Career Services was another highlight. They helped me land my first job within a month of becoming licensed and continued to provide guidance afterward. They didn't just push nursing home or home health positions. They encouraged me to become IV-certified, shared opportunities in acute care and specialty clinics, and gave practical advice on presenting myself professionally during the job search. My biggest criticism is the clinical experience. For the cost of tuition, I expected more variety in clinical placements. Most of my rotations were in skilled nursing facilities and community health clinics, and I would have appreciated more hospital experience. I also wish the school had considered commute times and transportation when assigning clinical sites. Students without reliable access to a car often had long commutes on public transportation, which made already demanding clinical days even more challenging. I think this is an area where the program could be more equitable and student-centered. Overall, I believe ACC does an excellent job preparing students to pass the NCLEX and provides valuable career support after graduation. My main suggestion for improvement would be creating a more balanced, accessible, and diverse clinical experience that better reflects the investment students make in the program.

I maintained great grades, helped my classmates study, and spent countless hours making sure the people around me succeeded. I wasn't just another student I genuinely cared about becoming an LVN and wanted everyone around me to succeed as well. Before everything happened, I proudly promoted CDI because I truly believed it was an amazing school. I posted a video about my experience that went viral, and because of that, I had numerous people reach out asking about the program and wanting to enroll. I spoke highly of CDI because I believed in what they stood for. Looking back now, I regret encouraging people to attend a school that ultimately showed me so little grace. After posting a video from my first day of skills lab, I was placed on a leave of absence. I removed the video when I was instructed to, but that isn't the point. The point is that I was forced to sit out for nearly four months over what I believe was a minor, first-time mistake. By the time I was able to return, I no longer wanted to. The way I was treated completely changed how I viewed the school. What made everything even more frustrating was watching what I believed to be inconsistent discipline. During my time in the program, I was aware of students who had been involved in much more serious incidents at clinical sites, yet they remained in the program. Meanwhile, I lost months of my education over a social media post that I immediately corrected when asked. I never felt like CDI advocated for me as a student. Instead, I felt like protecting relationships with clinical sites mattered more than standing behind a student who had worked hard, earned good grades, and genuinely wanted to become a nurse. This experience delayed my education, cost me time and money, and took a serious toll on my mental health. I am now beginning therapy because of the emotional impact this experience has had on my life. I hope CDI realizes that behind every student is a person with dreams, responsibilities, and a future. Accountability is important, but so is fairness, consistency, and giving people the opportunity to learn from a mistake. Unfortunately, I don't feel I was given that opportunity.

I was going through a divorce, dealing with community property disputes, attending court hearings, raising my young son, managing my household, and trying to keep up with the demands of nursing school at the same time. I remember one incident where I became very upset after being accused of being late when I was actually in the restroom. I broke down crying and asked a teacher for help. Afterward, I reflected on my behavior and apologized sincerely, even bringing flowers as a gesture of goodwill. What troubled me most was that after this incident, I felt I was treated differently. I was repeatedly questioned about drug use and told that my drug tests showed concerns. The only medication I was taking was Klonopin, which had been legally prescribed by my physician. Rather than receiving understanding and support during a very difficult period of my life, I often felt judged and stigmatized. Looking back, I felt that certain members of the administration wanted me to leave the program. I also felt that I was not provided the same level of guidance and training that other students received. For example, during a clinical shift, I had an important divorce court hearing. I specifically asked my clinical instructor whether I could attend the online hearing from the yard during my break, and I was told that I could. Later, I was criticized for doing exactly what I had been given permission to do, which left me feeling confused and unfairly treated. My experience was that there was very little empathy or support for students facing significant personal hardships. Nursing school is challenging enough, but students dealing with major life crises need guidance, understanding, and professionalism from school leadership. I do want to acknowledge the individuals who treated me with kindness and respect. The accounting and financial aid departments were consistently helpful and supportive. In addition, Kim, one of the nursing leaders, was compassionate and understanding toward students and demonstrated genuine concern for their well-being. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this school to students who are struggling with major personal challenges and are looking for a supportive educational environment. While others may have different experiences, I felt that empathy, understanding, and student support were lacking from portions of the administration during my time there.

The phlebotomy instructor, Mr.K is a no nonsense instructor, he is there to make sure you are prepared and ready to take the NHA exam. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He is a great instructor but be ready to work hard, practice and learn. He is willing to allow students who have passed the exam to come and practice which is always a plus to gain more experience.

I went to this school and paid for their online and class, which BTW is useless since they only cover 5% of the 1500 pages of the textbook, and for someone like me who failed twice the state exam after using this class, i have to say their classroom material are totally not test questions and are way off Overall i feel it was waste of $500, and here why? 1- Their book PDF come in within their site not as PDF file, and search in it is impossible. not practical for study purpose. 2- They suggest you to pass the three certificates on open books, its a wrong method because, you really need to know every single page of those 1500 pages. 3- The test questions are totally different with certificate test questions, or even their simulators, not by how they are phrased but by subject matter, as a whole. 4- I really threw myself into their site and their classes and put lots of time like 7 hours a day for 30 days prior to exam plus three months of going to those waste of time blue cart postal classes. I pass their state exam simulators three times at over 90% but the CA state exam I was at 61% and 62%!! 5- They use finance as their third subject which is one of hardest material. Try to choose an school that they don't have finance as their 3rd material since practice and principal are mandatory. Recap: For me, they are way off from the state exam. Having said that CA state exam is extremely hard and according to what they told me at DRE test room, only between 20%-30% pass the test on any given test day. That what those examiners told me.DRE website said they get 3000 applicant a month and issue roughly 1200 license. The way that State Exam sentences the test questions and wording definition, its not English, you need to be a code breaker to pass the test. Extremely hard to pass, and do not pay the $400 for finger print and background stuff, in our class three students did it, and they all failed, so now they are stuck with $400 background check. its waste of money, pass the hardest part first, state exam, then pay for the bureaucracy. This school suggest you to pay everything, but don't listen to them. Wrong school, not recommended at all, and it even turn me off to want to become an agent.
