    MEYHANE EXPERIENCE (for two)
    Simone G.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Do not skip the MEYHANE EXPERIENCE (for two). It is the perfect start to your meal with endless warm pita, and different delicious creative dips. The staff goes out of their way to explain to you and make sure you're good. They also remembered me the second time I came back and accommodated my preferences from my first visit! I mean every single dip is so so delicious. Perfect place to celebrate with a group and share plates or go on a date. I also got the mixed grill which is perfect to share for two as well. It also gives you a chance to taste all of the different meats and comes with a salad and delicious warm fluffy rice that has chickpeas. I don't think you can go wrong with ordering anything from here. They also offer Turkish tea and coffee which I haven't tried yet. Definitely will be back and bring friends!

    The best Hummus in Nashville

Delicious Turkish food and possibly the best Hummus in Nashville. Kardes, in the L&L Market, is unimposing, but their food and their service are excellent. A friend and I visited for lunch. We sat at the counter and we were cheerfully greeted by our server who immediately poured us water with ice. My friend and I shared the delicious warm Hummus. There are yummy pieces of smoked sausage in the Hummus that totally elevate the flavor and the texture. It is served with warm pita bread and the server brought us a second round of bread without us asking for it. I then had the Meatball Wrap. The meatballs are freshly made and well seasoned. The sandwich was loaded with meat, lettuce, sauce, and some cherry tomatoes. This sandwich is better than most Gyros in Nashville. It was delicious and I would order it again. I really enjoyed my meal at Kardes and I recommend this restaurant.

Kind people. Nice set-up. Delicious food! We really enjoyed our first trip to Kardes. They greet you with a complimentary high-quality hot tea. The menu is small, but the servers go over any items or questions with you. As a vegetarian I had an option that was not yet on the menu. Such beautifully crafted Turkish cuisine. We shared a delicious carrot dish as an appetizer. I got a dish with sunchokes and pomegranate seeds. My friends had a mixed grill. The other diners appeared just as happy as we did. I'm thinking of every excuse to go back.

Kardes is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville! The food is so authentic and delicious. My four year old son is obsessed with it and ask to go there all the time. Highly recommend the Kisir. The service is also amazing. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Easily one of the best restaurants around.

Such a great new spot with amazing food and even better people A friend suggest so I checked out this brand new Turkish restaurant and honestly loved everything about it. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, and was homemade and you could tell. I had the Kisir (kind of like a bulgur salad served in lettuce wraps) which was light and delicious. The Börek was flaky and hit the spot. And the pumpkin dessert with kaymak was unexpectedly good. The kaymak (had to google it - it's clotted cream) takes it over the top. Finished with a Turkish coffee, (it's supposed to have grounds on the bottom) which was strong, smooth, and exactly how it should be. The owners are Cem, Selim, and Oscar and are so kind. You can tell they care about the food and the experience. They make you feel like you're a guest, not just a customer. It's rare to find a place that feels this genuine right from the start. Definitely worth checking out. Try it if you want a food adventure that's not typical

As we sat down a cup of tea was offered, a lovely way to start a meal.

We shared the Meyhane experience and it was delicious. This was a late lunch and we plan to return to enjoy more of the kabobs and wraps.

    Meyhane Experience!

Amazing experience at Kardes Everything at Kardes was so fresh, unique, and beautifully presented. The flavors were spot‑on, and the staff were genuinely lovely -- warm, friendly, and really made the whole visit feel special. Such a great place for lunch or dinner! I loved the Meyhane Experience which was a sampler platter of all their fun spreads! It's a must!!

Excellent! Best Turkish food in town! Highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back soon!

Physical Location & Service: The space itself is great. It's clean, airy, and thankfully cool, which is a lifesaver in a Nashville summer. There's also plenty of seating available. The cashier and the workers were friendly, which was a nice touch. Food & Flavor: This is where it all fell apart. I got the build-your-own bowl with the Mediterranean harissa chicken. I'm not sure if they got the memo that this is the home of hot chicken, but the harissa chicken was completely bland and not spicy at all. The rice pilaf was a major letdown--super under-seasoned and crunchy, like some of the grains were uncooked. The tzatziki sauce was also underwhelming, just an unseasoned yogurt mess with no flavor. Value: All of that came to $17 for a very unsatisfying meal. I wasn't expecting an authentic Greek experience, just something Greek-adjacent, and this felt more like something from a bland potluck. Definitely not worth the price for the quality of food received.

However for the price that I paid I would expect a lot more food. There was barely anything in there and almost no tzatziki. What was there was good, but I am not sure I'd order here again

I've wanted to eat at Fattoush Café since I moved to Nashville, but I've never found myself in that part of town at meal time. We walked in and found a cozy atmosphere, with no pretense. A single gentleman behind the counter, who may have been the owner, begged our indulgence as none of his employees had shown up to work that day. We were fine to wait given the delicious smells coming from the grill. He asked us if we wanted the chicken shawarma, and then apologized because he was freshly cooking a batch and it would take 15 minutes to be ready. That was music to our ears. Any Mediterranean restaurant that cooks proteins to order shows great promise. We had a chicken Shawarma salad, and the super platter. The portions were tremendous, the proteins were spectacular, and the tzatziki and spicy sauce both tasted looked and smelled homemade. The hummus was some of the best I've had in this town. The total for two huge meals, that really fed us each twice, was a paltry $40. The man behind the counter thanked us for coming in, again thanked us before we left, and was genuinely kind and seemed happy to have us in the restaurant. Very highly recommended for an amazing Middle Eastern meal on Charlotte Pike near downtown Nashville.

Two guys behind the counter in total control of their domain. Serving food that took time, but was delivered with quality in mind. Not skimping just to get through the rush. 2. Locals were happy to recommend options, and staff/owner made how they like. No one disappointed me, just wish I had a larger appetite. If you like authentic food cooked from the heart, try it out.
