Always a poor selection compared to other Targets within my travel radius. Said this for years. Poor quality team leads without leadership skills training. Being a bully is not a motivator when someone is learning and new. Opportunity to encourage and motivate a loyal, hardworking young lady missed. Not a "super Target" store, so no fresh (or limited) produce. If you need an onion, garlic, cucumber, and apples - go somewhere else. Selection isn't half bad on frozen items, but definitely geared more towards clothing and the rest of the Target time warp. Most employees are polite and friendly, but then you get others that make you wait for more than 5 minutes at the self checkout because they are talking, and then proceed to tell you you are wrong about a product price when you've taken a photo of the price tag. I am a 17 year old female and I experienced an accident in the parking lot. I was unable to move my car so I went inside to ask the team lead for help to aid the road blockage. Her name was Ashleigh at the Charlottesville Virginia Target. I explained that I needed help because of the location of the accident. She gave me severe attitude saying "I can't help you, this is your problem" and she stormed off leaving my car and myself vulnerable to an unsafe situation in the store parking lot. She was unable to achieve the store policy of guest services and she risked mine and others safety making us, 2 individuals under the age of 18, vulnerable on location. She is too irresponsible for her position in this job and she broke store policy. I felt offended by her careless behavior and attitude. Her immaturity in the situation was uncalled for. read more

This Target location is usually pretty great. Well stocked, nice employees, and they have a Starbucks! Just be wary of back to school time because it gets completely bought out by UVA students and Charlottesville students alike. My daughter was there Friday morning 5/9 and did not get her bagged items. She had a large lawn chair in the cart and thought the bag was under it. When she went back the manager told her he couldn't do anything about it then but give him her name and number and they would check camera's and call her. He tookl a picture of the receipt. Crickets...no one answers the phone we have tried multiple times. It should not take this long to look at the cameras. Looks like we are out 70$ Do better Target. read more

Ive been going to this target for a very long time. Recently going things have seemed really unorganized. A lot of the clothings sizes don't match the label on the hangers. I had to search he clothing section to find where some stuff really was because they would be strewn about. One of my biggest issues I've had recently was they hung up these used pair of leggings next to the brand new ones. The "sold as is" sticker was inside the pants. This felt super deceiving as many wouldn't even see this. I almost bought these and realized they were on sale because it had major pilling. These pants had to have been worn for months and then returned. Not only was it inside the legs- it was also around the waistband. These should have been thrown out, and for a place like target to think reselling heavily used pants for $15 is crazy to me. For only $5 off you can get leggings in worse condition than at goodwill! The workers are nice but they rely on self checkout instead of actual registers. The lines get super long. The store is full of stockers but not cashiers. read more

This place is disorganized at times but the real problem are the people working there, they are very unknowledgeable about where things are, unhelpful and plain rude to customers. This wierd girl with blond hair and a lip full of earrings was the WORST! She spit out her words and I couldn't even understand what she said and then she walks away... all with a frown on her face but with all that piercing no wonder. Most of the people who work there will walk by you without eye contact cause they so afraid they gonna have to stop and actually use their brain to answer a question. read more

The store was ridiculously packed with ONLY 2 cashiers and my child needed a diaper which I told them was the only reason I went to customer service thinking they would be helpful. This store was clean and relatively well stocked. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, though there wasn't the typical "sale" section for the expensive candles target sells. There usually is one for "sale" candles that are a bit more reasonable. Got a quality California chardonnay for only five bucks! and it was actually quite good. Score! The cashier was very nice and personable, though she did card me. I didn't mind walking back outside to get it and, honestly, being carded at 36 years of age is a fantastic compliment. In December, my son and I were shopping at Target. I found a coat that I really liked, and with the app there was a great discount. We took it, along with a cart full of other items, to the register. I didn't have a Target app on my phone, so I tried to install it while we were standing there. There was a problem with the wifi connection, and I could not get the app to download. The manager named Nikki was called over to help. I explained that I couldn't get the app to download, and asked if there was any way that she could help in regards to getting the discount on the coat (which was 160.00 full price). She was snotty and short with me, and said, no, there's nothing she can do. I have to have the app. Again, I explained that I was trying to get the app for the discount. She again said there was nothing that she could do. I didn't get the coat. And I was sad about it, since it fit nicely and was exactly what I was looking for. I have never submitted a complaint before, but I was really taken back by this woman's attitude. I would expect better customer service from a manager. read more

Target Charlottesville is a regular Target Store with some grocery items. The store is always clean, stocked well, and the employees are friendly. Always seem to find great deals at this location on their clearance merchandise. Plenty of parking at this location and plenty of shopping carts in the store ready for your visit. This location has a pharmacy, Starbucks, and cafe area. The entertainment section of the store always has a great selection of dvd's, Blu-Ray, and music. They had 1 cashier open at 10:30 in the morning and the line was 5 customers deep! (This has happened several times!)They did have the self serve check outs open but that's not very easy when you have a cart full of items plus you can't use those when you have alcohol. They are ALWAYS out of the smarty pants vitamins I get. Always! I've had to start ordering them or pick them up at other Target stores when I travel. read more

I seem to be in a different target every week. This was my home target when I lived in C'ville. Man I miss it there. This was a nice target, nothing special though. It was clean, well stocked, and the people were nice. The African American girl working at the Starbucks was always a pleasure to see. They never had those little clip in cup holders but the lady mentioned how people take them outside and they get lost. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. Customer service was always pretty helpful too. Considering it's the only target in the area, I like it, but it's not the best target I've ever been to, so four stars ;) read more

I went to this Target midday on Black Friday. It was actually pretty easy to shop around with the increased crowds and they seemed to have extra staff on hand. Very smart Target! Newer cleanish Target. Leaps and bounds more pleasant than the other big box retailers in town as far as environment, clientele and products. That being said, using a rain check here has been a pain. Bought a Crosley turntable as a gift for my grand daughter for Christmas. When it was opened on Christmas morning turntable was inop and latch was broken. Took it back for any exchange and was told by the lady at returns they would not exchange it. They would only give a store credit for the purchase price. She was told if she wanted to pay the diff. between the sale price and regular price,which was approx. $35.00 they would give her a new one..Didn't know that was how it work's. MY grand daughter said she was not treated very nicely at return's and left in tear's. Have never had that type of problem at Walmart when returning an item that was on sale. Just know where i will not be shopping in the future. By the way went on Amazon and purchased the same model for the same sale price offered at Target originally today,01/05/2015 read more
