place was a mess, impossible to find anything. just wanted beach towels and a chair. took 20 minutes to find someone who worked here and then he didn't know where they might be. told us to check bath area. no beach towels in sight. target is a black hole and I lost years off my life in there. can't say i'll go back. read more

Something's happened to Target. They used to be one of my favorite places to shop. It's now turned into one of those discount stores where the lines are long, the attitutde laissez faire bordering on outright contempt. There's one employee working while all the others are on break in full view, chewing gum and one was literally twirling her hair. Is a 15-year-old managing this store? Also, since when did shop-for-pick-up mean that you go to pick up your item at the store -- that you've already purchased -- and then watch as the clerk goes off and actually shops for and picks up your item? Did retail shopping enter the twilight zone and they forgot to tell anyone? If this the new "real", can the website at least include the "Watch the clerk shop for you!" option? Needless to say, sorry, Target, I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

Okay so yes is this place in a little disarray due to the changing season and then clearance being malled thru yes. Buttttt here's what changed my mind.... The customer service. TARGET IS SELLING USED REFURBISHED APPLE PRODUCTS AND LISTING THEM AS NEW. Selling them as new products. I purchased an APPLE watch for my husband for Xmas and upon using the watch, it was completely dead, not functioning. Went to return to TARGET who stated it was passed the 14 day return policy on Apple products and to go to the Apple Store. Upon going to the APPLE store and them completing the diagnostics we come to find out it was a USED REFURBISHED WATCH !! They also stated this is not the first time they have seen this from TARGET. After receiving this information (printed out from Apple) I called TARGET CORPORATE who also REFUSED to return the FRAUD product they sold us!!! I now had to contact Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau as well as send a certified letter to Target CEO to make aware of this disgraceful business behavior. so BEWARE !! It has everything but you can't checkout. 2 registered open on Sunday afternoon lines are deep. Absolutely insane.

Friendly place to shop. Very neat store and organized. Shop online and pick up or curb side is very good. Ladies/women clothing stocked with my sizes and you can check other stores for items that may not be in the present Target Store by using the app . There are also in circle coupons on many products and if you have the red card you get 5% off of your total cost. The grocery section is quick and easy too. It's not a mega ShopRite type section but you'd be surprised at what you find. I use to shop in WALMART a lot but now that I moved to Toms River I find myself in THIS store weekly. Plus Starbucks is in the building and I run thru for a hot or cold beverage because you also get a percentage off by using the red card. Overall I enjoy shopping here. read more

In the middle of quarantine we risked our lives to get to Target to satisfy our chocolate chip cookie craving. We usually opt for the Toll House Pre-made Pre-cut dough, but were disheartened go discover that they were completely out of stock. We said to ourselves, "thats okay, we'll try the Pillsbury Pre-made Pre-cut dough." After all, Pillsbury is usually known as a baked goods market leader. We rushed home, our taste buds now watering, and quickly preheated the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Immediately after removing them from the deceptively illustrative package, we knew something was seriously wrong. The coloring and texture of the dough was completely off. We read the packaging and discovered that the recipe had been changed to allow for the consumption of the raw dough. After 10-14 long, agonizing minutes the cookies were finally ready. We carefully removed them from the oven and set them onto the cooling rack. As I poured the dunking milk, my culinary partner transferred the cookies to a plate. By this point, our stomachs were grumbling and we were ready for some chocolate chip delight. The moment we bit into them, our eyes locked and a feeling of despair engulfed us. We knew our instincts were right. These were NOT cookies. These were NOT "lovin like somethin from the oven". I have never tasted such rancid, chemically plagued, artificial cookies. I hope no one ever has to experience this embarrassing excuse of a dessert. TARGET, take heed of this review. Strip your stores of this filth immediately or you will lose the business of myself and many for the years to come. read more

1st time coming into this Target. I was appalled wtf is going on here? Clothes and stock all over the floor, disheveled appearance to the whole store. It was as if there was a party in the store the night before and the mess was everywhere, staff walking around pushing carts of put backs etc. Big mess and disorganized management. Only 3 cashier lanes open all with long lines. Sad to see my local Target is that much of a disappointing shopping experience. I read reviews after leaving the store, a lot of similar reviews to this one, but they go back over 6 months so apparently this is the norm there. read more

