Omg! It's not over yet.2 days left. A ton of history! 40 years ago when I was in my 20's I would j ride up from the city! on my motorcycle and meet a friend that had a summer home in Monticello. We would play 36 at swan lake Hour and a half full throttle. Great memories riding up. Fast forward shit ton of years. Three kids and four grandkids later , i wanted to come up and play. Swan lake closed. Hello Roscoe MTN. Ba. Boom! Perfect. Shot a slap it around horrible 97 with my bride of 40 years next to me. Tomorrow is a new day. Hit the bait shop in the Am and get on the lake. . Just what I wanted! 11.00 tee time. Wide open spaces , quiet af, wide open golf course. And really sweep peeps! Absolute home run for grandpa! The absolute cherry on the whole deal was. When I arrived to check in. Jim Diven was there ! My guy! What a wonderful surprise. Treat yourself to this place! The rooms are updated and modern. Our room had a balcony with a table and chairs where we could watch the sunset. The food in the restaurant was terrific . The staff was friendly and helpful. The golf course is nice. We were there for a three day event. Everything was run well. read more

What a wonderful location. Just a couple of hours from NYC in the rolling hills of the Catskills Mountains. The vibe is rustic and the 1907 restaurant makes you feel at home in a relaxing way. Our server Rosie was wonderful and attentive. I enjoyed speaking with Jim who told me that they are trying to promote the club by having some special events. They have a lake with a boat house and several outdoor activities. Of course the main draw is golf. He mentioned they had just hosted a concert to draw some attention for the locals to the club. The food was nicely presented. We were here on a Saturday, which was steak night. You must start with the pretzel, hot, soft and salty. Loved the cheese and mustard dips. Calamari with red sauce was equally good. My wife enjoyed the trout with rice & roasted broccoli, the Sullivan smash and chicken caprese were both hits. I had the steak special cooked perfectly medium rare. The steak came with roasted broccoli, mac & cheese which used pene pasta (very cheesy and filling). Bar prices are very reasonable. All the bottles of wine were also nicely priced. I am hoping to return maybe when the leaves are in fall colors or in winter to enjoy some outdoor activities. This review is for the restaurant. I emailed a week and a half ahead for a reservation on a Saturday night. Our party of 6 was well taken care of, though I found the food to be hit or miss. I tried: + Gin martini + Wedge salad + NY strip + Trout meunière + Sweet potato waffle fries + Lava cake The good: Martini was fantastic (I had maybe a few too many) and the sweet potato fries and dessert were perfect. The bad: The strip was VERY marbled for a strip (???) and the fries that came with it were unfortunately undercooked. Trout was also pretty salty. However, the vibes and service here are great. My recc would be to go here for drinks, SP fries, and the fireplace! read more

Newly renovated Roscoe Mountain Club did not disappoint during a recent work retreat with a group of colleagues. Food was absolutely fantastic; rooms were spacious and clean. The property is sprawling and the night sky views are worth whatever the price of the room might be. They just built an ice rink and I'm considering heading back over the winter to check that out. Didn't stay over on a Thursday night but heard that the wings are great (and Thursday is wing night at the onsite restaurant). Awesome place for a getaway. read more

I loved staying here. I stayed for 2 nights in January. The resort is beautiful in the snow. The Inn room was nicely decorated and painted with a cool modern/industrial look. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were the coziest I've ever felt. The room was big with a nice Keurig, TV, microwave, and balcony view. We went to a fun Barn Party where there was a two person live band, games, and a nice hangout vibe. We also ice skated, sled, explored, and had great, reasonably priced food (delicious omelets, and amazing chicken florentine). The staff was very nice and helpful. The team plowed snow quickly, and the club is a nice drive, about 10 minutes, from some restaurants and a nice cafe on the creek. I don't have any big complaints - two minor things are house keeping seems to be by request only but we didn't see any communication on that, and some things seem to close early if there isn't enough traffic (dinner hours / ice skating, so keep in touch with the front desk. They're very responsive over text). Overall, I had a blast. It was great. read more

