My boyfriend took me to this store because he thought I'd like it. He was not wrong! They can take all of my money. They have a huge selection of women's and men's clothing. It ranges from touristy beach apparel to really cute dresses. And the prices weren't bad either. I got two dresses and a top for $100. A huge plus was that they had a lot of dressing rooms open. You can only take 6 pieces of clothing in at a time, but they'll hold some items for you until you're done trying on the others. The quality of the clothes seems decent, too. Love the store however the cashier not so much. I have been coming to the store for years and this has been the worst. The older woman at the register is not a role model for younger (or any) sales associate. Instead of engaging with customers at the register she banters with the associates making you feel as if you are interfering with her conversation. I witnessed someone making a return in which she examined the merchandise as if the customer did something wrong. She is nothing short of rude...if she is a manager shame on her...if she is the owner shame on her. PS...The return policy is terrible. This store has great bathing suit options for busty people. It's pretty rare that I'm able to find tops that fit in store, but there were a few really cute options for me. Highly recommend if you're curvy! I would love it if the curtains on the dressing rooms offered a bit more privacy - when other customers walked by, it moved the curtain a bunch and that was not fun. read more

Best jewelry section! The clothing ranges from name-brand-expensive to crappy and cheap... there's really nothing in between, which would make it better. Other than that it's your typical beach department store, with clothes, shoes, bathing suits, lots of touristy souvenirs and shirts that say "Seaside," and those staples like sunscreen and beach chairs. A good, solid one-stop shop for everything you forgot to bring on vacation. Extra points because I got my beach umbrella here, which has been awesome as it's the kind that screws into the ground, so it doesn't blow away. And it's pretty good quality too. B&B has been around for what seems like EONS. My mother still insists on coming here every summer but I find it less than exciting. They carry everything from home decor (note: kitschy shore related crap) to jewelry (you know, the same stuff you can get in Claire's in the mall) to beach chairs and clothes. The clothes to me are good for teens and old ladies and the prices are high unless they're having a sale. They also carry men's and children's clothes and tons of flip flops for all. This store is a tradition started by my mother and now continued by my daughter. Always good for a stroll through and you can get some colorful items on sale. Used to be a great place to get your Seaside mementos but have long since changed to cheap clothing on the "Seaside" stuff as opposed to the once high quality we were used to. The shirts-sweatshirts etc..were all once real good quality- but not for the longest time when they changed to cheaper quality.You can get your nick naks elsewhere too. This store USED to be one of my favorite stores to go to. I went in a few days ago and bought a bunch of items. One of the shirts I tried on and must have lost the tag. I brought the shirt back to the store the next day and simply asked to exchange it for another shirt that was the exact same price. LINDA, met me with a huge attitude and refused to let me exchange the shirt because I didn't have the tag. I tried to explain that I was only trying to exchange it and I bought it just the day before. Her attitude was horrific and she pretty much told me to get lost. I went home, got all of my items and my receipt and returns to the store to return all $70 worth of items that I had purchased. No way I'm going to give my business to a place that has rude employees like Linda. Instead of exchanging my shirt, they lost out on a whole purchase. My mom and aunt also returned their stuff just for principle. Their loss. We'll never shop there again. read more

sidewalk sales! nothing better than a $5 bathing suit! this place can often be overpriced, but if you catch a sale, you are in the money on cute summer shore gear. i never leave empty handed. funny, because the back corner is filled with odd touristy stuff. so clothing and porcelain sea shells, this makes it a "department store" ha. read more

I was just at The B&B Department Store in Seaside Park NJ. It was simply amazing. Price points for every pocket book. I bought super cute bracelets for a birthday gift on sale for just $3.99. Great inexspensive assortment of jewelry. They have a great variety of flip flops at different price points. Some were very diffrent then I have seen in the malls. I bought a super cute sun dress marked down 50% off. Many items are on sale now so shop til you drop. read more

The clothes are just alright though sometimes you can find something that is not available elsewhere. The prices are not bad on some things, ridiculous on others. What you should not expect to find here is courteous, never mind friendly, service. It seems that the resentment for the people that vacation here and ruin this perfect little seaside retreat obscures the fact that these same outsiders are responsible for the lion's share of the money spent here. read more
