The walls were covered in kid's doodles and drawings, there's a table with Legos, a shelf with stuffies, a bit overkill if you ask me. They offer a large assortment of teas, slushies, smoothies and more. I got the Peach Lemonade with tapioca. We also got a few of the macarons. For a place that specializes in bubble tea, this wasn't good. I got the Peach Lemonade, there was nothing peach about this tea, as far as the lemonade it had just a splash of flavor and a lot of color. The tapioca were pleasantly chewy. The macarons were like eating cardboard, very artificial. I've had better ones from Aldi and Trader Joe's. This was a very disappointing experience at Wukong Tea.

They had a few spaces for kids to play, and a bunch of plushies on the wall for people to buy.it's definitely aimed for the young ones in terms of decor and layout. When we first came in, we got an overwhelming scent of tapioca balls. A cooked rice and sugar smell which was very predominate and distracting. If you didn't know the smell, you would call it astringent and funky. Not a good sign. Lots of sweets on the menu and the drinks lean towards sweet. They offer lots of "poppers" in a lot of different flavor options, with some inventive selections such as cheese, red bean, and water chestnut. Drinks are about 5.50 for a medium, with poppers coming in as a .50 cent add on. I opted for the red bean milk tea with red bean poppers. Cause I just wanted to try a red bean popper. Drinks came out quick and we took our pics and sips. The tea was non-existent, was a blended red bean drink with lots of red bean flavor but none of the sweetness that push it closer to a dessert item. The red bean poppers delivered on the red bean texture. Flavor was lacking compared to the drink, and was very firm. Almost like a jelly encased bean. The missus got a matcha green tea which was better executed. Lighter on the tea but sweet and creamy. It's not a space for the older folk, and I don't know how I feel about it as a hip or trendy drink spot. It's not bad, but it's not a great drink spot either. Some spaces are not to peoples preferences though, and I get that. As a traveler of sorts, I don't think there's enough to have me try them again.

This is possibly the largest pho (Vietnamese) restaurant in the state (next to Pho Boston). The decor is real nice too. The menu is huge. There are a lot of options including classic Vietnamese non-soup dishes (one of which I am getting). Unique items include salmon spring rolls and salmon noodle soup. There is no music. That should be on while they're open. The owner, Pete, immediately serves me a huge glass of ice water with a lime. It's warm outside so it's very refreshing. For my drink, I'm having a Nuoc Chanh (fresh lime). Nước chanh is a classic Vietnamese limeade, known for its refreshing balance of tart, sweet, and occasionally a hint of salt. In Vietnamese cuisine, "chanh" usually refers to green limes, though lemons can be used as a substitute abroad. This is good! It tastes closer to lemonade. For my appetizer, I am having the Goi Cuon Ga (chicken spring rolls). Gỏi cuốn gà are fresh, non-fried rolls filled with poached chicken, rice vermicelli, fresh herbs (mint, cilantro), and lettuce wrapped in thin rice paper. They are a light, healthy alternative to the traditional pork and shrimp version, often served with peanut hoisin dipping sauce or fish sauce (nước chấm). These are light and easy to eat. The cubed or diced or minced chicken is a different approach I haven't seen before. Add sriracha sauce for a little kick. These are good! They do serve everything on styrofoam plates. Adding some ceramic plates would be a nice touch. For my entree, I'm having the ga luclac (also known as Shaking Chicken). This is stir fried chicken breast with mixed vegetables and white rice. Vietnamese Shaking Chicken (gà lúc lắc) is a popular dish featuring wok-seared, cubed chicken thighs marinated in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and garlic, resulting in a caramelized, savory flavor. It is typically seared at high heat to create a crust, served over greens with onions and tomatoes, often accompanied by rice. I've asked for extra spicy. Let's see what comes out. There's always sriracha sauce as a last resort. This is more like it! It's served sizzle hot! That's a big portion! This tastes great! It's nice to be served by the owner himself! I have sensitivities to gluten, so the option for rice noodles was a great surprise. Something I loved was the additions like hoisin sauce, bean sprouts, and lime that you could add to the broth to make it to your taste. Additionally, the ambience inside was cute and comfortable. The outside of the restaurant is a little disarming, but once you go in, it's incredibly welcoming. The owner himself served our table, and you could tell he was passionate about his food. Coffee is not its strong point, and it's not right to compare a coffee in a place that deals in almost exclusively tea. Even if I were into tea, I do have expectations. I didn't really taste the passionfruit, but more so of the green tea. I don't know if the majority of the drink is 85% tea, 5% jelly, and 10% passion fruit. The sweet level was not too bad, usually I tell them less sugar, and the drink still comes out sweet. I think that's what kung fu tea is known for compared to other bubble test shops such as teabreak or gong cha. Thus again is my experience in drinking bubble tea. The location and shop is super clean, the worker was nice, and the vibes are there. The drink was just mid. I have to crave it to just come to kung fu.