Great hospitality and reasonable rates. The golf course is challenging and creative and is set in a beautiful Catskill environment. The restaurant serves a variety of great food from local trout to savory pasta and hearty steak, well thought out and well prepared. Great new spot in Roscoe up at Tenannah Lake! Had a wonderful dinner last evening. Our great waitress named Megan was friendly, attentive and informed. Absolutely awful conditions on the golf course. Paid $65 to play and the course is nearly unplayable. Gold tees have a mix of grass, dandelions and other weeds, sometimes 4-5" high. Very wet conditions. So wet in fact that course should have not opened. Mud all over. Have never seen a course like this. Would have stayed for lunch but would not give them any more of my money. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Things happen, it's part of the business. A/C breaks in a heat wave, you have staff shortages, your chef is leaving, you go over budget or you go in over your head and take on more than you can handle. Sometimes these things happen all at the same time and that sucks. How a business handles these things is EVERYTHING because every single guest is a future client. Lots of future clients were lost at a recent event. Typically staff goes into damage control and does everything they can to make things better, but they failed that night. It felt like they didn't even try. The venue was hot (no A/C), dirty (couldn't see out of windows), understaffed (no table service, one bartender with a VERY limited bar, not enough appetizers) and food was boxed or frozen (boxed mashed potatoes, soggy gnocchi, bowl of lettuce, bread with no butter and breaded rib meat chicken patty). If there was a corner, it was cut. This is unsustainable business practice and that's sad because the venue is STUNNING. read more

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks reception at the Roscoe Mountain Club. Thank you to Shannon and the entire staff for creating the perfect evening for us. The food was delicious and the ambiance warm and welcoming for a wedding in the mountains. Our guests enjoyed capping off the evening by making s'mores around the fire. What a difference a year can make!!! We've been coming here - under different name/owners for many years (20+)...to say I was disappointed is an understatement! We brought our friends with us & had "talked up " the place; thank God the great view from the back outdoor porch at least was the same (can't mess up with Mother Nature !?! It took a long time to get our breakfast order, typical breakfast fare, in the meantime our coffee cups were not refilled and we had to ask for water...I had to get up and ask another table for sugar (after having asked the waitress when our coffees came out. Two of us asked for " eggs over easy ", two others ordered the western omelettes. Both omelettes came out undercooked - raw eggs visible! One person changed their order, the other told the waitress to put it through the microwave... Lastly, a year ago - when we (eight of us) had an excellent buffet brunch I fell in love with the coffee mug & asked if I could purchase one; the waitress asked & said although they would sell them in the future, they weren't selling BUT they sold me one anyways!! What I call "good business acumen "!! I wanted to purchase another mug this time (and even after the uncooked omelette) was told " no "...to the place's Manager, very poor customer relations!!! I would have given up a mug - made us feel a heck of a lot better! What a shame...! So sorry after many years of going to this place, to leave with a bad taste - literally !! read more

I spent the weekend at Roscoe Mountain Club and it was the perfect weekend getaway. We stayed at the recently renovated Inn on premise and it did not disappoint. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We loved the cozy room we stayed in.. The bedding was so comfortable and the cabin decor was so nice. We also had a great meal at the restaurant. We definitely will be going back! read more

Recent Guest at Wedding Views are breathtaking. My experience here other than the views left many areas for improvement. Young couples spend a lot of money these days for a wedding, and that should be honored and respected. There were not enough chairs to accommodate guests at ceremony. I watched as the Mother of The Bride gathered chairs and set them up (not event staff) while in her beautiful gown immediately before the ceremony. Very hot day in July and the cocktail hour was across grass/meadow and a sloping hill from the ceremony. Only 2 golf carts shuffling over 100 guests that took way too much time..30-40 minutes..leaving many guests to miss a significant portion of cocktail hour. Only ONE bartender for mixed drinks...line was very long 20 minutes. Asked for a whiskey sour and was told by the bartender that the Bride and Groom did not want whiskey served (I believe this was untrue). On to the venue...where there was no effective air conditioning! Extremely hot and uncomfortable. Not sure if this was broken..but again the staff did not bring fans until multiple complaints. Champagne was warm and flat...made me wonder how long it sat poured on tables. After initial water, we needed to go to bar to get water. Had to clear all glassware ourselves and bring to bar. Food was edible but not impressive. Watched Bride and Groom cut cake...but none was ever served. There were cupcakes around the cake..and when you went to get one..no plates. No coffee served. With so many fails in so many areas..this falls directly on whomever managed this event. Very poorly done, and very little respect shown for the young couple who paid for this service on a glorious day In my opinion. read more

Went there last night for dinner with my wife for the first time. The restaurant located on Tannah lake next to the golf course giving you a great view of course and the lake. They have a new young Chef and our meal was great. My wife had the charred Caesar salad and the house pasta dish, while I had the General dumplings ( excellent) and the steak . I had dinner tonight on the deck and it was lovely. The salmon Caeser was nice...only complaint was the dressing tasted like sour bottled dressing. But the salmon was cooked perfectly and the romaine was fresh and crisp. The highlight was the staff. The hostess (whose name i didn't catch) and the waitress Olivia went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. This establishment should hold onto both of them...I would recommend this restaurant for their excellent service!!! read more

I was invited to a birthday party there which fell on "Wing Night", as an industry veteran I have tasted hundreds of different wing flavors and styles. These are in my top ten, possibly top five. The price was outstanding on wing night but would gladly pay full price as even that is very reasonable.
