I love the diversity of Nashville's food scene. TashTea was a must visit during my recent trip. This Kurdish/turkish spot is tastefully decorated with some really unique options for how you sit when you dine! There is plenty of parking. I got a Turkish breakfast, along with some traditional tea. The breakfast was plentiful with multiple wonderful options, including cheese, eggs, fresh vegetables, sweets, and bread. The tea is prepared in a unique way with a combination of brew tea and hot water. I love that everything was in a very traditional platter. A delicious meal. I wish I had room to try some desserts but I will save that for next time. The servers were very courteous and polite.

What a fantastic mother's day treat! We came in the afternoon and had about a 30 minute wait but it was so worth it. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the Tash Tea for two which was a ton of food. We also ordered some other side dishes, a turkish coffee, and a kurdish coffee. Everything was so tasty that we decided to get another round of coffee and a dessert. What a delightful experience and something totally different. Will be back with friends soon!

the food was INCREDIBLE. absolutely delicious & definitely worth the hype. Both the coffee and tea were phenomenal. Ordered the TashTea for 3 and then a few other things and were absolutely blown away. The menemem and the potato börek were favorites at the table and it was so fun to mix sauces and try different combinations. The floor seating is really comfortable but if you have lower back issues definitely recommend a normal table. The staff was kind but service was quite slow. I enjoyed how knowledgeable the staff was ! Reservations are not necessary. Their online system doesn't work. You can call and make a reservation but on a Saturday morning there were still plenty of tables. Be prepared to be here a while, this was not a quick in & out breakfast. Perfect spot for catching up with friends & taking your time to enjoy some really really good food.

The staff were friendly, the food was good but to be honest not filling between 2 people. Will try this place again

I've been passing this place for months. Scrolling the clock app, I saw a review and it was immediately added to my must try list. I'm an early riser so I went in shortly after open on a Sunday. I'm a sucker for esthetically appealing things... the decor was really cute! Of course I opted for the traditional floor seating. I wanted the full experience . We were immediately seated. The food was delicious. Very flavorful. Since I'm coming back with a group soon, I didn't get the Tash Tea Breakfast spread. I opted to get the Menemen. It was great! It's going to be hard to order anything else the next time I go. VERY Flavorful and served with bread. To drink I had a Matcha Latte and it's hands down one of the best I've had in Nashville. I also ordered a Cuban to go. It was ok. Very strong. As I got to the bottom, it was less strong and really tasty. I. WILL. BE. BACK

A great place to eat when you have out-of-town guests or are in the mood for something different. The owners are available and approachable and willing to share details of their story and of the incredible variety of breakfast food. We sat in the low section to get as authentic an experience as possible. The food was plentiful and we've taken leftovers with us each visit. The service is professional and knowledgeable and definitely unobtrusive. They will talk as much as you want to talk and leave you to yourself when you want. The atmosphere is calming and relaxed. No putting on airs, just have a seat, take your time and enjoy. I think this must be the way meals are taken back home.

This is a small but vibey shop offering standard table seating & some floor cubby seating on pillows for a more traditional aesthetic. The food here is exceptional & I would argue it's one of the best breakfast options in the city. If you're dining with 2-4 get 4-5 dishes & share & there will likely be leftovers . Two of my favorites are the beef borek & the gozleme. Service is friendly & attentive. We are very lucky to have a great Kurdish food scene here.

AMAZING!!!! You can not ask for better service, the staff is wonderful. And the food is even better. The inside is decorated so cute and makes you feel so calm and peaceful. Will definitely be going back often.

Probably the best meal I had while in Nashville! Absolutely amazing food that fills you up without leaving you feeling too heavy! The tea was great and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. Cannot wait to visit TashTea in the future!

Well damn... it was really hard to eat and be still the food was so darn good! The rose jelly.... my goodness! The tomato/sausage dish and fresh af hummus... lordt help me! But yall..... that brown sauce of grape and sesame something.... lordt! Men.... that brown sauce is a great way to get.... YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN WINK WINK!!! My goodness I was not expecting this AT ALL! Obviously I will be back! I. Wondering at night do the play more trendy Turkish music and loosen up some? Because the food is perfect and the ambiance is beautiful! I could see it being like the cafes in the Netherlands minus the smoke

Single Tashtea breakfast... the rose jam was awesome!

Wow, I wasn't expecting much, this was just a breakfast place I found on Yelp on our way into Nashville, but this deserves a five star rating. First, the staff actually seemed genuinely happy and friendly, not just the fake server niceness you see. Second, everything we ate was delicious- my favorite was the rose jam that came with the Tashtea breakfast, but the fried eggs and sausage plate was also really good. The menemem was great as well, it was like pizza without the crust. It was busy but not obnoxiously so on a busier than usual Sunday morning. We got to sit at a low table on cushions, but they have normal tables as well. I highly recommend this place!