How Target is combatting our pandemic- everyone at 6ft? Is the store even at a reduced capacity. I spoke with the district leadership who said they would take care of it and a week later it was worse. I called corporate and they said no one would be able to call me back. Wow. So this Target has an Order Pickup section and another area for Returns. There was no definitive line set up so I stood at the Order Pickup section. An older lady assisting Returns kindly asked Katrina to help me. She didn't want to. The lady asked her again and actually had to explain to Katrina why she should assist me. She hesitated and finally came over to lecture me, "There is actually ONE line." I apologized and said I saw the two sections and assumed they were separate. Then she went on to lecture me again, "No. You're just cutting in front of people." Seriously? I already apologized and I would have been okay if someone had just politely asked me to wait in line, but I clearly heard your coworker asking you to assist me. Someone needs to re-evaluate your level of service because you obviously do not belong in this department. read more

I have to say, Michelle made my experience at target amazing. In the middle of the pandemic, 2 days before christmas, this woman greeted me with a giant smile and lots of assistance. She made sure I was able to get my coupons and set me up on the target circle app. She didn't have to spend 10 minutes of her time on me, but she did. She made me feel important and like a valued customer. I told her if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic I would have hugged her. Her positive attitude and not just willingness, but her drive to make sure I was able to get the most for my money was overwhelming. People like her are what make the world go round. I hope she knows what a difference she made in my experience, and my day. If everyone treated people the way she treated me, this world would be such a better place. only one cashier opened and long slow moving line waiting at the popular self check out they only had a total of 4 self checkouts with 1 being out of service, i usually do most of my shopping at the manahawkin target they have 8 self checkouts at that location even if there is a line it moves much quicker. read more

This is my favorite target. It is close to me. It's always super organized and stocked. The few times I've had questions, it was easy to find someone and they always seem so happy to help. Will always go in for one or two items and walk out with a ton more. Bathrooms are always pretty clean. They seem to have a steady staff, since I'm here often see familiar faces every time. read more

This is a great Target! Always clean and tidy. Friendly staff and super helpful manager. Rarely too crowded like other Targets stores.

Went there yesterday for batteries, and two buses full of children dropped them off at the front entrance. There were at LEAST 150 kids, unsupervised, blocking aisles, and running around. Nobody intervened. That store was not at reduced capacity, the line was about 100 feet long with people on top of each other. Customers without masks on, sneezing everywhere. If you ever see buses out front, don't even bother going in. Honestly, avoid this place in general until summer is over and the tourists go home, or maybe try pick-up. While checking out on 'register' some fat bitch that works there bumped me didn't even say excuse me, I should of knocked her out & also the cashier that bagged flattened the bread and hamburger rolls that my mom got. Shoppers being suspiciously searched for stolen goods hidden in purchased merchandise makes for a terrible experience. Check out cashiers and security thugs have become rude and smug idiots. Target has recently updated their home and decor department and I was very impressed! Very stylish and modern! I wanted to buy everything in the department! I also found a lot of cute stuff in their 1-3 dollar section in the front. Very happy with the direction they're going in. read more

Where do I start here. Very rude and just unhappy people working here. I never had that bad of an issue here until a young 20 year old kid thought it was to verbally abuse a pregnant 7 month woman. This was unacceptable for an employee to do this to any customer let alone a pregnant one. read more

Our complaint isn't with this location but with there registry online service . Well we ordered item that were listed on a registry it took two weeks to receive and two out of four items were damaged . We called for help the representative not very helpful we needed items shipped out overnight or at least a two days ship that wasn't available we then told them to credit account for damaged items they said ok 21 days before it would clear ..So we then check Amazon for items we find actually the same items and cheaper and should have them in two days on Amazon prime ...lesson learned never use target online check Amazon first !!! So the follow up we ordered from Amazon received same items in two business days box of glasses each glass wrapped and glass box within packing box fully protected .Complete opposite of shipping from Target no glasses wrapped not enough packing inside shipping box ...Strongly suggest Amazon for anything oh and did say items were cheaper from Amazon wow what a company read more
