I have played at all of the courses in our area and beyond. I've never been turned away because of cargo shorts. And they also told my friend that he has to tuck in his shirt. I always practice good golf etiquette. This was disappointing. I personally willing to pay $100 for a round of golf should not be turned away because of having pockets on the side of their shorts. The weather this year killed a lot of the grass on every course I have played in NY and Nj. The tee boxes had a lot of crabgrass and bare patches. The putting greens are very contoured and in pretty good shape. Overall a good experience given the lateness in the year and the extreme heat. I am hoping to return maybe when the leaves are in fall colors or in winter to enjoy some outdoor activities. I think sitting by the fireplace and enjoying a warming drink would be divine.