We absolutely loved TashTea! It is an amazing experience and I would recommend that you come hungry and order the TashTea - it comes with so much food and an assortment so you get a little of everything. And don't be afraid to ask questions! The staff is so kind and will answer questions or give recommendations. Everything was delicious and fresh. Can't wait to go back again. I didn't get a photo but we also tried the baklava which was absolutely delicious. This is a cozy little restaurant that is so cute inside with lovely ambiance.

I honestly have never had a restaurant prepared meal that was even remotely prepared to this caliber of perfection! Alright here we go.... I always ask for suggestions when I'm trying something new.....And you can always tell when it's a knowledgeable, helpful and caring person by what they recommend....the 4 to 5 gentlemen who took care of us brought us an abundance of delicious and beautifully presented foods, including sides and specialties...we were blown away!! Service was beyond perfect....it really feels like you're hanging out with the family you always kinda wanted...lol! Above and beyond!!! Ambiance is comforting and relaxing not at all pretentious with plenty of room for large groups and families to enjoy together. I base a lot of my opinions about the overall quality of the restaurants that I review on the cleanliness of their restrooms....it's a "basic bottle line" that says everything you need to know about where you could potentially be eating and drinking by doing nothing more than taking a quick trip to the toilet. If it's a mess, LEAVE!! If it's kept up, well stocked and CLEAN, then hug the owner, tell your friends and family to eat there and write a good review because phenomenal places with pristine restrooms like Edessa are becoming a rarity, a thing of the past, a novelty in a new era of nasty, busted and gross establishments serving crap.... Grapes leaves, order them. Hummus was smooth and creamy, pita hot. Their lamb smelled delicious but I'm not eating meat at the moment so didn't try it. Service is quick and kind. I'd…read moresaved them in my Nashville bookmarks for some time after they received a lot of acclaim on Yelp - I believe at one time they were on a Yelp list of best restaurants in the US. We were certainly excited to try Uzbek food, as there's nowhere that serves it where we live. The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the outside and the parking lot is a little run down. However, the inside is very updated and super clean and comfortable. There's lots of seating, what appears to be a private room in the back, and some high-tech features, like a machine that you can use to alert waitstaff if you need a refill, a to-go box, or any other kind of attention. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Service was a little strange. I wouldn't say it was slow - every time we placed an order or had a request, our food or items were promptly brought out to us. However, the challenge came in getting the attention of our waitresses. Two ladies took care of us, alternating based on availability. One was very nice and friendly, the other a little gruff and irritable-seeming. But both were completely averse to coming in and checking on us without one of us flagging them down. Perhaps they're used to the little machines? I don't like using those because they come across as too demanding; I'd prefer to just be visited and checked in on from time to time by staff. Not so here. Despite not being very busy, our visit took a lot of time, even though the actual food service was fairly quick. Onto the food, the most important part. We ordered a lot because I wanted to experience as many unique dishes as possible. One waitress first brought out a complimentary serving of pita and what I believe was suzma, which the menu describes as a yogurt-based cheese. This was one of the highlights of our meal, actually, as the pita was hot, fresh, and very lightly charred. The suzma went very well with it. Then we ordered a chicken somsa and some Uzbek bread. The chicken somsa was alright; the pastry was delightfully flaky, but for me it was way too onion-forward. The Uzbek bread was another highlight. It was a temperature and textural delight - so warm and fluffy - if not a flavor bomb. It was great to polish off the remaining suzma from our complimentary treat. For entrees, my husband wanted to try the signature osh, while I ordered chicken shashlik. The osh was probably the better of the two but he didn't love it. It was quite greasy and the lamb was on the gamey side. My chicken shashlik had definitely been near charcoal too long; it had an overly-charred, unpleasant chemical-y taste. The accompanying rice had so much butter or oil in it that it was greasy, too, and although that imparted more flavor into it, I felt gross after a couple of bites. Everything was cooked well, just the flavors really didn't quite come together for us on this visit. It's hard for me to believe, given the average outstanding reviews and consistent praise this place gets, that our experience was an average one. Perhaps we just came on an off day or ordered the wrong things for our palates, since we're fairly unfamiliar with this cuisine. I would be willing to try again some day, but sadly our first visit didn't quite wow the way we'd hoped it would. I appreciate the clean and pretty environment and quickly prepared food!
