Taro Taro is a relatively new Boba Tea Shop in the Plaza with Game Stop near Chili's. At one point, it was a Subway and it still has that thin sort of set up. You order at a kiosk and choose the kind and flavor of drink, the ice level, the sweetness level and the additions you want. I ordered a Green Apple Fruit Tea Slush, 25% Sweet, with Extra Ice and Peach Popping Boba. I did not have the sense that the drinks were as customizable in terms of aesthetics compared to some of the most popular Instagram Boba places. The kiosks certainly discourage the type of interactions I've had at other places that have led to some cool looking drinks. The tea arrived with a foil top and a pointy plastic straw for stabbing. That was kind of enjoyable. The colors and textures of my tea were good. The flavors of my slush and the bursts of peach juice in the boba were fine at first, but something had a very slight soapy aftertaste for me. We all experience flavors slightly differently, but I would probably try something different if I went back. My 10 year old enjoyed his Strawberry Yogurt Beverage with Brown Sugar Boba. He said he didn't notice a similar aftertaste. The store is pleasant, has cool light fixtures and has very comfortable chairs. Thanks to my Yelp Elite friend I found about this place after he shared recently. So close to home I decided to check it out on this beautiful mild winter day! The inside has 3 tables and it's small, clean and cute. There's only 1 person working and the way to order is by using the big monitors. There are 2. So you can see the whole menu on there, add to to it as well and check out. So many delicious drinks I couldn't make up My mind. I must say the medium was still a lot for me. Because the drinks are heavy it was very filling . Drinks only come. In medium and large. Wish they had small sizes. But mine was very tasty. It tasted like a flan in there! I recommend if you are a boba lover! Glad I got to check it out. They also have some bites on the menu such as sausage! read more

This place was beyond my expectations! So many flavors to choose from and I loved how cute the place was and the self serve kiosks. I tried the kumquat fruit tea and it was so delicious and refreshing, my husband tried the mango coconut lychee tea and it was so good amazing and creamy. Found a cute little boba shop while making a trip to Game Stop. I remember the Taro Taro signage going up, but never made it back when they opened. When you walk in, the cafe is trendy with kawaii vibes. The staff was super friendly and quick. There were two kiosks set up to order. This is personally my favorite way to order boba because of the many options--and Taro Taro had a lot and a few new-to-me items. Taro Taro had smoothies, milkshakes, fruit teas, slush, yogurt & sparkling drinks. They had classic boba cafe flavors like taro, matcha, red bean, but had unique flavor combos like lychee Americano (yes, coffee!), avocado mango and kumquat lemon. And don't forget about the toppings, tapioca boba, fruit jelly, popping boba, cheese foam and more. It's so fun to make up your own creation, but remember adding more toppings is an extra charge. I got the Mango Fresh Milk with tapioca boba in the Mellow Latte section. Loved the puréed mango and overall flavor, but it was very sweet for me. I ordered it with 25% sugar level too. My husband ordered a Thai Milkshake with no boba. He is not a boba fan, but he loves Thai tea and milkshakes so this was too perfect. He loved it. It was creamy, subtle flavor, and sugary. We got the regular size which is normally the "large" at other boba shops. There is an even larger size and only $1 more. Wish I had gotten a picture for size comparison, just take my word for it, it was HUGE! Another feature that Taro Taro stands out, they have a few snack options. They have Taiwanese Sausages and Tater Tots. We got the Seaweed Tater Tots. The Tater Tots were served warm and had furiakake seasoning on top. It was a generous portion that it fed two! This was a great discovery day. I look forward to coming back to try more drinks and to get more Seaweed Tater Tots. My husband already wants another Thai Milkshake. read more

Surprisingly, I found out about this place from my parents. We were in the Berlin Turnpike area and they were raving about this new tea shop with the insanely tall cup. "We have to go--they close at 8:30 pm and aren't open on Sundays" And so we went right before dinner lol. There's two kiosk up front where you can completely customize your orders and add whichever and as many toppings as you may like--my mother added all of them and curated a $14 drink. Options also included customized ice levels and sugar amount, which is great. The tall cup is a bit gimicky in my opinion because although the cup had its height, it lacked in girth. (I am curious to see how much liquid it actually holds.. my guess is around 20oz for a large). Flavors were standard and boba was cooked nicely (not too mushy and not hard in the middle) I guess I knocked down a star mostly for price--depending on how much the large cup actually holds, this was a bit pricey for what it was. I recently discovered Taro Taro by overhearing a couple talking about it at my favorite Filipino market. A couple days after, I made my first visit and have now been here 3 times. My first visit I decided to get the Taro Latte with Boba. There are 2 size options, medium or large, and I went with the large thinking it would be more of a "medium," but it was way too much for me to finish, so I made sure to get a medium at my next visits. For my second visit, I ordered the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with boba and added cheese foam, and my third visit I got the Coconut Latte with Boba. All of the drinks were very good. The Brown Sugar Fresh Milk boba was too sweet though, so I suggest no sugar if adding cheese foam. I also like that you order through a kiosk and you can customize your drink to be exactly how you want it. The girl usually working is also very pleasant and helpful with suggestions if needed. One of my favorite drink spots, especially if you like boba. The drinks are well balanced and delicious and a great summer treat. I had the lychee coffee which was one of my favorites. I recently had the white peach green tea with Boba. The teas generally you can adjust the sweetness.
