    Jarritos!
    Brian W.

Introduced my wife to mole' tortas and Jarritos at this wonderful gem of a restaurant in Lenexa. Fantastic food, great service and awesome luchadore masks adorning the place. One of the best breakfasts in KC!

Super nice restaurant. We came for coffee and breakfast and there weren't a whole lot of people there. Tried their croissant sandwich and breakfast burrito and both were very savory and tasty. Their verde salsa was good with a small hint of spice. Also tried their horchata iced latte which was very smooth and had a good sweetness to it. Their cafe de olla was also delicious; its coffee brewed with cinnamon and other spices! I would definitely come here for breakfast and their lunch/dinner menu had many tasty sounding options including tortas, tostadas, enchiladas, tacos, and caldo!

Super good food for a nice price. The place was clean. I want to come back and try everything on the menu

Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas with Mole Sauce, Rice and Beans

Was craving Mole sauce and went her for the second time on 4/17/24. Food - good Service - ok (order, plate delivered to table, that's it. Ambiance - Very simple non noisy restaurant. This place is a good hole-in-the-wall experience for "more" real Mexican food. Got the chicken and cheese enchiladas with Mole sauce. Comes with rice and beans small portion of them, and unfortunately lukewarm at best. Shredded chicken on the inside, nice corn tortillas and a sprinkling of co-hita cheese on top. Mole sauce is the star of this show! Really good flavor and texture, spicy but more of a cinnamon spice than a buffalo ww spice. Fill your own drink to the right of the order counter, grab your own straws etc. I'll be back to try tacos and more.

There is a lot to be said for a really good hole-in-the-wall experience, but Cafecito Lindo takes it up a notch! It's small, so it was a bit drafty on a cold day, but my whole body and spirit felt warm when enjoying the tacos!! The menu was so diverse with a great mixture of a few Americanized dishes, with plenty of authentic Mexican plates as well. But the best part of my double taco plate? The warm Chipotle sauce!! It packed some initial heat, but then the warm flavor just settled in on my tongue and made me want more! I believe Cafecito Lindo is family owned, and they're proud of it! As they should be! All the service we received was fast and super kind. The tortilla was soft and chewy. The guacamole was ideal. The Yes, they could declutter a few areas, but a working restaurant has its supplies! I'd come back again in a heartbeat!

Was recommended to try this place by a family member. This is a small hole in the wall restaurant located right off of 87th street. They have a pretty decent sized menu and have lots of traditional foods to choose from. I opted for the green chilaquiles verdes with asada (steak) and egg. The green salsa was very subtle in spice but had decent flavor with a very heavy taste of lime. The asada was pretty decent as well, nothing too special. The green salsa pictured was very tasty- also with a heavy lime taste. The food came out within a span of 10 minutes or so which is always a little worrisome. I imagine since the chilaquiles are a staple here, they're probably preparing things ahead of time. I think this is a nice little place to stop by if you're looking to stop somewhere quick with very reasonable pricing. Will probably stop here again.

Came here on a Sunday around 11:30 because I really wanted a breakfast burrito. When I read the menu there was no breakfast burrito on it so I was disappointed but there were so many other good looking options so we stayed. It was busy but the line moved quickly and tables turned over just as they were needed. When I got to the register I asked if they had a breakfast burrito and she said yes, of course, served all day. It had egg, potato, beans, bison sausage and cheese in it. It was delicious and pretty dang big for $4.99. My husband had the carnitas bowl and said it was very good as well.

Went here with some friends for a Sunday brunch. It wasn't too busy and we took a lot of time deciding what to order. I got the sopes because I've never had those before, one friend got the Cuban sandwich, and the other got the Asada tacos. I added a Mexican Coke to my order. I really enjoyed the sopes, the chorizo that I had added was quite spicy, so I didn't eat that much, but I really enjoyed it on the day that I ordered it as well as leftovers next day. We agreed that it was a really great location for the three of us to meet since I live in Overland Park, one friend lives in Lenexa and another one lives in Olathe so it was a pretty straight shot for all three of us. We also like that the service was quick and it wasn't that busy. So we will probably be going there again in the future. I should add the space is very cute. I don't know that I would say the food was five star, it didn't knock my socks off, but it was very tasty and it was solid, and I don't have any real complaints.

Quaint little coffee shop that also serves authentic Mexican and Latin American cuisine. You order at the counter and they bring you your food, pretty straight forward process. Priced very friendly for the quality of food. I ordered the Poblano Breakfast and a Café Con Leche. Counter workers very friendly and answered my questions about the menu with ease. Will definitely be back to try the chilaquiles. Only criticism if I had to find one.... I wish I had ordered a side of tortillas to mop up the delicious Molé.

Absolutely delightful coffee shop and restaurant. I loved the atmosphere, it was like stepping into a small town in Mexico. I had the Mexican bread pudding and as someone that will order bread pudding every chance I can I have to say this is the bread pudding I've ever eaten. They even beat out New Orleans. The coffee was spring and smooth with a perfect foam on top. Highly recommend. The service is fantastic and they are more than happy to recommend their favorites.

Food was pretty good! Nice spot near my house. I got the chilaquiles. It was I took pictures of their current menu since there isn't any on yelp. I forgot to take pictures of my food :( it looked to good to wait. Lol

This place is amazing. We enjoyed the food & the cafecito. The service is also very good. Highly recommend.

Yes, $9. That's on the expensive side for a latte, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Everything about the experience was quick and efficient. The line moved fast, my drink came out quickly, and I was in and out with no issues. The shop itself seemed like a great place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend. Since it was such a nice day, I decided to sit outside. My first sip immediately stood out because of the texture. It was probably the smoothest coffee I've ever had; silky, creamy, and almost pillowy on the tongue. Unfortunately, that's where most of my praise ends. The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price. I ordered a vanilla latte, but I couldn't taste any vanilla at all and got virtually no sweetness from the drink. Overall, it's not bad coffee by any means, and the texture was genuinely impressive. But for nearly $9, I expected a lot more flavor. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't come back at that price point.

Their signature sweet cream and oak coffee was good. Since I asked for light ice, it was definitely more milk so the flavor was light, just a hint. My mom liked her matcha just fine.

If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. Sure there are plants, but they're a ways away and it felt more like hanging out in a midwestern garage. The other issue that has me knocking it down some stars is that this has become THE place to get warm. Sure we have our furnaces blasting in January, or a fireplace roaring, but you know that kind of late spring, humid warm? This is usually it, but I have to say I was borderline cold on my last visit. It felt clammy and more "March spring" than "May spring." Coffee is EXCELLENT from Thou Mayest, and it's hard to go wrong. Wifi was not all that strong and ran into a few issues on a video call, but is relatively sufficient for most day-to-day work items if you choose to work from here. If it's equidistant, I would say go to the Shawnee location for sure. If this is the closest one, it's not all bad, but I would love to see some real warmth and color in here to help complete the escape-winter-energy that we all need during this cold, gray stretch.
