryl'. Anyhow, today by weird coincidence I was helped by 'Naheed' and we struck up a conversation about the weather, and somehow it turned into the flooding in different states and how her daughter was stranded, etc. Yes, weird conversation I know - but funny and nice that somebody would take time to talk to me about anything at all. Naheed then helped me get my prescription set up on Target's pharmacy reward program, which was very easy. It was just a cool experience and Naheed was so nice, polite, "genuine", and even funny. As said, the other pharmacists and staff there are ALSO very nice. One other pharmacist (younger, late 20's?, her name is Maria - cute) is also very friendly and always says hello. Another guy/tech (maybe mid 20's - name is "Aaron") even remembers last names when patients come in and is very nice and talkative. Very cool and professional. Thank you Naheed for the friendly and funny conversation, and thanks to Aaron, Maria, Target pharmacy and the other pharmacy employees equally the same! read more

I have been going to this Target for about 18 years now. It's my favorite one in the area. It's always very clean (even the bathrooms). The workers are so nice and helpful. I love how quiet it is. ( no music playing) It's a Super Target, so it has a grocery store, which I love. The produce is a little pricy, but good quality and a large variety, including organic. I use to spend thousands of dollars at Target, but I cant even buy much anymore because I get shocked so bad on the carts, winter and summer. They should get the all plastic carts like they have in Wheaton, il or get anti shock wheels. The South Elgin one is the same for getting shocked. I believe it is something in the floor tiles. I now go to Meijer or Walmart. The employees also say they really get shocked on the carts too. read more

Target is generally a nice place to shop. I do most of my grocery shopping there. However, you have to pay close attention to the sale price tags as they are often misplaced. Several items that claim to be on sale do not show up as such when checking out. That is typical on every visit. Also items are frequently mis stocked on the shelves? Employees are friendly and helpful but whoever stocks and puts pricing on the shelves (in grocery) must be reading at a 3rd grade level. read more

This is "my" Target. Meaning I frequent this Target about twice a week. I love how convenient it is for me, that the parking lot is rarely a zoo, and that they have a Starbucks. The only criticisms I have are that they are often understaffed at the Starbucks and that they are ALWAYS out of Dean's cottage cheese. A lot of times they have great sales on items, such as Amy's frozen meals which I live on, and I've gotten some great deals on sandals here as well. I love that it's never terribly crowded and the staff is always helpful. There's one lady I always end up talking to that is a cashier and she's extremely friendly. Target has been my go to store for grocery items lately, but it's a danger zone because they have so many cute clothes..and pretty much anything else you could need! Luckily, I've been able to resist so far but I've seen a lot of items I wouldn't mind taking home with me. I did buy a dress and a hat over the summer that I got tons of compliments on, and I think it's become a great option for trendy items because the clothes and accessories are cute but also well made. read more

Target in general is great, and I love this location in particular. There is another Target that is the same distance from my house, but I super prefer this one. I come once every week or so for groceries and whatnot. Sometimes I make the mistake of coming on Sunday afternoons when it is super busy. However, they are always well-staffed, and the managers are quick to call back up or jump on a register themselves to keep everything moving quickly. If I shop at a Target, this is the one I go to, even though I live in a different town. Always like this place, variety of fresh foods, etc. However, this Saturday when I walked into this Target I was greeted not once, twice or three times, but 10 times within 5 minutes! I get it; you want your employees to give good customer service and feel welcomed. I can tell they must have recently gotten a lecture on welcoming customers, but I felt like I was being stalked so everyone could get their "Hello, may I help you find something?". Really, it mad me uneasy when I would hear this and I would have to search around to see an employee trying to grab my attention. I literally spent more time saying, "no, I am fine" than it took to find my 3 items and get out of there. Sorry guys; too much. I could no wait to get out of there so I would not be confronted again. I will wait a few weeks to go back and see if this silliness settles down so I can shop in peace. read more

We've been shopping at target forever! However, we've noticed the past few years, they have a serious issue with putting the items on the shelves located above the correct price sticker. This location is by far the worse. I can't tell you how many times we've bought something thinking it was one price, to only find out the actual price is way more than what we wanted to pay! I always check my receipt before even leaving the store. And we try to watch the prices as the items are being scanned, but it can be difficult to do with a 2 kids who are constantly distracting you. The times that we have realized the price was wrong before the sale is complete they send an employee back to check the price and they obviously just look for the price sticker and not the location of the actual item..so, if the item is not correctly located by the correct price, they won't honor it because technically there is a sticker on the shelf somewhere that says the item along with the price. With 2 crazy kids, I don't have time to sit there and read every flippin price tag on the shelf to find the correct price! The employees should just be trained to do their job correctly! I don't know... Maybe when there is nothing going on, have the employees check the shelves making sure the items are in the correct location! I'm so frustrated! I'm officially done with target after it happened to me yet again! I don't like Wal Mart as much, but I haven't had this issue with that company... Target needs to fix this problem! Especially this store!! DONE! read more
