We tried the picada and the ceviche de chicharrón--both were delicious, but the picada was definitely the star of the meal. Flavorful, generous, and perfect for sharing. The service was excellent and truly one of the best parts of the experience--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They also have a small store inside where you can find Colombian chocolates, dulces, coffee, and other products, which adds a really nice touch and makes the place feel even more special. If you want something great that you've never tried before, this is it! Tartaretas Burger is a cool Colombian spin on burgers. The team is super friendly and will get you setup to eat here or to get it to go. I ate in and ate at the bar. I tried the Tartareta Corn Burger. It took a few minutes to come out, but it was worth the wait. It was cheeseburger covered in a cheesy corn blend. I put some of the house sauce on it and wow, it was so good. There was a thin slice of pineapple and a some bacon on the burger. The flavors worked so well together! The beef was beautiful cooked and was good all on its own. The bun was soft and fresh and the fries were a nice golden brown. The flavors were all unique and just worked well! I'd happily try another burger here!!! Great food, great service! read more

Tartaretas Burger Restaurant is worth a visit! The workers here are incredibly kind, and they work so hard. While the burgers are on the pricier side, they are huge, and the quality is outstanding. You also cannot miss the papas con todo appetizer--those loaded fries are completely irresistible and full of flavor. If you want a healthier option, the Gratin Breast is a delicious grilled chicken breast served over fries with a fresh side salad. This place delivers amazing Colombian flavors, so come hungry. The space is small so it can get crowded on the weekends. read more

A small stripmall space decorated with the tri-colors of the Colombian flag - yellow, red and blue with graffiti style art, 8 tables, 3 stools and a small case of packaged Colombian products for sale. I couldn't resist one of their over the top burgers. My onion burger was a large patty over a bed of lettuce and tomatoes, then topped with cheese and a grilled pineapple slice. Five onion rings were stacked on top and drenched with a white sauce and a strip of bacon on top of that, all inside a soft warm brioche bun. A large side of fries and 3 cups of condiments - white powdered cheese, a pineapple chutney/jam and more white sauce. It was so damn good - all of it! With a little detective work, I believe the white sauce is mayo / garlic based with possibly some grated carrots and cilantro?? It was addictive as was the pineapple jam. I also took home a ham and cheese empanada with a cup of garlic sauce for a later meal - also wonderful. My fries were plentiful and perfectly fried, but totally unnecessary with such a big burger; I ate about a 1/3 of them. I also ordered a Columbiana soda. A light fruity cream soda style of cola that reminded me of Peru's Inca Cola which I have had prior. My waiter was very eager to show me photos and give explanations of the menu items before ordering. A great experience. read more

Great place to try new things. The place is smaller but can still seat a party of 12. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful with the menu. This is not your typical burger joint. Esteban was phenomenal! The food was unexpectedly exceptional! We went here on cinco de mayo b cause all the Mexican restaurants were packed. What an amazing find! This hole in the wall restaurant has exceptional food! I'm telling you this place is awesome!! There was 8 of us and nobody had anything bad to say. Try it!! You will not be disappointed. This is a nice hidden gem of a place. Very simple yet feels like a local neighborhood spot. Colombian inspired menu and the food portions are generious for the price. I was satisfied no doubt. Would highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Very delicious food with generous portions. The empanadas were filled with braised beef that was flavorful and melted in your mouth. The chorizo burger was huge, so I was glad we only ordered one to share. The chorizo that came on the burger was similar to a polish sausage with oregano in it. It was a moist burger patty, and it overall reminded me of burgers that I have had in Mexico. The waiter was helpful explaining menu items to us because we weren't too familiar with Colombian food. The restaurant sells some Colombian goods like candies and drinks. The place seemed clean and I had no real complaints about the ambiance. I would definitely recommend for a unique dining experience in KC. read more

It was Cinco De Mayo, we (8 of us) were going to go to a local mexican restaurant but when we got there it was an hour and 45 minute wait. We decided to walk down a few doors and see what was there. We found Tartaretas Burger. WOW!! What an amazing find! This place may not look like much but let me tell you.... they bring the Columbian flavors!!. The food here is absolutley amazing! What a surprise to find this place. The service as well as the food were on point. This was the first time most of us ever tried Columbian cuisine. Every one of us agreed that it was exceptional! Very yummy food would go again because the burgers are huge! Very enjoyable place to be although a little packed.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Interesting and different. Great service and food. Super positive vibe. Aimar was wonderful with us , explaining the items on the menu and checking in on us to see how we were doing. Loved the house special, burger and fries with a Columbian twist!
